  1. I agree and I think this is the problem today that too many are too attached with the "old days" and the riders of that era. Forget those and focus on the next generation of stars; Ward, Woffinden, Sajfutdiov, Holder, Pawlicki,..
  2. Indianerna – Elit Vetlanda #tv meeting (hopefully) Indianerna Fredrik Lindgren (K) Piotr Swiderski Piotr Protasiewicz Cameron Woodward Niels-Kristian Iversen Joel Andersson Freddy Godlund Elit Vetlanda Emil Sayfutdinov Leon Madsen Jaroslaw Hampel (K) Thomas H Jonasson Tai Woffinden Magnus Karlsson Jacob Thorssell Indianerna have lost both their previous meetings and neither Bjerre or Lindbäck have returned from their injuries, Mikael Maxhaven't performed as expected this season and have been replaced by Freddy Godlund. They also chooses to use Piotr Swiderski instead of using r/r for Antonio Lindbäck. Vetlanda are mustering a full team and I expect them to win this fairly easy. Shall we say 42-48? If the meeting is broadcasted and they manage to prepare track good we could be in for a treat as the track is one of the best tracks in Sweden. It is also one of the longest with it's 375m. Weather forecast looks descent, no rain but quite cloudy. Race card: http://www.mediafire.com/view/d9vxtzma3t1vnbh/ES.2014.R3.Indianerna-ElitVetlanda.pdf Dackarna – Västervik Dackarna Nicki Pedersen Dennis Andersson Patryk Dudek Joonas Kylmäkorpi Michael Jepsen Jensen (K) Robin Aspegren Aleksandr Loktaev Västervik Rune Holta Daniel Nermark Troy Batchelor Hans Andersen Peter Ljung (K) Ludvig Lindgren Davey Watt For the first time this season Dackarna bring the best they lineup they can and it is an impressive lineup, With MJJ, Dudek and Loktaev back, Dackarna are clear favourites to win this meeting. Dackarna is one of the two teams that still are undefeated this season. Västervik on the other hand had a tough start in the first round away against Smederna and then had last weeks meeting at home against Piraterna rained off. Kasprzak is still out with the knee injury and won't be back until Prague's GP at the earliest which means that he will miss the next 3 meetings (including this one) for Västervik. Västervik really need to something exceptional if they are to avoid another loss. I think this will be an easy win for Dackarna 52-38. Piraterna – Ikaros Smederna Piraterna Greg Hancock (K) Linus Sundström Chris Holder Anton Rosén Darcy Ward Simon Gustafsson Fredrik Engman Ikaros Smederna Peter Karlsson Kjastas Puodzuks Kenni Larsen Mikkel Michelsen Grzegorz Zengota Oliver Berntzon Magnus Zetterström (K) Piraterna lost a bit surprisingly the open round at home against Vargarna and had their meeting last week rain off. Darcy makes his first meeting for Piraternas squad and Bjarne Pedersen is the one he replaces. With Darcy in the lineup the pressure on the other riders is not as high as in the premiere meeting. Smedernas are without Laguta for this meeting as he is occupied with a meeting in Russia. This means Kjastas Poudzuks is set for his first meeting as a Smederna rider. Missing Laguta is always tough but last season he didn't do particular well in Motala so perhaps Kjastas and the rest of the team can manage get away with a surprise win but imo that is not likely. Piraterna to win with 50-40. Rospiggarna – Vargarna Rospiggarna Andreas Jonsson (K) Jonas Davidsson Chris Harris Mads Korneliussen Grzegorz Walasek Timo Lahti Kim Nilsson Vargarna Martin Vaculik Artem Laguta Tomasz Gapinski Peter Kildemand (K) Daniel Davidsson R/R Adrian Miedzinski Ricky Kling Pontus Aspgren Newcomers Rospiggarna are still undefeated after winning at home against Elit Vetlanda which they followed up with a win away against Indianerna last week. Rospiggarna will meet Vargarna this week who won away against Piraterna in the first round but lost narrowly at home against Dackarna last week. With Daniel Davidsson out and that Rospiggarna's fairly short track is quit tricky I think Rospiggarna will take their third win. Both Vaculik and A. Laguta struggled at Vargarna's track last week and Orionparken is similar, a short technical track.
  3. the conflict between the teams (ESS) and Svemo regarding how to split the tv-money, continues. Basically the teams initially wanted an 80/20 split while Svemo offered a 50-50 split. ESS sent an offer (contents is undisclosed) to Svemo which Svemo have rejected, Svemo also have sent two different offers to ESS, the deadline of those are set to June 30th. http://www.speedwaynyheter.se/elitserien/fortsatt-tv-konflikt/ It is still unknown whether Cmore will be allowed to broadcast from tomorrow's meeting between Indianerna and Elit Vetlanda.
  4. I speaks for itself that you cannot compare someone like Darcy or Emil or Tai or Premyslaw Pawlicki who are at the beginning of their (GP-)careers with riders who have spent 15-20-25 years in the SGP and just as much time as one of the worlds top riders. Comeback 10 years from now and ask the same queation.
  5. Prague and Vojens is. And they're just as or almost as bad as Tammerfors. However I do hope that they can get the track in Tammerfors sorted because that would be a good boost for speedway in Finland which would be a benefit for the speedway sport as a whole.
  6. Unfortunately for you, PK have pulled out from the qualifications. He did a test a short while ago in a race in England and he felt that it was very tough physically and that it reminded him (physically) of his crash last season. http://speedway24.se/nyhet/ar-inte-karlssons-landslagskarriar-over
  7. Well Hampel is too reliant on his gating. When he doesn't gate he's not that good.
  8. No they're more likely to be out in the forest watching rally, the Finnish national sport.
  9. Then why did you post it in the first place? Just because someone else violates the rules doesn't mean you have to do the same.
  10. Does anyone know why Timi Lahti isn't riding in today's Daugavpils qualifications?
  11. To be honest with you, you have five lines of text, of which two are enlarged and coloured in red, just to announce that your "MiniMax" race cards now are available for download. Why? It's very self-explanatory that the race card is available when you post a link to it. And why is the extra size and the red colour needed? Why can't you just post a standard non-formatted link directly to the race card like everybody else, instead of adding allot of extra unnecessary information? All that is needed is name of the fixture+a standard link directly to the race card (not to the website where it is hosted). No extra "available now" and etc.
  12. Three meetings tonight: Lejonen -Griparna http://ta.svemo.se/Public/Pages/Competition/DrivingSchedule/CompetitionLiveResult.aspx?Branch=Speedway&Columns=CompetitionInfo,Branch,Name,Arena,Organizer,FromDateShort&Datefilter=Today&pagesize=10&CompetitionId=3322 Örnarna - Masarna http://ta.svemo.se/Public/Pages/Competition/DrivingSchedule/CompetitionLiveResult.aspx?Branch=Speedway&Columns=CompetitionInfo,Branch,Name,Arena,Organizer,FromDateShort&Datefilter=Today&pagesize=10&CompetitionId=3323 Gnistorna - Hammarby http://ta.svemo.se/Public/Pages/Competition/DrivingSchedule/CompetitionLiveResult.aspx?Branch=Speedway&Columns=CompetitionInfo,Branch,Name,Arena,Organizer,FromDateShort&Datefilter=Today&pagesize=10&CompetitionId=3324 Unfortunately there are no longer any streams from Allsvenskan.
  13. Lineups have been cofirmed: Germany 1. Martin Smolinski 2. Kai Huckenbeck 15. Michael Härtel Russia 3. Emil Sajfutdinov 4. Grigorij Laguta 16. Artem Laguta Poland 5. Jaroslaw Hampel 6. Patryk Dudek 17. Maciej Janowski Sweden 7. Andreas Jonsson 8. Peter Karlsson 18. Peter Ljung Australia 9. Chris Holder 10. Darcy Ward 19. Davey Watt Denmark 11. Nicki Pedersen 12. Niels-Kristian Iversen 20. Michael Jepsen Jensen Latvia 13. Andzejs Lebedevs 14. Kjastas Poudzuks 21. Maksims Bogdanovs http://www1.idrottonline.se/SmedernaSpeedwayforening-MotorcykelochSnoskoter/Nyheter/Nyhetsarkiv/LaguppstallningarSpeedwayBestPairs23maj/
  14. You also have the same thing at Svemo: http://www.svemo.se/sv/Grenar/Speedway/Elitserien2014/Matchresultat/
  15. It has been confirmed that PK will get the nod for next week's final of Best Pairs. The Swedish lineup currently looks like this; 1. Andreas Jonsson 2. Peter Karlsson 3. Peter Ljung Andeas Jonsson is a bit uncertain though due to a crash last night. http://www1.idrottonline.se/SmedernaSpeedwayforening-MotorcykelochSnoskoter/Nyheter/Nyhetsarkiv/PeterKarlssonklarforSpeedwayBestPairs/ Russia will also use Grigorij Laguta and I think that Kjastas Poudzuks still is in Latvias team? Then if I were Denmark I would use Kenni Larsen as a reserve over Hans Andersen. In a best case scenario there could be four Smederna rider participating.
  16. A new date have been set for the postponed meeting between Västervik and Piraterna. The new date is 28/5 according to Piraterna's team manager.
  17. Daniel Davidsson will undergo surgery today due to a double fractured leg so will probably be out for a few months at least.
  18. It has been raining on and off for two weeks with more rain about one hour before the scheduled starting time. of the meeting so not much one can do about it.
  19. A suspected broken leg for Daniel Davidsson. https://twitter.com/VargarnaSW/status/466269798620758016 Andreas Jonsson is also injured. https://twitter.com/NT_Sporten/status/466272898383347712
  20. Most of the track was fine, but there was a problem with the bends which was said to be "Bottomless" for about 15-20m stretch on each. Daniel Davidsson had a fall in his first heat and has been brought away with ambulance.
  21. Krzysztof Kasprzak's injury could be so serious that he risks missing the entire season. Apparently he has a broken leg and a also a serious Cruciate ligament injury. These injuries requires surgery and the recovery can last up to 6 months which obviously would mean no more racing this season. The source is the local newspaper from the town where Kryz' Swedish team is from and they cite espeedway.pl as their source. http://www.vt.se/sport/?articleid=7621246
