Valsarnas win was a bit larger then i expected, i thought that Masarna could offer a little bit better oppositions at their home track. Daniel Nermark rode his first meeting in Sweden after his injury but he only rode two heats and scored 3 points. Mikael Max and Antonio Lindbäck was in a class of their own with 14p from 5 rides and 16 p from 6 rides respectively. The first leg of the Semifinal which now is the 2nd leg was supposed to have been held last week but it rained off and will be held tomorrow. The previous meeting this season between this two teams at Solkatternas hometrack ended with a big win for Solkatterna (57-39) however Örnarna did not have Mikael Max then and Daniel Nermark was not injured (i know he rode tonight but his scores suggests that he was not entirely fit). I am unsure of what the lineups will look like as there are no official lineups available. But i think it will be a close meeting tomorrow and that Linus SUndström who is riding in England tonight might be available. Some rumours are that either of Jeleniewski or Janoskwiski might be replaced by David Ruud but i am unsure if he will fit under the average cap. ----------------- Valsarna-Hammarby 55-41 Scorecard Valsarna 55 Krzysztof Jablonski (2',3,3,2,3) 13+1 Robin Aspegren Robin Törnqvist (3,3,0,1) 7 Kauko Nieminen (3,3,1,0) 7 Daniel Davidsson (2',0,0,) 2+1 Sebastian Aldén (2,2,3,1',1) 9+1 Robin Törnqvist Anders Mellgren (1,FX,3,3,3) 10 Ted Hagansbo (3,2',0,1,1) 7+1 Marcus Broquist - Hammarby 41 Andrej Karpov (1,2,1,1,3,FX) 8 Tero Arnio (0,0,1) 1 Martin Smolinski (1,2,2,2,3,0) 10 Pawel Miesiac (0,1,2') 3+1 Pawel Hlib (3,1',3,2,R) 9+1 Freddy Godlund (0,0,0) 0 Alexander Edberg (2,1,1',2,2) - total score: Valsarna 103, Hammarby 89 Valsarna to the final. comment: 1250 spectators saw Valsarna qualify for the final and ElLitserien with a 14 point victory tonight. So a welcome back to Elitserien to Valsarna!! Valsarna were forced to do some changed compared with the original lineup since Robin Aspegren crashed yesterday in a Division 1 meeting. However Robin Törnqvist who was moved up to nr2 and Anders Mellgren was stepped in at nr 6 both did a good job in this meeting and Valsarnas victory was never jeopardized. ------------------------------------------- Friday September 11th: Solkatterna - Örnarna 44-52 Scorecard Solkatterna 44 Antonio Lindbäck (3,2,3,3,2,3) 16 Jeremia Thelaus (1,1,0,1) 3 Magnus Karlsson (2,1',0,0,1) 4+1 Michael Jepsen Jensen (1',2,1,2',1',2') 9+4 Peter Juul (1,2,0) 3 Oliver Berntzon (2,0,2,0,3) 7 Albin Näreby (1',1) 2+1 Thimm P Norberg - Örnarna 52 Norbert Kosciuch (2,3,2,2',1) 10+1 Christian Agö (0,0,1',0) 1+1 Mikael Max (0,1,3,3,2') 9+1 David Ruud (3,3,3,3,0) 12 Ronnie Jamrozy (3,2,1',1,3) 10+1 Jonas Nilsson (0,R) 0 Anton Göthberg (3,2',0,3,0,2) 10+1 - Totalscore: Örnarna 105 , Solkatterna 87 comment: Solkatterna without Nermark (injured) and Linus Sundström wan not able to win over Örnarna who took the lead with a 5-1 in the 4th heat. Solkatterna managed to get back in heat 11 and was only 2p behind but Örnarna was too strong with Mikael Max and David Ruud. This means Örnarna and Valsarna will meeting the final which is held on Thursday and Friday in next week. Valsarna chose to start away at Örnarna's track in Mariestad. ------------------------ The Final: Thursday September 17th Örnarna - Valsarna Örnarna: Norbert Kosciuch (3,2',3,2',2') 12+3 Paid Maximum! there seems to some concern regarding the weather since it started to rain in målilla around 17.00 swedish time. this is a rainfall radar picture from 20 minutess ago and it looks like the rain will have moved away if not til the start so atleast maybe to maybe 19.30-20.00 Swedish time. -

from what i have heard from poeple in Målilla, no rain yet. A quick look at the radar images : http://www.smhi.se/cmp/jsp/polopoly.jsp?d=9444&l=sv and it looks like that most of the rain might pass south of Målilla -

a pretty hilarious article about tonights GP. http://mvt.se/sport/speedway/1.534757 The reporter claims that AJ will not ride because of injury and the he will be replaced by Peter karlsson and that Sebastian Aldén is riding for Dackarna First of all AJ will ride as he have been feeling well for a week. Second even if AJ would not ride PK would not be anywhere near of replacing him (either GP first reserve or track reserve). Third Sebastian Aldén rides for Elit Vetlanda and Valsarna. -

tonights Div1 meetings: http://www.speedway.nu/2009/todayNY.asp Direct links: Eldarna-Gasarna Filbyterna - Hultsfreds Gymnasium Aborted/cancelled (i think its because of rain). Indianerna Ungdom - Stjäronorna Team Hagfors - Team Bikab This meeting is a top clash between the nr2 (TH) and nr3 placed teams (TB). I would expect a win for Team Hagors since they are using riders that usually rides in Allsvenskan. Compared to mostly younger riders in Team Bikab. Bikab will hopefully put up a very good fight and if the Hagfors boys having a bad hair day or something like that ... Bikab might have a chance of snatching the victory. For those of you who dont already know, the nr6 rider in Team Bikab, Jacek Basinski is one of Billy Hamill's former Mechanics who now lives in Eskilstuna.

at least some good news regarding teams in Sweden. Former SPeedway team Nässjö have decided to re-start their speedway team. They have a vision to be in allsvenskan within 4 years. They will refurbish their arena which will cost some 100'000 (~£8400GBP) + airfence i would believe. http://www.hogland.nu/?option=com_content&...30&Itemid=2

Swedish Elitserien Round 15
Ghostwalker replied to Anders's topic in International World of Speedway
oh it has been questioned before! Are you really that old that you already have forgotten :P he controversies two years ago when Lejonen managed to win the allsvenska playoff final against Valsarna ?' They managed to complete the first meeting with noproblems but for the second meeting they were affected by rain and had to abort the meeting before all heats had been run. Most poeple though Valsarna had won but the rules said that the results from the 1st meeting should be counted after all 16 heats and not at the point where the 2nd meeting had been aborted. anyway can anyone see anything wrong with this picture? (click for larger).: ist a screenshot of the current Elitserien table at speedwa.nu -
Swedish Elitserien Round 15
Ghostwalker replied to Anders's topic in International World of Speedway
there is some questions regarding the meeting between Lejonen and Dackarna since the first meeting was aborted after 12 heats the bonus meeting should have been counted after 12 heats in this meeting. However there are no reports about a "bonus heat" since the total score for both meetings after tonight's heat 12 is 33+39- 39+33 (72-72). Now some people claim that the second meeting's score should be counted after 16 heats which seem very unfair for the visiting team. But i wouldn't be surprised SVEMO is know for making stupid rules like this. -

Swedish Elitserien Round 15
Ghostwalker replied to Anders's topic in International World of Speedway
just watched the tv meeting and i cant see it was particularly exciting. A Few good heats in the end but otherwise nothing special. The tv meeting two weeks ago between Indianerna and Västervik is still the best meeting i have seen this season. Pirates still have a very slim chance of making the playoffs but it is very slim and if Vargarna just manages to bring the bonus point home from tonight's meeting the playoff teams should be pretty much fixed. -

Swedish Elitserien Round 15
Ghostwalker replied to Anders's topic in International World of Speedway
after some speculations about why Nicki is at nr4 the conclusion is that the nr4 rider is the only one who have 4 heats during the 12 first heats. This isn't normally that important BUT the first meeting between Dackarna and Lejonen this season had to be aborted after 12 heats so the result for the bonus point will be counted after heat 12 tomorrow. -

i dont like it but that doesnt mean it dont happened coz it does. And compared to "Real" work life the standard age of retirement is 65 y.o. and those who are over 60 rarely gets a new job because they are considred too old so i dont see how BSI/IMg couldnt do the same with those who are a year or two away from retiring from speedway. Do you really want to see a GP series that would look like this (exaggerated) : 01. Crump 02. Nicki 03. Greg 04. Gollob 05. Adams 06. Holta 07. Ulamek 08. Zorrro 09. PK 10. AJ 11. Hans A 12.
