That is something I would like to see here as well, maybe 2 stars, 1 regular foreign rider and then fill it up with swedes. It would be lower quality initially but would be beneficial in the long run.

The team that finished highest choose if they want to start at home or away. If Vetlanda win their semi I think they will choose to start away since always do. If Rospiggarna wins, Smederna have said that they will start away.

Vetlanda first said that they wanted more money from the city because otherwise they might have to drop out of Elitserien. Then a few days later they published a statement ("clarification") in which they said that they have a good and stable financial situation and that there was no reason for concern. The first statement and last statement seems a bit contradictory to me. They say that they have a good financial status, then why do they need more money from the city? I also see no reason for them to drop because they should be able to run with a team that matches their attendance average. I think they have become a bit lazy over the years. They have won many titles which have been rewarded with higher attendance. They should have invested more money into their track to make it more appealing to spectators. Pretty much what Smederna have done to this season (to some extent) with track improvements (better and closer racing), a new big screen and etc.

He has been lightning fast the past 2 weeks though. In the last GP, in the second leg of Smederna's quarter final against Dackarna and in the semi finals against Masarna. Well if the "play offs" wouldn't have existed Smederna would have been fifth but now we have got ourself into the final by knocking out the 2nd and 3rd placed teams in Elitserien. Having a "play off" as a national team champion decider gives extra meaning to the final rounds of the regular series. Without "play offs" a team could be far enough ahead for the title to already be decided and the final rounds would be meaningless. A standalone championship cup doesn't have the same "prestige" or what you want to call it as a series connected "play offs".
