  1. They've been bailed out by Motala kommun once before and are now asking for another loan, not sure if they repaid the first one (which was very generous with partial write offs annually).
  2. Elitserien section updated with social media links (not all teams have twitter and instagram though).
  3. Doyle to Västervik. Apparently it was only one rider presentation today from Västervik and not the entire team.
  4. Nicki Pedersen to Rospiggarna. Not a good move IMO. Nicki hasn't been riding much the last couple of seansons due to injury. Västervik will announce their team tomorrow at 14.00 CEST.
  5. I don't know, probably not. I agree that Målilla is much better then Hallstavik but GP at both Målilla and Västervik will not happen since they are too closely situated geographically.
  6. Already posted here (and I still think it is unnecessary to have two threads on the same topic).
  7. Wouldn't mind letting Västervik having a go for a GP (instead of Målilla).
  8. Rule changes for 2020 Elitserien and Allsvenskan have been posted, link. I've updated the first post to reflect rule changes. Elitserien: Tactical substitute can now also be used in heat 14. Transfer windows are scrapped. Instead each team gets three transfer cards which can be used after a team has completed two meetings but less then 75 % (12) of their meetings. Allsvenskan: The two Swedish riders with the lowest rolling average will ride at positions 6 and 7. Same as Elitserien for transfer windows/transfer cards. Some things are not yet decided and won't be decided until they know how many teams there will be in Allsvenskan 2020.
  9. Not sure I agree with that, especially since Aspgren almost qualified this year and we've seen Ljung, Smolinski, Zetterström, Harris and Cook qualify previous years so just because someone has a good day I wouldn't say that it automatically makes them top 15 in the world. A one off meeting also depends on which track it is held at. Different tracks suits different riders. Some tracks suits gaters and some tracks suits racers. IMO there isn't such as a thing as the best 15 in the world. Bartosz, Emil Leon and Tai are a little group of their own in the top. LIndgren, Dudek, Janowski, Vaculik, Janowski, Doyle, Greg and Laguta brothers are in a group behind the top 4. Then there is a large group of riders that are of similar capacity and sometimes some of them might be in the second group and some of them might sometimes be in "group 4". As for Greg he is nowaday IMO, like Hampel, to reliant on his gating and does well when he first from the tapes but not so well when he doesn't gate. Just for the record here is top 15 from Swedish Elitserien (Emil and Leon and Zagar didn''t ride in Elitserien 2019): http://old.svemo.se/sv/Grenar/Speedway/Elitserien2019/Snittlista/ 1. Bartosz Zmarzlik 2. Artem Laguta 3. Tai Woffinden 4. Mikkel Michelsen 5. Maciej Janowski 6. Nicki Pedersen 7. Fredrik Lindgren 8. Maksym Drabik 9. Chris Holder 10. Jason Doyle 11. Dominik Kubera 12. Gleb Chugunov 13. Niels-Kristian Iversen 14. Piotr Pawlicki 15. Jack Holder
  10. Who are the best riders in the world and how do you know that they are the 15 best in the world? How do you do when you decide who the best in the world are?
  11. Laguta, Tai, Lambert and Michelsen would be my picks.
  12. This thread is very old (first post is actually 8 years old) but content is changed from year to year instead of making a new thread every year.
  13. I will try to keep things updated in this thread. I am not sure if it is correct but according to Speedwatpodden new signings (not extensions) aren't allowed to be presented until 15 October (if I heard it correctly). So I'll probably wait a little and do a larger updater once more riders have been presented.
  14. Russia have a domestic league but I don't think Slovakia (Vaculik) and Slovenia (Zagar) do.
