Match report Team Bikab vs. Gnistorna Swedish Division 1. Scores: Team Bikab 57 Team manager: Robin Johansson Robert Henderson C (1 2’ 1 1) 5+1 Henrik Karlsson (0 3 3 1’ 2’) 9+2 Daniel Henderson (3 2 3 2 FX) 10 Göran Flood (1 FN N N) 1 Robin Bergqvist (3 2 3 3 2) 13 Rasmus Eklöf (0 1 1’ 0 1 2’) 5+2 Jimmy Jansson (3 2’ 0 3 3 3) 14+1 Gnistorna 38 Team manager: Jarek Gliniecki Ricky Kling C (3 3 2 3 3 3) 17 Anton Göthberg (2’ FX 1 N) 3+1 Robert Pettersson (0 1 R 0) 1 Marcus Åström (2 1 0 TT 1) 4 Christian Agö (2 1’ 2 2 1) 8 Robin Zymek (1’ 0 0 2 0) 3+1 Krzysztof Szczawinski (2 FX N N) 2 Score links: http://www.ikarossmederna.nu/?page=news&newsid=1368 http://www.speedway.nu/2009/reportNY.asp?Div1.IE a pretty good meeting. With several good overtakings. I especially liked Henrik Karlsson "Gollob style" overtaking when he came from behind and swept around the field on the outside along the fence. Daniel Henderson also rode very well and managed to beat Ricky Kling once and wasnt far behind the other times they met except heat 16 where Daniel fell at the end of the second lap. Robin Bergqvist showed why he is one of the best scorers in this years Division 1. Henrik Karlsson a also rode pretty well for Team Bikab while Gnistornas Ricky Kling was outstanding all night. Agö did good too but wasnt as "hot" as Kling or Daniel Henderson or Bergqvist. Jimmy Jansson is worth mentioning after a very good performance from his reserve Position one very good good passing (dont remember the heat) where he went a bot wide fooling the opponent to go wide as well while Jimmy passed him on the inside. this was just one of several good efforts tonight from "good ol' Jimmy boy" especially for a rider who quit speedway earlier this season. But when Bikab suffered from a couple of injuries Jimmy was asked to fill in for them and since things went weel he continued. Man of the match: Jimmy Jansson 14+1 (6 rides) and Ricky Kling 17 (6 rides) Most Exciting rider: Daniel Henderson i recorded a (only two laps) with my Digital Compact Camera so the picture quality is NOT particulary good. Heat 16 was stopped when Henderson fell and it was not restarted. Unfortunately there were a very horrifying crash in heat n6. Ricky Kling took the start easily and took the outside line in the first bend his team mate Anton Göthberg was close behind and selected a tighter line through the first bend. At the exit of the first bend Anton gets a "back flip" and he and the bike crashes into the fence at the beginning of the back straight, His bike bounces back out onto the mid track and Team Bikab's Göran flood who was a bit behind on the outside and he had no chance of avoiding Göthbergs bike and hits it with almost full force resulting in a severe crash for Flood as well. Both rider lied quite long on the track before they were taken of the track with ambulances. Luckily both rider escaped with any broken bones or other serious injuries even if Göran Flood was brought in to the hospital "just in case". Göthberg tried to continue the meeting and rode one heat after the crash but apparently he did not feel good enough and did not ride anymore tonight. I have to say both rider should consider themselves lucky that they escaped without more serious injuries because it looked very nasty. Gnistorna's nr 7 Krzysztof Szczawinski fell in heat 4 and id not ride anymore in the meeting but i dont know what was wrong with him and he ppeared to be ok after the crash since he walked back to the pits on his own but reports later said that he was tended by medics. ----------- for those of you who want to find out more (or order a subscription) about the new Swedish Speedway Magazine her is the link to its website: http://www.speedwayracing.se/index.html

I think that Lejonen vs. Vargarna have the possibility to be as equally good as Västervik-Vargarna, Regarding Västervik, Laguta will be back as well which means Gapinski will be riding as a reserve.
-
well i cant see why not? I think it can be a quite tight meeting just as the other two meetings. What meeting do you want to see? Västervik Vargarna? Elit Vetlanda Indianerna?
-
it works like this: Best winner meets best looser in Semi final 1 in both cases its the total score that counts regardless of wins or losses. the two other teams will meet in the other semi final.

Swedish Radio will broadcast from all 3 arenas at this link: http://www.sr.se/webbradio/include/CreateP...=3&IsBlock= Niklas Eriksson will replace Simon Gustafsson.
-
Tomasz Gollob is not fit enough to be able to ride tomorrow. I Assume that Västervik will use R/R for him.
-
Simon Gustafsson will not ride tomorrow because of the crash yesterday. Simon says that he is suffering from a concussion and that he will play safe by not riding. I dont know at the moment who his replacement will be.

British Riders
Ghostwalker replied to Phil The Ace's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Kennett? seriously? Regarding Tai, he is a very good talent but i think he needs a few more years of league racing experience before he could do himself justice in a full GP season. The only Brit at the moment who are GP material is Lee Richardson who is riding very well in all the major leagues and i hope thet he will get a WC for next season. -
lineups and some brief info about the QF's have been added to the Elitserien Playoff post above.

2 Gp`s In A Weekend In Poland
Ghostwalker replied to racers and royals's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
i dont think so since BSI/IMG want to extend the number of GPs and the Polish GPs are very successful money wise. Oo i think that BSI want a 3rd profitable GP in Poland. -
they hope that he will be available next thursday which will be his next meeting in Sweden since his Elite team did not make it to playoffs.
-
no he would not have ridden tonight.

Hammarby Valsarna is currently going on (the question is for how long since the rain is closing in). Solkatterna-Örnarna postponed to Friday next week because of rain.
-
there is currently some weather problems. A weather system with rain is moving over the country. this is a radar image from 17.00 (20 minutes ago): so in a best case scenario it might just cause some delays and in a worst case scenario it might cause a postponement of the meetings.

f-s-p, i heard you U21 coach, Miakel Teurnberg probably will leave you to join Rospiggarna as their new Team Manager who will step in as a new coach for Finland U21 then?

Grand Prix Challenge.
Ghostwalker replied to a4poster's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
well i still dont want to see Gollob or Greg or Adams next year. I just dont find theme xciting to watch anymore. About Adams. first he have hardly ridden in Sweden this season (only 5 meetings) and i understand that he want to focus on his British team but if he want to focus on his British team then he shouldnt be in the GP series at all if he's not interested/capable in giving a 100%. -
Grand Prix Challenge.
Ghostwalker replied to a4poster's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
G& G are top riders THIS year but Adams was a top rider LAST YEAR but this year he is not, he have been quite mediocre in the GPS and i think the same might happen to Gollob and Greg next season. Or maybe you thinks its exciting to watch Adams trail at the back in one heat after another? Neither Gollob or Greg will be better next year on the contrary they will probably be less good next season. would that be especially exciting? i think not. Better to quit while on top then to stubbornly continue until they lost it completely. In your opinion how long should they continue 1-2-3 more years? no thanks they have had their time in the fun and its time to let it go. the finals of this year: Vojens. Aj, Emil, Bjerre, Holta Målilla: Gollob, Crump, Andersen, Berre Latvia: Greg, Bjerre, Crump, Gollob Cardiff: Grerg, Hans, Lindgren, Crump Copenhagen; Greg, Gollob, Iversen, Crump Gthbrg: Crump, Emil, Lindbäck, Nicki Leszno: Gollob, Greg, Crump, Jonsson Prague: Emil, Adams, Crump, Lindgren. So every final but threehave had either Gollob och Greg and 3 finals have had both. Not particulary exciting and quite predictable. No matter what you say Greg, Adams, and Gollob are history for me. -
some playoffs news, Piotr Protasiewicz had a fall yesterday and this resulted in a concussion and a crack in a finger. He is not likely to ride in the first quarterfinal next week. tv channel Canal+ intends to go to Vetlanda next week despite that Vetlanda will be in Kumla riding against Indianerna.
