i was a bit unclear, the official statistics of bonus point doesnt exist any longer however i think riders are still getting paid for bonus points.
-
2005 was the latest season bonus points was used. I know sportowefakty have statistics but it lookes like they stopped updating it after 2/3s of the season.
-
Mariusz there are no bonus points in Sweden. they removed that a few years ago.

the article claims that Holta wants 350'000SEK (~£28100) just to sign, further more he wants 9000SEK (£725)/meeting to cover his travel expenses and then he wants 5800SEK (~£477) for each point he scores. -
2009 Sgp- Who Will Win?
Ghostwalker replied to Wildcat's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
well Jason isnt that old, he's only 2 years older then Nicki but still 4 years younger then Adams, Gollob and 5 years younger then Greg so i think Jason has a few more years to contend for the title. -

Wild Cards For 09
Ghostwalker replied to beesbarmyarmy's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
uhm well too young and too inexperienced. Especially Tai and Pavlic are no way near GP material ...yet It seems that people dont understand that riding in the GPs are quit allot different then riding in the leagues. Even for some one like Holder. Sure he has done good in all the leagues this year but so did KK and Lindgren last season and the same with Jagus last season he was one of the top scorers in Sweden and Poland in 2006 but he still failed to reach top 8 in the final standings. -

i disagree. Lindgren will do better next year. its very difficult for the younger riders to manage top 8 in their first gp season. FL defenitely earns another chance. -

the difference is that those 4 Polish riders is qualified on their own merit, 2 by finishing top 8 and the other 2 by qualifying so its not BSI who decided that any of those 4 should be in. -

Today Valsarna announced that they have decided not to take the step up to Elitserien to next season. They have not succeeded in getting enough funds for participating in Elitserien. Other news is that Jonas Davidsson will leave Smederna after just 1 season to join his homeclub Piraterna. -

rumours are that Daniel nermark will receive the same amount of money as Jonas D had in Smederna this season. and i would suspect that neither Antonio and Emil is especially cheap either. Piraterna also still need to replace Sullivan, Walasek and Max with other riders. Valsarna have been offered a place in Elitserien next season and will have to take a decision today. -

yeah and I wouldnt be surprised if Tony wants something aswell for getting *his* riders to Piraterna. It has been said/rumoured that Tony has *allot* of sponsor associates in Motala and its because of them that Antonio and Emil have signed with Piraterna. Tony also have said in a news paper article that Piraterna is best for Antonio. Tony also said that *his* riders should ride for the same team. -

I now know that Smederna wanted to "get rid" of Schlein (according to media as no official news is available and the guestbook is closed) which is hard for me to understand with his low average and high capacity (even if he didnt show it this season) so IMO Dackarna made a good deal but Smederna didnt. so i take back my complaints on Dackrana. Batchelor is a good prospect but i dont expect him to score that many points. I think that Schlein will be better much next year. Also it looks like Mikael Max is heading towards Smederna. To be honest i rather see that he stayed in Småland. Possible he might be capable for Bikab but definitely not for Smederna. His average is too high for his capacity. He has been s*** all since his accident a few years ago and i doubt that he'll improve. I know Smedernas economy is really bad but letting Schlein go was a big mistake and i doubt M.max is especially cheap. About Klindt he only rode one meeting for Smederna in which he didnt really put in any effort and i suspect that he probably would have gotten more rides if he had stayed. -

well Lejonen , Dackarna and Elit Vetlanda have the big money and can seems to be able to sign anyone they like contract or not. Also you should add Västervik to those with financial difficulties. About Smederna, i know they are negotiating with 2 different companies about either of them buying the team and arena name which would bring in some £120'000 to the team.
