  1. yep that is correct, the track is called Orion Parken (The Orion park and Orion meaning the star Orion) the team is called Stjärnorna (the stars). The track is situated in Hallstavik, about 110km north of Stockholm, in the region called Roslagen. The track is the sortest track in Sweden with its 289m.
  2. Although they lost, Västervik should be really happy about the spectators figures, 3662 people attended the meeting which is very good if you have in mind that the meeting was televised. Vargarna took a comfortable win over Rospiggarna who were missing Jagus. I think the reason was that he is sick. Vargarnas 2+1 points means that they now are within the top 6 who qualifies for playoff. Next weeks meetings: Vargarna - Västervik (televised) Elit Vetlanda - Valsarna Lejonen - Piraterna Rospiggarna - Dackarna
  3. Västervik have put up a good fight but in the end, with only6 riders and some bad luck, its very hard to beat a team like Vetlanda.
  4. no stream but all scores is, as usual, available at http://www.speedway.nu scoresheet: http://www.speedway....tNY.asp?Elit.AC heat by heat: http://www.speedway.nu/2010/visaNY.asp?Elit.AC
  5. very good team riding for 3 laps until they messed up.
  6. Robin Messing is confirmed not to ride any more tonight. If i understand the rules correctly, no other rider will be allowed to take his place since U21 riders only is allowed to be replaced once/meeting.
  7. Both Dackarna-Indianerna and Piraterna-Valsarna are at least 30 minutes delayed because of heavy rain in combination with thunderstorms. In the meeting between Västervik and Elit Vetlanda, there was an accident in heat two in which Robin Messing (Västervik) suspects to have broken his nose.
  8. actually i think King is a better rider then Stead even if King's performance in Sweden this year isn't on level with his capacity.
  9. i think you forgot Dennis Andersson who have been riding very well this season. Anyway Ladyluck, there is plenty of Swedish riders that have gotten plenty of rides/season for many years without improving particularly. Then there isn't really that many Swedish riders from the beginning so if we would have a rule for 3-4 Swedish riders/team it would be very hard for all teams to find enough Swedish riders which would mean that the Swedish riders would actually demand a higher pay meaning that more teams would suffer economically. also i have an addition to Iris' post and that is that using a quota to get riders into the highest league wont make them better riders compared to those who have gone the long way from 50/80cc via div1 & Allsvenskan to Elitserien. And what about Poland? They seems to have allot of young talents but still very few of them seems to make it to the top?
  10. rumours are that the old silencers will be allowed.
  11. i think it is like this with each riders points/heat. Greg 3,0,1,2,1 = 07 Nicki 0,1,3,2,1 = 07 Bjerre 0, 1, 1, 2, 3 = 07 they all have the same number of points (3,2,1,1,0) so its down to their results against each other: Bjerre beat Hancock 3-1 heat 18 Nicki also beat Greg 1-0 heat 7 Nicki beat Bjerre 3-1 heat 11 Nicki won over both Bjerre and Greg and therefore he qualified for the semis.
  12. Przemyslaw Pawlicki, have received a warning from his swedish team for his no-show in Rospiggarnas home meeting against vargarna earlier this week. Pawlicki announced that he wouldnt show about 2 hours prior to the start of the meeting. Rospiggarna says that they had the possibility to fine him. However since they realize that it is his Polish team Gorzow that is the cause and because they want to keep PP for more seasons, they will only give him a warning. http://norrteljetidning.se/sport/speedway/1.891171-pawlicki-varnas
  13. two allsvenskan meetings are currently ongoing: Masarna - Örnarna http://www.speedway.nu/2010/reportNY.asp?Alls.CE Solkatterna- Griparna http://www.speedway.nu/2010/reportNY.asp?Alls.DA
  14. nice. here is the correct location of the Eskilstuna track. link.
  15. well manchesterpaul i disagree regarding Östersund, a track can be active even if it dosnt have meetings. The Österund track is used about 6 hours/week (during the summer) which is more then tracks like Gubbängen where Hammarby usually have their home meetings. The practising in Östersund is also organized by a team, Jämtarna. If a track is used 6 hours/week by regular speedway bikes i think it should count as active, no matter the type of activity. Also have in mind that Östersund is quite far north so the season is much shorter then further south which is why they don't have meetings. a few pics from recent activity: http://www.jamtarna.se/coppermine/thumbnails.php?album=1
  16. its about 25 celsius at the moment. This is also why the meeting takes such a long time, they have to water the track often and allot.
  17. if you didnt know already rull results available here: http://www.speedway....tNY.asp?Div1.FC the other two meetings: Filbyterna - Nässjö SK http://www.speedway....tNY.asp?Div1.FC Gnistorna-Stjärnorna http://www.speedway....tNY.asp?Div1.DI btw anyone else having problems with the stream? its more like a slideshow then a video
  18. don't forget, Ikaros Smederna vs. Gasarna live streamed. Check http://www.ikarossmederna.nu closer to the meeting for link to stream.
  19. according to this article http://avestatidning.com/nyheter/speedway/1.886726-sajfutdinov-borta-en-manad-till Emil is still atleast a month away from a comeback to speedway.
  20. well might or might, i think its pretty certain that they will stream especially since the weather is expected to be warm and sunny.
  21. i think Jämtarna in Östersund are planning to have some "beginners" and practice session during the summer since Svemo gave them a "practice track" status. Also David you could (sson) add Visby since they still use the old track or practice i think?. They have also been granted a permission by the city environmental office for their new track so they have taken a huge step forward to the building of their new track. The track in Veddesta/Järfälla , mentioned by Anders, is used by Gamarna (Västra MK) link to aerial photo (eniro maps) link to satellite image (google maps)
  22. Thta is "old" news. Its been obvious for weeks now that Valsarna have problems since the supporters stays at home rather then going to the meetings. Also i've read that Gollob is "Injured" and won't ride for Västervik tomorrow. VV will use RR for him. http://www.vt.se/nyh...ticleid=5440325
  23. the Division 1 meeting between Eldarna and Ikaros Smederna had to be aborted after 9 heats because the track was considered unsafe since it was to dry, causing too much dust which made the visibility almost none. Smedernas Rasmus Eklöf was taken to hospital after a crash in which his footpeg got stuck in the kickboard and Rasmus fell to the ground. First prognosis says broken collarbone. Ikaros Smederna led with 39-13 when the meeting was aborted. source scoresheet In Todays other Division 1 meeting, Team Värmland won over Indianerna Junior with 58-38. scoresheet
