  1. Well Iris is Vojens really that good? The racing is awful, the weather is awful... Vojens is a small town in the southern end of the west coast of Denmark. I think Vojens is the kind of place where one wouldn't stay any minute longer then needed while cities like Stockholm and Copenhagen while more expensive, have allot more to offer. Especially Stockholm have allot to offer no matter if you like, partying, museums, architecture or lovely nature. This is why I never have been at Måilla, racing is good but it's too isolated with hardly anything of interest around. Vojens is even worse with the very mediocre track and racing.
  2. I think it more has to do with that it in general are quite tough times at the moment, a quite high unemployment and etc. I would liked to have gone but I couldn't afford both Copenhagen and Stockholm so I chosen Stockholm over Copenhagen and perhaps many other Swedes have done the same. In particular those who live in the same part of Sweden as I do.
  3. No I am pretty sure that he won't. I think the team will be: F. Lindgren, Ljung, J. Davidsson and PK with Dennis Andersson as reserve.
  4. actually it is the same dirt at all the temporary tracks isn't it? At least I've read claims/statements that it is so.
  5. Well according to Ole, there is nothing wrong with Vojen's track. All that it needs is some more grand stands. Then there is the weather factor, During how many of Vojen's GP's, SWC's. GP qualifying the past 10 years or so, have it been raining?
  6. Elitserien 2013, Round 9, Tuesday July 2nd live scores: http://www.svemo.se/speedway Elit Vetlanda– Ikaros Smederna Elit Vetlanda Martin Vaculik Bartosz Zmarzlik Jaroslaw Hampel Ricky Kling Janusz Kolodziej David Ruud Jacob Thorssell Ikaros Smederna Magnus Zetterström Andreas Jonsson R/R Linus Eklöf Peter Karlsson Krzysztof Buczkowski Linus Eklöf Kenni Larsen R/R Oliver Berntzon Szymon Wozniak Smederna have a very very tough job, with their three best riders unavailable. Laguta have a Russian league meeting in Vladivostok on Thursday, Andreas Jonsson and Kenni Larsen are both out because of injury. Unfortunately the team was registered befor eKenni's crash otherwise the team management could have made a slightly different pick. For Vetlanda, THJ is also out because of injury. 7. Swedish team will Ljung, Davidsson at least, a decision about Lindgren will be taken early this week. Sundström (replaced by Zetterström) Jonsson and Nermark are certain non participants
  8. so? it does not prevent you from posting your info in that thread.
  9. Injury update: Freddie Lindgren suffered a torn off muscle, will be out for two weeks or so. Andreas Jonsson have a confirmed broken shoulder and a broken rib. Out for one month. Kenni Larsen a likely broken arm, Smederna might try and find a replacement, already for Tuesdays meeting.
  10. initial reports says at least 1 month. Freddie Lindgren might back from his muscle damage in two weeks. So a small chance for Freddie to ride at SWC.
  11. There is a thread already: http://www.speedway-forum.co.uk/forums/index.php?showtopic=73053
  12. Yeah, Vladivostok have a meeting in Vladivostok on Thursday. Laguta will also miss the away meeting against Indianerna in August due to the same reason.
  13. Nice ride by Laguta, just a pity that he isn't available for Smederna on Tuesday.
  14. pawel, do you know what meeting that is held in Poland tomorrow? From what I understand Grigorij Laguta will be riding in it, preventing him from riding in Sweden on Tuesday? *edit nevermind, i found it. Why do they have a meeting on a Monday?
  15. It seems that Freddie have not broken his arm, it is torn off muscle injury and he have or will undergo surgery for it. I agree with this, the rules do say that the one who caused the stoppage is to be excluded. Emil kept his line on the outside while Zagar moved all the way from a more inside line out to the fence ignoring that a rider was outside of him, which means that Zagar caused the stoppage. Imo I want to see racing woth passing, I don't want to see riders moving across the entire width of the track just to try and block someone.
  16. Zagar was slightly ahead yes but not enough ahead to be allowed to turn right and fence the rider on the outside. You just can turn tight when there is a rider on the outside. Zagar had the whole track to ride on but still decided to move out and block Emil. Emil kept his line while Zagar diidn't. Thus Zagar's move caused the stoppage.
  17. I disagree, Not Emil's fault that Zagar decided that he wanted to be a kamikaze rider.
  18. I agree, Zagar moved out all the way across the track to try and block Emil but Emil had already moved up alongside Zagar but still decided to close the door on Emil. So why is it that your view is the only view that counts?
  19. @MP, I would assume that Joonas have Finnish parents, there are allot of people in this region of Sweden who are 1st or 2nd generation of Finnish immigrants, so its quite likely that he have a dual citizenship as well.
  20. Iris, regarding Kylmäkorpi and a "non Swedish rider" winning the title. Joonas is born in Stockholm and I think he has lived more or less all his life there. He is also a former Swedish U21 champion (1999) so I would say that he just as much Swedish as Finnish.
  21. see this thread: http://www.speedway-forum.co.uk/forums/index.php?showtopic=71829
