  1. after reading a translated version of this http://www.forum.krzyzacy.net/viewtopic.ph...66f81558fd09f9d it seems that the article is faked.
  2. why? I'd rather see that Gollob pulls out while he still is a top rider and being remembered for that then that he does another year with mediocre results. But you perhaps would rather see him doing what Adams is doing in the GPs this year? Can you say that you find it thrilling or exciting to see him ride? Adams won two GPs last season but where is he now? and i think i've changed my mind about Greg. I think he should do the same. Gollob and Greg should realize that its better the quit while on top then being remembered for stubbornly clinging on to the GP series despite that they have lost it like Adams. and besides i think it would be a small boost for the Gps if Adams (although he haven't been good in the gps this year), Greg and Gollob would pull out. Because as mentioned earlier in this Thread Vojens was only the second time in many years that neither Crump, Hancock, Gollob, Nicki Pedersen, Rickardsson and Adams was in the final. With 3 of those 5 gone i think we will sligthly more unpredictable finalists.
  3. 20k is imo almost a bargain. These types of PVC covered polyester tarpaulins can sometimes be very expensive. so 20k for one that covers the whole track is very cheap.
  4. actually Canal+ who produce the broadcast have decided to go to Hallstavik instead of Västervik. They will now show the meeting between Rospiggarna and Dackarna.
  5. QUOTE (Rob B @ Aug 31 2009, 03:15 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Got back from Vojens last night had a close look at the track covers. Spoke to someone apparently they cost £20,000. They have been made to exactly to size of the contours of the track, each panel is numbered. They are made out of thick heavy duty plastic, there was thick piece of velcro holding each piece together but down the egdes there was steel rope sewn into the cover to weigh the edge down so wind doesn't lift edges up. They did great job, they carefully pulled each section from the outside onto the centre green so all the water ran onto the grass then pulled it back over the track and lifted it over the fence. Track was bone dry underneath. Personally thought they should have given it a quick water before the racing started as it was dusty. WIth your description i am pretty sure that it is PVC covered polyester the same kind that is used for tarpaulins and similar products. Its likely though that the material they use is a thicker tarpaulin material probably a 900gr/m2 version mostly used for these kinds of structures : http://www.pmh-hallen.com/2/product/PMH-La...rior-bilder.php . each piece of the track covers usually consists of smaller pieces that is welded together with a HF plastic welder.
  6. Miedzinski have done a great season so far in Sweden riding really well. point wise he is on the same level as riders like Lindgren, Hans, Walasek, Jonas D, Antonio L, Gollob and that is better the rider like Holder Tai, Nicholls, Harris, Iversen, Kasprzak, PK, Shields.. Miedzinski is also among the top 20 i the Polish league so dont judge the riders if you dont know who they are. Miedzinski is a good rider and i wouldnt be surprised if we saw him the GPs within a few years.

  10. thats right but the only 4 new Gps that Ole mention in the article was Torun, Oz, NZ and Malaysia.
  11. If i understand him correct there will be a 3rd GP in Poland at Torun and in addition to that: Australia, New Zeeland, Malaysia,
  12. well we kinda understood something like this were coming when he got his new "deputy" Tony Olsson.
  13. the results and info for the 2nd leg of the QF's have now been updated.
  14. According to his Swedish team's website Swedish junior Anton Rosén made a good first appearance for Esbjerg yesterday evening. She scored 11+3 from 6 rides. ESBJERG:,Tomasz Gollob,14+1(5heat)-Brian Lyngsö,9+1(5heat)-Zbigniew Suchecki,15(6heat)-Anton Rosén,11+3(6heat)-Michael Palm Toft,8+2(6heat) SLANGERUP: Jesper B Monberg,16(7heat)-Kenneth Kruse Hansen,2(2heat)-Morten Risager,6+1(7heat)-Henrik Vedel,2+1(6heat)-Philip Tirsdal,4(6heat) http://www.wmsk.se/speedway/Lokala_nyheter.aspx?id=1089
  15. Tai were supposed to have been riding instead of Screen but apparently felt quite ill after his ride on Monday and Screen was the only one who was able to make it from England to Sweden after Tai had phoned the team manager at about 00.30. But i agree on that Tai should have been picked because of his crash 3 days ago. It would have been better to put King in from the beginning so that Tai could have got a day or two's rest even if he said on Sunday that he felt fine.
  16. former Smederna rider, young Slovak talent Martin Vaculik will replace Karol Zabik in Elit Vetlanda for the rest of the season. Normally new riders are not allowed to be brought in outside the transfer windows but exceptions is allowed when the new rider replaces a long term injured rider. The change is also permanent for the rest of the season and the replaced rider is not allowed to be used again during the same season. http://www.elitvetlanda.nu/index.php?page=...ge=1&id=226
  17. i uppdated the info and standings for Elitserien.
  18. Vetlanda shouldn't be THIS week even without Lee. Good though to see that KimN is riding well.
  19. Hammarby's team manager and sporting director Fredrik Edberg (FE) have been sentenced to 18 months in prison, for fiddling with the taxes, by Stockholm City Distric Court. The sentence concerns that FE did withhold taxes, employer fees and that FE also have withhold to report, a withdrawal of total 700'000kr in salary from the company to himself, in the tax return from. http://folket.se/sportfolket/speedway/1.457892
  20. teams placed 1-3 picks between the teams placed 4-6. The the teams with the highest total score+ best loser advances to Semifinal. In the semi finals the team that won with the biggest victory margin will meet the best loser. if Two teams have the same margin the team with the highest placing in Elitserien's final standing will meet the best loser. Then obviously the two semi final winners will meetin the final In case of a tied score in the return meeting the team managers will nominate three pairs to ride in at most the three "sudden death heats". If the first heat ends 3-3 there will be a second heat. If that heat also ends 3-3 a third heat will take place. If the third heat also ends 3-3 there will be a 4th sudden death heat to which each team manager nominates one rider+ a rider to be used as a reserve for the nominated rider. This means the 4th SD heat will have one rider from each team.
  21. i somehow doubt that BSI will get rid of one of the permanent tracks that actually is one of the most profitable.
  22. It hasnt been released to DVD and i dont think it will be either.
  23. Because my brain was quite tired when i wrote it
  24. Elitserien Playoffs 2009 Quarterfinals: Tuesday September 8th: Indianerna - Elit Vetlanda (tv meeting) Indianerna: Magnus Zetterström (1,3,1',0,0,1) 6+1 Piotr Protasiewicz R/R Grzegorz Walasek (3,2',3,3,2,1) 14+1 Jesper B Monberg (3,1,0,2,0,3) 9 Rune Holta © (1,2',3,0,1,2) 9+1 Leon Madsen (2,2,2,0,1,3) 10 Simon Gustafsson Niklas Eriksson (0) 0 David Rohén (0) 0 Elit Vetlanda: Lee Richardson (2,2,3,2,3,0) 12 Peter Ljung (0,0,1') 1+1 Jaroslaw Hampel (1,0,2',1,2',2) 8+2 Patrick Hougaard (FX,1) 1 Jason Crump © (3,1',3,3,3,3) 16+1 Robin Aspegren (1,0,1') 2+1 Thomas H Jonasson (3,0,2,2,1,0) 8 Anders Mellgren - Results link 1 Results link 2 comment: Indianerna started the meeting very well and was at the most 10p ahead (after 9 heats) but Vetlanda managed to turn things around and was 2 points up with 2 heats to go. At this point i think many thought that Vetlanda would win it but thanks to a 4-2 in heat 15 and 3-3 in heat 16 Indianerna managed to reach a tied score at the end of the meeting. IMO it was very good performance from Indianerna when you have in mind that neither Protasiewicz or Simon G could ride. I am pretty sure that Vetlanda will win the return meeting at home next week. The question is if they will keep the scores down to become best loosers. Personally i dont think they will since they have to ride without Pepe. --------------------------- Dackarna-Lejonen 47-49 Dackarna 47 Kenneth Bjerre (3,2,0,3,2) 10 Hans Andersen (2',3,1',2,0) 8+2 Fredrik Lindgren (2,2,3,1',2) 10+1 Grzegorz Zengota (0,1',2,1') 4+2 Andreas Jonsson © (1,R,2,2',0) 5+1 Ludvig Lindgren (1,1,0) 2 Krzysztof Buczkowski (3,2,1,2) 8 Niklas Larsson - Lejonen 49 Nicki Pedersen (1,3,3,3,3) 14 Mikael Max (0,0,2',0) 2+1 Chris Holder (1,3,3,0,1) 8 David Ruud © (3,2,2,0,3) 10 Piotr Swiderski (3,0,2',1,1) 7+1 Anton Göthberg - David Watt (2,0,1',1,3,3) 10+1 Christian Agö (0,1) 1 Results link 1 Results link 2 comment: A but surprising lejone won away against Dackarna thanks to a good team effort although Mikael Max only scored 2+1. For Dackarna especially Andreas Jonsson's 5+1 is way to little for Dackarna to be able to win. Ludvig's and Zengota's scores also was too weak. Its very uncertain if Dackarna can go through to the semi finals. Lejonen is a strong home team and Dackarna have to ride much better if they are going to have ay chance of becoming best loosers. ---------------------------------------- Vargarna-Västervik 57-39 Vargarna 57 Adrian Miedzinski (3,1,R,3,1) 8 Adam Shields (2,3,M,1) 6+2 Scott Nicholls (1,F,1,2) 4 Adam Skornicki (3,1,3,3,2') 12+1 Krzysztof Kasprzak (2,3,1,2',3) 11+1 Kim Nilsson (1,0,0,3) 4 Tai Woffinden (3,2',2,2',3) 12+2 Jonas Andersson - Västervik 39 Bjarne Pedersen (1,3,2',1',3,0) 10+2 Tomasz Gapinski (0,3,2,2,1,1) 9 Chris Harris (2,2',3,0,0,0) 7+1 Niels-Kristian Iversen (0,0,3,2,0,2) 7 Tomasz Gollob R/R(?) - Anton Rosén (0,1,0) 1 Kevin Doolan (2,1,1,0,1) 5 Pontus Aspgren - Results link 1 Results link 2 comment: As expected Vargarn won their home meeting in the quarterfinal. Although i think that the victory margin was larger then expected. Vargarna started very well and pulled away initially. Västervik managed to close the gap but after the interval something happened with Västervik and Vargarna manged to pull away easily to a 18point victory. Even if vargarna is a very strong home team Västervik should not loose with 18p. They did miss Gollob and Laguta but riders liek Harris and Iversen should do better then 7 points each. Västervik will have a tough task next week if they want to be in the semi finals. Both Gollob and Gregory Laguta is expected to be back in Västerviks team for next weeks home meeting. --------------------------------------- Tuesday September 15th: Lejonen-Dackarna Lejonen 55 Nicki Pedersen (1',2,3,3,3) 12+1Mikael Max (2,2',0,1) 5+1David Ruud (3,3,0,0,0) 6Chris Holder (1,1,3,2',2') 9+2Piotr Swiderski (1',1,3,0,1) 6+1David Watt (3,2,3,3,2',3) 16+1Christian Agö -Anton Göthberg (0,1) 1 Dackarna 41 Kenneth Bjerre (3,0,0,3,0) 6Grzegorz Zengota (F,2,2,R,1) 5Fredrik Lindgren (2,2,1',R,1',3) 8+2Hans Andersen (0,1,2',2') 5+2Andreas Jonsson (3,3,2,1,2,1) 12Ludvig Lindgren (1',2) 3+1Krzysztof Buczkowski (2,0,0,0) 2Niklas Larsson - total score Lejonen 104 - Dackarna 88 Lejonen through to the semifinal http://www.speedway.nu/2009/reportNY.asp?ElitF.EA ---------------------------------------------------------- Vetlanda-Indianerna Vetlanda 52 Lee Richardson (0,3,1,0,2) 6+1Martin Vaculik (3,2,0,3,0) 8Jaroslaw Hampel (3,2',1',2',3) 11+3Patrick Hougaard (0,3,2,1) 6Peter Ljung (0,1',0) 1+1Thomas H Jonasson (3,2,2,3,2,3) 15Sebastian Aldén (2',1',0,2') 5+3Robin Aspegren - Indianerna 44 Grzegorz Walasek (2,0,0,1) 3Magnus Zetterström (1,1,2,0) 4+2Piotr Protasiewicz (2,1',2',3,3,1') 12+3Jesper B Monberg (1',3,2,0,0,1) 7+1Rune Holta (3,3,3,3,1,2) 15Simon Gustafsson (R,0,0) 0Leon Madsen (1,1,1) 3Freddy Godlund - total score: Elit Vetlanda 100, Indianerna 92 both Elit Vetlanda and Indianerna are through to the Semifinals. Comment: Vetlanda who chose to use Peter Ljung instead of injurews Jason Crump managed to win with 8p despite no Crump. Vargarna to semifinal. Västervik misses the the best looser place in the the semis with 2 points. comment: Västervik had the chance for Semifinal but blew it. gapinski wasnt start ready when replacing Bjarne and is excluded for 2min violation. In Heat 16 Västervik had 5-1 and then 4-2 but because (i assume) of poor team riding they loose the heat and their semi final place with two points. -------------------------------------- Semifinals: Tuesday September 22nd: Vargarna - Elit Vetlanda Indianerna - Lejonen ----------------------------------------- Wednesday September 23rd: Elit Vetlanda - Vargarna Lejonen - Indianerna ----------------------------------------- Dates for Elitserien playoff 2009: Tuesday September 8th QF, first meeting Tuesday September 15th QF, return meeting.
