yep i'll give it a look i think. probably gnistorna vs masarna.
-
yeah i agree, really a pity since Kumla can offer really good racing.
-
great riding by indianerna in heat 13
-
i really miss the 16 heat schedule since it opens for more tactics. like if you got a good reserve do you use him and his 6 heats in heat 1-14 or do you save one ride for heat 15.
-
he probably will but it will also mean that he will be moved up for the next meeting.

updated the first post with rules for R/R. Örebro speedway will arrange practice sessions for those are either veterans or those who own a bike but don't want to do league racing. For those who wants to have a go but doesn't own a bike, Örebro will let riders rent bikes for each session.

averages can be found here; http://www.svemo.se/.../Aktuellasnitt/ but in Sweden any rider can be used for R/R no matter their average. the entire ruke can be found here: http://svemo.mediapaper.nu/rundbana/ enter page 32 and press enter. see rule 5.10.4 Replacement for missing rider in his/hers scheduled heats are allowed according to the conditions below, also see rule 5.21.13 as well as the amendment rules. R/R can be used for one rider/meeting. The replaced rider have to belong to the best riders in the team (= the two riders with highest rolling averages) and each series amendment rules decides before each season the amount of riders that can be replaced. regarding rule 5.21.13 its quite interesting that they refer to a rule which does not exist in the rule book. the last of the 5.21.* rules are 5.21.12 and the next rule after that is 6.1 good work Svemo! R/R may be used for one the two best riders in the team. The two best riders means the two riders in the lineup that on the day of registration of the lineup have reached the highest rolling average according to the official list of averages. ............ Weather wise we've had a little rain but not more then just barely enough to make the tracks more then a bit moisty, Unfortunately for Alan, he won't see his beloved sunset.

Swedish Grand Prix
Ghostwalker replied to ladyluck's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
since you refuse to accept that you are wrong i have news articles for you: http://www.svd.se/ny...den_1440389.svd especially pay attention to this quote: July is the rainiest month of the year. It has to do with the type of weather we have at that time of the year, with lots of showers and thunderstorms, says Therese Fougman, meteorologist at SMHI (SMHI= Swedish Meteorological and Hydrological Institute to learn ore about hem see: http://www.smhi.se/en/about-smhi) here is another article taken direct from SMHI's website: http://www.smhi.se/k...nth=5&year=2011 Junue is the brighest of the three summer months and normally is also a bit dryer and less cloudy. July is usually the warmest month but also the rainiest month, August on the other hand is the driest and now the watertemperature is normnally as its warmest, alough the days are getting shorter. some statistics for Gothenburg (see the link for statistics for other cities): 1= month, 2= average day temp, 3= average of nights lowest temp, 4= average rain 5= sunhours. June 20 11,3 59 mm 266 July 21,1 13,1 68 mm 243 August 20,6 12,3 75 mm 220 So consider yourself proven wrong. -
a few Interesting meetings this week. I think Dackarnas problem is that they try to squeeze to many heat leaders as they can into the team but its not a good way to build your team. It wil make the team to top heavy and also it can cause bad spirits in the team. So i hope (and think) that Västervik might win another meeting at home. However Tomasz Chrzanowski is an ex Västervik rider and i think he might do quite well. I the end i say 56-44 i favor of Västervik. Also its a bit surprising that Dackarna won't even try Daniel K, especially at home since the track should suite his style and he did a very good first meeting on that track even if its 3 years ago. Valsarna vs. Piraterna Another good meeting but also another meeting with R/R for an long time injured rider. Anyway Valsarna have surprised many with their start of the season and i think that they wll be able to take their third straight win. And i hope they do to. SO go Valsarna and go Jerker (an ex-smederna team manager). Vargarna vs. Hammarby, I think Vargarna will show that they are difficult to beat on home soil. Hammarby without Gollob should not cause problems for Vargarna. But you'll never know. Indianerna vs. Lejonen. Its time for Lejonen to show that they want to make it to the playoffs since they cant use their old tactic with taking it easy in the series and then step up for the playoffs. However i don't think that Lejonen will be able to defeat Indianerna since they are showing a very good form this year. For Lejonen Madsen in is not a that big surprise since he is an ex Indianerna rider. Anyway despite that Bjerre makes his first ride of the season Indianerna is a bit too strong for Lejonen. Again i think its cheating (even if its not against the rules atm) that Dackarna still can use R/R for Pavlic and that Piraterna can use R/R for Dobrucki which they have done in every meeting since RD got injured. So for next season Svemo needs to change the rules so that R/R only can be used for a maximum of two meetings and that the injured rider needs to have ridden at least 4 meetings and 16 heats and R/R should be decided by season starting average and not rolling average, Finally good work Anders! It was nice to be "Off the hook" this week.

Copenhagon 2011

i disagree, gardell did a good job and harris only have himself too blame for falling. riders should be able to stay upright even if they get a little push. -

any luck yet? -
Alan i'll do my best to answer your question: Teams own themselves and now days most teams usually have the actual elit team incorporated and those inc's stocks are by law or by a rule decided by RF forced to be owned to atleast 51% of the "parent clu"b. read this to understand more about how sports in Sweden are organized. A few team owns their arenas (like Dackarna) but most teams rent it. Stadiums are as far as i know community/city owned. yes they do. or well I guess that in some cases the programs are either free or the price is just for covering the cost of making them. hmm lets see... yes many cases and at least 2 or 3 team bankruptcies in the past 3-5 years, Lejonen are or was owing Leigh Adams about 50'000 GB. yes it has been suggested by Svemo. i think around 130-150 SEK which is about £12-15 GBP i don't know exactly why, but i think most teams have a certain amount of die-hard fans which wouldn't want to miss a meeting no matter what. oh easy because of the beautiful pine trees (and occasional birches) as well as the lovely sunsets and the picnic tables. BTW you forgot Thursdays, *edit @ racers, quite amusing that we answered almost exactly on nr 8.

Well what to say? Vetlanda lost again and are firmly anchored at the bottom of the table after a narrow defeat by Indianerna, Obvioulsy Indianerna rode well but what the heck is wrong with Crump? Only 4p tonoght, anyone know if he have injury probnlems or etc? PK only managed 2p from three rides so perhaps replace him with Vaculik in the next meeting? Valsarna won another away meeting after a crushing victory away against Lejonen and one could also speculate about the reason for the sudden dip in performance from Lejonen. They hardly lost a meeting at home since they returned to Elitserien. Then suddenly they loose to Valsarna? Is it reality that is starting to catch up on them? Atleast Indianerna is performing according to their signings, they took ther 5th win out of 6 possible so its looking good for them.
