  1. he did qualify in the semis although it was thanks to a somewhat strange incident where Zorro, in his final heat, managed to pass Jonas D in the last bend becasue Jonas D slowed down. Intentionally or not well who knows but it also meant that It was Zorro who took the last place in that semi. If Jonas D had beaten Zorro in that heat it would have been ANtonio who had gone through. It is correct though that Zorro was given a free place in the semi.
  2. Andreas Jonsson wants to move home to Rospiggarna and Rospiggarna wants him. The problem is that Rospiggarna only have managed to find enough funding to be able to offer him a one season contract while AJ wants a contract for several years. AJ says that its looks difficult at the moment but that he and Rospiggarna are continuing to work hard to find a solution. http://www.norrteljetidning.se//sport/artiklar/id/11628
  3. the question should rather be asked how many of those who have qualified for the GP via the GP Challenge have managed to finish within top 8 vs. how many of the WCs that have managed top 8? the three latest seasons (2007 first season with riders from GPC): 2007: Riders entered via GPC: Jagus, Holta, Andersen (Jagus missed out on top 8 The other two were in) Riders entered via WC: Nicholls, Lindbäck, Bjarne, Harris (Nicholls the only in top 8) 2008: Riders entered via GPC: Iversen, L.Dryml, B.Pedersen (none of them were top) Riders entered via WC: Harris, Jonsson, Lindgren, Kasprzak (Jonsson the only in top 8) 2009: Riders entered via GPC: Bjerre, Walasek, Ulamek (Bjerre the only in top 8) Riders entered via WC: Nicholls, Harris, Lindgren, Emil S (Emil S the only in top 8) that makes: 3 out of 9 GPC riders managed top 8 3 out of 12 WC riders managed top 8
  4. Peter Karlsson have reached an agreement with Dackarna have signed for them. http://www.dackarna.nu/default.asp?c=main
  5. Adrian Miedzinski have signed a two year deal with Vargarna: http://www.folkbladet.se/nyheter/artikel.a...ticleid=5011265
  6. Chris Holder signed with Lejonen for two more years. They have been agreed for a while but Holder didnt sign until now.
  7. Nicki was on the inside line when Gollob smashed into him then Nicki replied by taking Gollob wide. If Gollob had kept his line without going in towards Nicki the incident would not have happened there fore Gollob is the cause of the stoppage as he was the one who initiated the situation in the first place.
  8. I'm not that sure that Lindgren will get one, i think Lindbäck might be a contender for "that" WC. The remaining two well Laguta and Richardson maybe?
  9. he did not. It was Gollob who smashed into Nicki on Both occasions. 1st start Gollob went in towards Nicki, smahes into Nicki and then tried to lean all over him but failed and Nicki took him wide. 2nd Start Gollob had the 2nd place but went too wide and a gap occurred on the inside Nicki moved into and when Tomek tried to close the door Nicki was already to far infront of Gollob who ran into Nicki backwheel.
  10. On the contrary it is highly deliberate and i cant see how you can question my picks or is your opinion worth more the anyone else's?
  11. havent decided yet but if i go to any gp at all it will most likely be Gotheburg. But i dont know if i am that thrilled by it. The city is nice but the track is a piece of sh*t and i wont go just because of the city since i visited Gothenburg at the end of June the past summer.
  12. so i heard there has been really poor weather in Poland with lots of rain and snow will this affect the gp?
  13. Indianerna is the third team that intends to incorporate. It is new tax rules which is the need for incorpotaion of some teams According to Indianerna they will not sign any riders before how much they will have to pay for them. Valsarna have signed Krzysztof Jablonski. Jablosnki came to Valsarna during a transfer window the past season and has been their best rider. Regarding THJs suspension: In The League Rules chapter 1 part 4 (1.4) it says that a rider have to apply for a starting permit from SVEMO if he/she wants to race in a foreign league. The requirements to obtain such a permit is that the riders participating in a foreign league must not interfere/intrude on that riders obligations to ride in the Swedish series system, in championships and other official international meetings where the rider represents his country and svemo. THJ had a QP qualification meeting to ride in at the Saturday but instead of going there he decided to goto Poland to race in their league and by doing that he violated that particular rule since the foreign league meeting intruded on his participation in the GP Qualifiers. So Svemo only followed their rules when they penalized THJ. Although imo it could have been enough with 1-2 weeks suspension.
  14. could you motivate your pick? I mean is it because if his good performance in all three leagues or is it because his good score at this years GP at Cardiff?
  15. some more league related news. All these news is taken from Svemo's latest Protocol. There will not be any transfer windows during next season. There will still be one just prior to the seaons and the rules that allows teams to replace longterm injured riders. there will be a new playoff system and the "best looser" will not be a part of it. there might possible be a new heat schedule. Elitserien might also look a bit different next season. Perhaps Anders can tell us more as he is involved in it (?). "A-teams" in Div1 will be allowed to have one nordic rider that have a license from a Nordic country that does not have a series system. Thomas H Jonasson is suspended from ALL racing between 2010-04-26 kl. 14.00 to 2010-05-24 kl. 14.00. i do not know why but i think it has to do with THJ skipping a QP Qualification QF and raced in a Polish league meeting. a letter will be sent out to all team where the Club Chairmens/womans will have to sign a letter to assure that their club do not have any rider debts. Elitserien will consist of a maximum of 9 teams despite that SVEMO earlier said that they wanted 10 teams. This could mean that one team will drop out.
  16. some news. Greg H might leave Rospiggarna after 15 seasons. In a news article Greg confirms that Dackarna are interested by him and that he have replied to an offer by them. He also says that he is curious on Dackarna's reply. a comment on that is that it would imply that AJ is intending to move somewhere else and the question is where? Piraterna? Indianerna? Rospiggarna? Some other sources claims that Greg will ride for Piraterna next season and that Piraterna already have signed all their riders. The squad is supposed to be presented at the icespeedway event. Piraterna have also said that they intends to lower their rider salaries with 20-25% and that it possible would mean that riders like AJ are to expensive.
  17. 1. i wouldnt mind seeing a few GPs in Asia/Australia in addition to those we have in europe but not instead of the same amount of GPs in Europe 2. I wouldnt mind having as much as 15 GPs. on the contrary more Gp would mean more media attention and it would mean that a rider cannot secure the title after only 4-5 GPs. 3. Who are going to pay for the travelling and transport costs for getting the riders and their teams and equipment half around the world?
  18. Crump Nicki Emil Hampel Miedzinski Andreas J Hans A Bjerre Fredrik Lindgren Antonio Lindbäck Lee Richardson Grigory Laguta Chris Holder Zagar Iversen
  19. you mean in the playoffs? I dont know if there even is a third/fourth place in the playoffs? If there is i would guess that the team that lost with the smallest margin would be third and the other 4th. I will look into it during the weekend.
  20. Örnarna's promotion to Elitserien have been declined. http://www.sr.se/cgi-bin/kalmar/sport/inde...artikel=3153766 http://www.sr.se/cgi-bin/skaraborg/nyheter...Artikel=3153980 i wonder if it has anything to do with that SVEMO thinks it will be few teams in Allsvenskan next season if Örnarna would be promoted to Elitserien?
  21. Well Perhaps the Pommeranian GP? or The Baltic GP? (although Poland normally dont count as a part of the Baltic a reference can be used the Poland as a country By the Baltic Sea) In MotoGP Spain have three GPs; Spanish Gp, Valencia GP and Catalan GP. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Torun http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kuyavian-Pomeranian_Voivodeship http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pomerania
  22. Örnarna says that they want to ride in Elitserien next season as they qualified by merit by reaching the final in the Allsvenskan playoffs. SVEMO have earlier made a statement where they said that the want to have 10 teams in Elitserien next season. However Örnarna now claims that they haven't heard anything from SVEMO about the promotion. Örnarna also says that they obviously need to know whether or not they can race in Elitserien next season. SVEMO says in a reply that they will contact Örnarna as soon as possible to discuss if they will be allowed to race in Elitserien and that it is dependable onÖrnarna's finances. Svemo also claims that the delay is because of "a missunderstanding". Örnarna themselves says that they have a stable financial situation and that they have "done their years in allsvenskan". http://www.corren.se/sport/motorsport/?articleId=5000054
  23. here is Kennett's scores in Sweden this year: home meetings at Kråkvilan a British style track: http://www.speedway.nu/2009/ReportNY.asp?elit.HA http://www.speedway.nu/2009/ReportNY.asp?elit.HC Away meetings: http://www.speedway.nu/2009/ReportNY.asp?elit.FH http://www.speedway.nu/2009/ReportNY.asp?elit.GH and if i am not totally wrong both away tracks is quite short aswell? So could anyone really claim that Kennett is GP material?
