2014 Gp Calendar
Ghostwalker replied to DutchGrasstrack's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
I'd say any of the Polish venues. It was Bydgoszcz this year and Leszno for 2010-2012 -
I don't know what the current rules are but you could keep the guest riders but add some limitations to the riders that is brought in as a guest rider, Limitations like this; He has to be a British rider His average cannot be higher then the missing riders average He cannot ride permanently (season wise) for another team in the same league

Stockholm Gp September 21st
Ghostwalker replied to racers and royals's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
There haven't been any info regarding exact number of tickets sold just that it is expected to be the second highest attendance of the series. Info Is coming from Morgan Andersson, former team manager for Västervik, Dackarna and Smederna now a expert commentator for C more. The info is not official in any way though. Sure Stockholm is expensive but "cheaper" then Oslo, Köpenhamn and Helsinki. Also dirt will arrive on Monday according to Björn Oldéen at C more. -

Bad Crash For Emil
Ghostwalker replied to Terry's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Well if he says that that he hope to be back for Torun then I think that it is a fracture. A normal fracture will take 5-6 weeks to heal which I think might be around the time for the Torun GP. -
Well we just have to agree on disagree then, I still think that run-offs can be avoided in most cased and that they should only be used a last resort if it's not possible to separate the riders through heat wins, 2nd places and etc. As it was in Gorican some riders had more heat wins then the others and therefore they should have been ranked higher then others.

Following the 6000+ sized attendance two days ago, Ikaros Smederna have taken the lead in the attendance standings: Smederna have averaged on 3808 per meeting which is more then twice as much as Hammarby which only managed 1738/meeting. http://www.aktuellspeedway.se/attendance.php?serie=1&season=2013

Wild Cards 2014
Ghostwalker replied to PHILIPRISING's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Why should it be? If a rider wants to represent the country in which he lives and and that country also is the country that his wife is from then why should it be a matter for FIM to approve or disapprove it? It should be a matter for the immigration authorities and the licensing authority in the country the rider wish to ride. It would hardly be the first time an athlete decides to represent another country. Despite that they have already represented another country during their professional career. Just because FIM have their "marketing ideas" for speedway in Russia and a possible GP in Russia should not allow them to take decisions that are based on what's best for their "wallet": For that they need to have big Russian stars, they have Emil and Grigorij but now one of them wants to change to a Latvian license. Obviously this is not good for FIM's marketing plans for speedway in Russia. Joonas Kylmäkorpi is another riders who have switched between licenses during his career, From Swedish to Finnish and back to Swedish license. Yet FIM apparently didn't not have any problems with that? -

Its hardly their business is it? In Holta's case I think he lived(/s) in Poland with his wife who is Polish? Does not Laguta live in Latvia with his Latvian wife? So they allowed Rune bot not Laguta? Also the reason to why he want to change is from what I understand that he has lost his patience with those who are running speedway in Russia, -

True. However I assume that there is a citizenship connected to the license. If you want to have a Swedish license you need a Swedish citizenship which means that the citizenship is connected to the license. If it works the same in Latvia and Laguta wants a Latvian license he also would need a Latvian citizenship and with a such the VISA rules does not apply to him. Again I am not sure what the Latvian license rules says and perhaps it is possible to have a Latvian license with a Russian citizenship. -

Ghostwalker replied to PHILIPRISING's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
I've seen claims that Laguta considers to change to a Latvian license for next year, which would mean that he would not need a VISA since Latvia is a member state of the European Union. -
His name change probably won't change officially with the leagues until next season. I am not sure how much changes that are allowed to be made outside the transfer windows.

Red Card For Adrian Miedzinski ?
Ghostwalker replied to Navigator1900's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
I don't think Emil would have managed to re-take the lead in the standings, Tai's form have been much better in the second half of the season compared to Emil's form. I agree that Miedzinski was to blame for the crash especially when they were more or less side by side. As long as the referees keep excluding the outside rider these blockings will continue, Referees need to start exclude riders when they do this kind of dangerous blockings. -
But he is in the lineup, at nr 7. MIkkel Bech Jensen, if you remember he changed his name to only Bech and skipped the Jensen part.

All I know is that the announcers said that Zagar had been excluded for unsportsmanlike conduct, I sat at the back straight and I didn't see what happened but I think he somehow deliberately tried to interfere with Buckowski. Really disappointed with the performance in heats 11-13 & 15. Jonsson and Pavlic, Zorro and Berrntzon scored to few points. You can only imagine what it would have looked liked with PK and Kenni in the lineup. Probably 7-8points each. It was to nice see Kenni again though and he got a deserving applause during the presentation. Not to be too pessimistic but there is no way we will manage to turn this around tomorrow. Piraterna will win by 8-10 points tomorrow.
