Swedish Elitserien 2014, Round 9
Ghostwalker replied to Ghostwalker's topic in International World of Speedway
No they have lost twice. although it was in the beginning of the series, http://ta.svemo.se/Public/Pages/Competition/DrivingSchedule/CompetitionHeatSchema.aspx?Branch=Speedway&Season=2014&Serie=Elitserien&Resultfilter=APPROVED&Columns=FromDateShort%2cName%2cHeatSchema%2cHeatResult&pagesize=20&CompetitionId=3321 http://ta.svemo.se/Public/Pages/Competition/DrivingSchedule/CompetitionHeatSchema.aspx?Branch=Speedway&Season=2014&Serie=Elitserien&Resultfilter=APPROVED&Columns=FromDateShort%2cName%2cHeatSchema%2cHeatResult&pagesize=20&CompetitionId=3338 However Smederna only lost by 12p tonight and you have to have in mind that they didn't have Grigorij Laguta who is injured but who also is almost unbeatable at Smedstadion., If you would have had Grisha as nr5 instead of Zengota, Smederna would have won tonight's meeting. -

Bb, i dont have an ipad only my trusted HTC Desire. Also Jansson and Jarl should have used MikMik instead of Zorro in heat 10. Superb move by MikMik on Emil in heat 9. -

It's currently raining downtown pretty much unfortunately. Don't know what it looks at the track but I'll give you an update once I get to the track which will be around 40 minutes from now. -

Like I wrote above the rumour is that it will be another an arena called Casa Arena in Horsens just south of Århus. According to the article, there have already been talk between arena officials and representatives from SGP organisation. -

Ghostwalker replied to DutchGrasstrack's topic in International World of Speedway
In the latest issue of the Swedish speedway magazine, Speedway racing, there was a full page article about Dutch Speedway. Interesting read. Among other things they mentioned the meeting at Veenoord and the specator size at 1500 at it and that the match programmes had sold out. -
Preview Elitserien round 9 Ikaros Smederna - Elit Vetlanda #tv meeting# Live Eurosport 1 18.00 BST / 19.00 CEST / 20.00 EEST race card: http://www.mediafire.com/view/tr0dziuno4nlgg0/ES.2014.R9.IkarosSmederna-ElitVetlanda.pdf Ikaros Smederna (43) Kenni Larsen Oliver Berntzon Peter Karlsson Pawel Przedpelski Grzegorz Zengota Mikkel Michelsen Magnus Zetterström Elit Vetlanda (47) Tai Woffinden Emil Sayfutdinov Jarek Hampel (K) Tomas H Jonasson Janusz Kolodziej Magnus Karlsson Jacob Thorssell This weeks tv-meeting. This will be a very hard challenge for Smederna especially without Laguta. I don't know if Oliver Berntzon will ride tomorrow (he have a light hand injury) or if they will use R/R for him. I haven't seen any info regarding it so I assume that he rides. As #4 for Smederna we will see the Polish mega talent Pawel Przedpelski makes his debut for Smederna. Vetlanda chooses to ride with Janusz Kolodziej instead of Leon Madsen. Anyhow Vetlanda should win this without too much problem. Smederna are quite strong at home but the form in Zetterström is abysmal, Smederna also misses Laguta and Berntzon is injures. I would say that the score will be 40-50 at the least. Also don't expect any fancy racing like last week since there will not be as good racing as last week, Piraterna - Västervik Piraterna (46) Greg Hancock Rory Schlein Bjarne Pedersen Linus Sundström Darcy Ward Anton Rosén Fredrik Engman Västervik (44) Przemyslaw Pawlicki Peter Ljung Krzysztof Kasprzak Hans Andersen Troy Batchelor Ludvig Lindgren Mathias Thörnblom This will be very interesting interesting, Holder is still out for Piraterna and he is replaced by Schlein. Piraterna have been quite up and down this season and although they have had injuries on both Ward and Holder. The team have not performed as expected and Piraterna is currently in 7th position with 7p which is 5p more then Västervik who is in last place. Västervik have only won one meeting and are in desperate need of points. I think this will be a close meeting. Västervik sacked three riders in the transfer window and one of the riders brought in is the former Piraterna rider Przremyslaw Pawlicki and he should be very familiar with the track but will it be enough? Most likely it will depend on how well Kasprzak and the Swedes perform. Rospiggarna - Indianerna Rospiggarna (47) Andreas Jonsson Kim Nilsson Mads Korneliussen Timo Lahti Andzejs Lebedevs Chris Harris Jonas Davidsson Indianerna (42) Fredrik Lindgren Antonio Lindbäck Piotr Protasiewicz Kenneth Bjerre Niels-Kristian Iversen Joel Andersson Mikael Max Another very interesting meeting. Rospiggarna took a very solid win over Smederna last week, however Smederna only mustered a five man team with R/R for Laguta and an injury on Berntzon. Rospiggarna have only lost 1 meeting so far (at home against Dackarna) but Indianerna are a very strong team which has three straight (big) victories. They key to this meeting for Indianerna is how well Protasiewicz handles Orionparkens tight and technical track. For Rospiggarna Chris Harris gets a new chance at reserve. I think Indianerna will win the meeting with the aggregate bonus point going to Rospiggarna. Dackarna - Vargarna Dackarna (45) Nicki Pedersen Dennis Andersson Patryk Dudek Alexandr Loktaev Mikkel Bech Joonas Kylmäkorpi Michael Jepsen Jensen Robin Aspegren Vargarna (42) Martin Vaculik Pontus Aspgren Peter Kildemand Jason Doyle Adrian Miedzinski Ricky Kling Billy Forsberg Dackarna have not lived up to the expectations so far, partially because Michael Jepsen Jensen has dropped his average by about 72% (1.881 to 0.538) which means that he now is down to reserve. Loktaev have not recovered from his shoulder injury and is replaced by Mikkel Bech which is a big blow to Dackarna since Loktaev have been excellent in the meetings he have ridden. The rest of the riders have mostly lowered the averages except Robin Aspegren which have slightly increased his average, Vargarna have been quite good at home but have not won any away meeting after the win in round 1. I think that this will be a close meeting but that MJJ at reserve will make the difference, Live results at: http://www.svemo.se/Speedway

ok, but there is no way Laguta will ride though, In a best case scenario he might be back for SWC but even that is doubtful. -
Danish Gp 28/6
Ghostwalker replied to LagutaRacingFan's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
No he didn't and no he hasn't. The only reason that he is in this years GP-series is that he got a freebie into the GP-challenge final when Zagar pulled out. He was given this freebie ahead of many other who actually had finished the qualifiers ahead of Harris and far from everyone of them was asked if they were interested in the vacant slot on the GP-challenge. So I why are you keep claiming that he qualified by right? -

This will be the last GP at Parken. http://www.dr.dk/Sporten/Oevrig_sport/2014/06/23/0623114534.htm Too bad, I prefer Parken over the ultraslick boring Vojens track, According to this article Casa Arena in Horsens might take over the hosting of the Dansih GP. http://ekstrabladet.dk/sport/anden_sport/motorsport/speedway/article2316585.ece -

Sgp Challenge Final Sat 20th Sept
Ghostwalker replied to screm's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Which he actually didn't since he was knocked already in the first round in the qualifying for this years GP-series but was gifted a place to the GP-challenge at Poole ahead of many other who had finished ahead of Chris Harris. He did however made top 8 one year but I think we can see it as the exception that confirms the rule. -
Nicolai Klind to Hammarby instead of Andrej Karpov who moved to Griparna, http://www.speedwaynyheter.se/hammarby/klindt-klar-for-hammarby/ Adam Cyfer have signed with Gnistorna instead of Henrik Karlsson who decided to take a break from speedway, http://www.speedwaynyheter.se/gnistorna/cyfer-klar-for-gnistorna/ No news on Holta yet.

His engine blew up in the second heat, the he didn't ride anymore due to a problem with his hand. Also the meeting was yesterday not tonight. -
Smederna have signed Davey Watt as a replacement for Laguta until Laguta returns from injury. More info later, I'm away at a RallyX event in Strängnäs. As it says above this a signing outside the transfer window which is allowed according the rule for replacing long time injured riders. This mean that Davey Watt will be in the squad until Laguta returns from injury unless that happens in less 28 days since a the replacement will be a part of the squad for a minimum of 28 days. However I am not really pleased with this signing, or rather I don't see the point of it since there isn't any room in the lineup for Davey. We signed Pzredpelski last week and at the moment I think he have priority for Laguta's place in the lineup. Although Davey have a higher average then both Michelsen and Zengota the latter two have really upped their riding lately and should not be left outside the lineup unless they do a bad meeting. So IMO Watt is a backup for the others but should be givena go ahead of Pzredpelski, Michelsen or Zengota and also have in mind that the lineup needs to have three Swedes.
