Freddie Lindgren said in an interview that old style leather were a bit unpractical due to that they are a bit inflexible which is a bit restrictive when it comes to the riders movements on the bike. Freddie also said that leathers are difficult to wash properly which means that they will become quite unhygienic after a while.

West Row, price money is bigger in SEC then SGP and regarding the sponsors I think it varies from rider to rider depending on who the sponsors are and what their main market is, The SEC have probably a wider covering in Europe thanks to that Eurosport broadcasts it all over Europe which means that sponsors will get exposure on countries that otherwise wouldn't have any speedway on tv. SGP on the other hand probably (?) have a bigger coverage outside Europe but on many different broadcasters,

Griparna have really been messing around the last couple of days, Lets's start from the beginning, Fredrik Edberg have been involved in both Hammarby's and Griparna's operations for some time. In the past week Edberg split with Hammarby in quite turbulent forms and he decided to fully focus on his role as deputy-chairmen of the board for Griparna. However since that moment he have sacked three riders that Griparna signed for next season. The riders in question are Joel Andersson, Szymon Wozniak and Rasmus Jensen. They were sacked since Edberg wanted to bring in three other riders; Kim Nilsson for everyone thought have signed for Hammarby, Ty Protctor and Kauko Nieminen. This means that with about 1 week reaming to the deadline for when the teams are to be registered, those three riders now are without a team place for next year since the other teams are already full (except maybe for Hammarby).

So why do they put Russia in the Kings Lynn group (if the qualify) when they know that some riders will have problems with acquiring a visa? -
2014 European Speedway Championships

According to Speedwaynyheter.se there will be one SEC in Scandinavia next season but Jan Konikiewicz does not want to say at what track or in which country it will be held. Jan also confirms that they are negotiating with Güstrow and that there will be an event in Germany next year. According to the same article FIM-Europe and BSI had a meeting the past weekend regarding the ban on Gp-riders in SEC. Jan says that at the moment it seems that SEC have "won"n but he does not want to say more until it has been official. http://translate.google.com/translate?sl=sv&tl=en&js=n&prev=_t&hl=sv&ie=UTF-8&u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.speedwaynyheter.se%2Fsec%2Fem-deltavling-till-skandinavien%2F -

Big Fat 40... Help On Which Gp To Do.
Ghostwalker replied to Walshy1974's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
what are your preferences when it comes to racing quality, stadium facilities, cost level, what you require of the surrounding area and etc..? Finest cities are IMO Copenhagen, Stockholm and Prague although the two first ones can be quite expensive. -
According to Speedwaynyheter, Vikingarna speedway from Örebro have decided that they intents to re-start their team and that they now are working hard to acquire the needed funds so that the team can afford to purchase an airfence which is required if the want to have any form of competitive racing. The full article can be found here: http://www.speedwaynyheter.se/ovrigt/vikingarna-aterupptar-verksamheten/ (Swedish) In Google English; http://translate.google.com/translate?sl=sv&tl=en&js=n&prev=_t&hl=sv&ie=UTF-8&u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.speedwaynyheter.se%2Fovrigt%2Fvikingarna-aterupptar-verksamheten%2F

It says more about you two then the Championship. I don't find it pointless at all, on the contrary I find it very interesting and refreshing. The SGP have become too much of a changeless series, the same riders year after year at the (mostly) same tracks in almost the same order. Which is why I think its a very good thing with BSI/SGP getting some competition form a "challenger" which means that BSI/SGP have to improve their product if they want to stay on top. That is how competition work, Imo we shall see in 2014 which series provides the best excitement and racing. I am not so sure that it will be SGP. Let the series co-exist without any restrictions and it will sort it self out if the interest isn't high enough for one or the other.

No offence Phil but I don't believe that for a second. Of course BSI is the ones behind it. -

Regarding Friends Arena I don't think that there would be any problems with using it at a later date. -
Wild Cards 2014
Ghostwalker replied to PHILIPRISING's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
I disagree with this. Laguta, MJJ, Dudek are definitely not one hit wonders unlike Harris. Just because you only have seen them in occasional international meetings doesn't mean that we have as well. I've been advocating for Laguta to be given a wild card for several years since he have been a solid scorer in the leagues for many years. I don't know why he haven't entered the qualifiers for 2014, possible he knew that he wouldn't get a visa for the Grand Prix Challenge (GPC). He have entered the qualifiers in some previous years but at least for one of these years he had to pull out due to injury. Patryk Dudek, Michael Jepsen Jensen and Maciej Janowski are just like Darcy Ward, World U21 champions. They should have an equally big or possible even bigger cause to be included compared to Darcy and Tai. Laguta, Dudek and MJJ have also been riding very well in the leagues (at least Poland and Sweden), Also your statement that Harris beat many of them in the GPC, isn't that a bit contradictory to your claim that we shouldn't base are opions on performances in single international meetings, but you just did with Harris when you said that he did well in the GPC.
