Svemo just announced that all previously approved permits for Swedish riders in Poland have been revoked/declared invalid by Svemo to make sure that the Swedish riders will be available in Sweden if/when the Swedish league season starts. This only applies as long as the borders are closed/quarantine is needed. If/when travel restrictions within Europe are being lifted the Swedish riders will again be allowed to race in Poland. It only applies to riders who contract with a Swedish club to rider in the Swedish leagues. Svemo have issued a ban from riders from other countries coming to Sweden to participate in activities (mainly motocross). Apparently riders from Denmark have ignored the travel ban and travelled to Sweden to participate in activities. The Swedish elitserien teams have decided to postpone the start of the season to 2 June (4 weeks) . There will be no quarter finals either. Problems mentioned are also quarantine of riders / people that traveöl between countries. Nothing officially decided yet but there are apparently plans that the 2021 Individual SM-final will be a part of "Sm-veckan" (Swedish championship week). Sm-veckan is a like a national mini olympics where lots of sports come together and have their Swedish championship in the same city during one week. SM-veckan 2021 is held at Linköping (Filbyterna's hometown) and if the plans become reality the speedway final would be shown live on SVT (Swedish equivalent of BBC).
