The thing is though that Darcy doesn't have any license to loose since he already lost it (a two year disqualification) after the incident in Australia.

No it shouldn't be really and I find it strange that there aren't any pre-defined rulings for riders who are caught being intoxicated in relation to a meeting.

Swedish play offs 2014 It's only the end of August and Elitserien is already finished. It's only 14 rounds but still. This means that it's play off time. Elitserien's play off consists of two quart finals, two semifinals and one final. teams 1 and 2 from the final standings are seeded to semi final while teams 3-6 are qualified for the quarter finals. Team 3 gets to pick (between teams 5 & 6) which team they want to meet and also if the want to start at home or away. Team 4 (obviously) meets the team that wasn't picked by team 3 but Team 4 also gets to choose whether to start home or away. Rospiggarna chose Smederna and to start away, while Indianerna also chose to start away against their opponent Dackarna. The semis works the same way, Vetlanda gets to pick first and Piraterna get the remaining team. Both meeting are televised in Sweden, Dackarna-Indianerna will be the main focus meeting aired in Cmore sport Smederna-Rospiggarna will be shown on Cmore extreme. It seems though that neither of this week's meetings or next week's meetings are shown on Eurosport due to US Open in Tennis. More info about that in this thread: http://www.speedway-forum.co.uk/forums/index.php?showtopic=77494 Live scores at: http://www.svemo.se/Speedway. from 19.00 Swedish time. race cards: Ikaros Smederna - Rospiggarna: http://www.mediafire.com/view/7e4rwqh84c0wc21/ES.2014.QF1-1.IkarosSmederna-Rospiggarna.pdf Dackarna - Indianerna: http://www.mediafire.com/view/ezblgyluzlccezz/ES.2014.QF2-1.Dackarna-Indianerna.pdf Rospiggarna - Smederna: http://www.mediafire.com/view/lhgshvjzcvdgl10/ES.2014.QF1-2.Rospiggarna-IkarosSmederna.pdf Indianerna - Dackarna: http://www.mediafire.com/view/y3cwliu4qdb43e2/ES.2014.QF2-2.Indianerna-Dackarna.pdf Piraterna - Indianerna http://www.mediafire.com/view/9jz9t7st8kk1173/ES.2014.SF2-1.Piraterna-Indianerna.pdf Elit Vetlanda - Rospiggarna: http://www.mediafire.com/view/p4qs6mr4hx3qm38/ES.2014.SF1-2.ElitVetlanda-Rospiggarna.pdf Indianerna-Piraterna: http://www.mediafire.com/view/yheh9hxizi90z3i/ES.2014.SF2-2.Indianerna-Piraterna.pdf Quarter-finals leg 1: 2014-08-26 Ikaros Smederna - Rospiggarna Ikaros Smederna Grzegorz Zengota Kenni Larsen Pawel Przedpelski Grigorij Laguta Peter Karlsson Oliver Berntzon Magnus Zetterström Rospiggarna Maciej Janowski Timo Lahti Mads Korneliussen Kim Nilsson Andreas Jonsson Chris Harris Jonas Davidsson For the first time since June Ikaros Smederna can bring in the best riders that they have. Kenni returned last week and this week Grigorij Laguta makes his comeback after being sidelined for two months due to a foot injury. Smederna's riders also seems to have found a good form in the last couple of meetings. Especially Zengota seems to have found himself a good form. Smederna did a heroic effort away against Indianerna two weeks ago which was followed up by a good start against Vargarna last week before the meeting was aborted by rain. For Smederna the return of Laguta/Kenni means that Davey Watt is no longer registered in Smederna's squad and that Mikkel Michelsen is outside the lineup. Rospiggarna on the other hand finished the season with three straight narrow losses against Smederna, Piraterna and Dackarna. They have brought in Maciej Janowski instead of Walasek who is injured. Mads Korneliussen has been sidelined for a while due to a crash but is supposed to be fit for fight. Some think Smederna will steam roll this but I think that it will be quite close over two meetings. Smederna have been quite strong at home but so have Rospiggarna. I think Smederna will need maybe 10-12 points from the first leg to be able to advance to the semi final. Dackarna-Indianerna, postponed to Monday Sep 1st. (televised on Cmore). Dackarna Nicki Pedersen R/R Joonas Kylmäkorpi Michael Jepsen Jensen Rune Holta Alexandr Loktaev Dennis Andersson Robin Aspegren Indianerna Fredrik Lindgren Kenneth Bjerre Piotr Protasiewicz Piotr Swiderski Cameron Woordward Antonio Lindbäck Mikael Max Stackarna, err I mean Dackarna, have a tough situation at the moment. Patryk Dudek suspended until till further notice, Krzyzstof Buczkowski long time injured (replaced by Rune Holta), Robin Aspegren injured (replaced by Victor Paloovaara) and then in the Polish Ekstraliga Championship, Nicki Pedersen was injured and is unable to ride. Then who knows whether Loktaev is planning on showing up or if he have another one of those occurrences when he "strains a muscle" while entering his van. Dackarna faces a hard challenge and while I think that they might be able to keep the scores down at home but over two meetings I don't think they will able to stand up against Indianerna. Indianerna are at full strength and are imo favourites to win this quarter final. I think Dackarna's track which is a pretty "easy" track will suit Indianerna well. update 2014-08-31, 22.00. As you know Niels-Kristian Iversen crashed in yesterday's GP and is out for the rest of the season. This means that Indianerna have opted to replace him and Joel Andersson in the lineup with Cameron Woodward and Piotr Swiderski. As a result of this Antonio Lindbäck is moved down to reserve. For Dackarna Nicki will not ride and they will use R/R for him. Quarter-final leg 2: 2014-09-02 Rospiggarna (49) - Smederna (41) Rospiggarna Andreas Jonsson Kim Nilsson Mads Korneliussen Chris Harris Maciej Janowski Timo Lahti Jonas Davidsson Ikaros Smederna Kenni Larsen Pawel Przedpelski Grigorij Laguta Peter Karlsson Grzegorz Zengota Oliver Berntzon Magnus Zetterström Indianerna - Dackarna Indianerna Fredrik Lindgren Piotr Swiderski Kenneth Bjerre Cameron Woodward Piotr Protasiewicz Mikael Max Antonio Lindbäck Dackarna Michael Jepsen Jensen Rune Holta Alexandr Loktaev Nicki Pedersen R/R Joonas Kylmäkorpi Robin Aspegren Victor Palovaara Backup day: 2014-09-03 Semi finals leg 1: 2014-09-09 (semi 1:1 and 2:1) Rospiggarna - Elit Vetlanda Rospiggarna Andreas Jonsson Kim Nilsson Mads Korneliussen Chris Harris Maciej Janowski Timo Lahti Jonas Davidsson Elit Vetlanda Emil Sayfutdinov Bartosz Zmarzlik Jaroslaw Hampel (K) Tomas H Jonasson Janusz Kolodziej David Ruud Magnus Karlsson Piraterna - Indianerna Piraterna Bjarne Pedersen Linus Sundström Chris Holder Anton Rosén Piotr Pawlicki Fredrik Engman Rory Schlein Indianerna Fredrik Lindgren Antonio Lindbäck Kenneth Bjerre Piotr Swiderski Piotr Protasiewicz Mikael Max Scott Nicholls Semi finals leg 2: 2014-09-16 (semi 1:2) Elit Vetlanda - Rospiggarna Elit Vetlanda (43) Emil Sayfutdinov Bartek Zmarzlik Jaroslaw Hampel Janusz Kolodziej Tomas H Jonasson Jacob Thorssell David Ruud Rospiggarna (47) Grzegorz Walasek Kim Nilsson Mads Korneliussen Chris Harris Andreas Jonsson Jonas Davidsson Timo Lahti Rospiggarna holds a 4p lead after the first leg of the semi final. There are some changes compared to last week. For Vetlanda, Jacob Thorssell is back. He replaces Magnus Karlsson. For Rospiggarna Grzegorz Walasek returns after injury which means that Maciej Janowski leaves the team. 2014-09-17 (semi 2:2) Indianerna - Piraterna Indianerna Fredrik Lindgren Antonio Lindbäck Kenneth Bjerre R/R Piotr Swiderski Piotr Protasiewicz Mikael Max Scott Nicholls Piraterna Linus Sundström Piotr Pawlicki R/R Chris Holder Bjarne Pedersen Rory Schlein Simon Gustafsson Fredrik Engman Both teams are heavily affected by injuries; Iversen, Woodward and Bjerre for Indianerna. For Piraterna Greg Hancock is injured and his replacement Pawlicki is also injured then add the suspended Ward to that. I think Piraterna will fight back as much as the can but in the end I think Indianerna will be too strong. Although Piraterna misses more "Important" riders, IMO Indianerna have a much wiser team build which means that they are less affected.by injuries. Piraterna put all eggs in the same basket with Holder, Greg and Darcy which meant that there weren't much space left for the rest of the riders, Both teams uses R/R for Bjerre and Pawlicki respectively. For both teams all riders can take a R/R heat. Normally Indianerna's track Sannahed provides a very condition for great racing and I hope it will the same tomorrow. Final 1: 2014-09-30 Indianerna Fredrik Lindgren Antonio Lindbäck Kenneth Bjerre Jurica Pavlic Piotr Protasiewicz Mikael Max Scott Nicholls Elit Vetlanda Tai Woffinden Emil Sayfutdinov Jaroslaw Hampel (K) Bartosz Zmarzlik Tomas H Jonasson David Ruud Jacob Thorssell Final 2: 2014-10-01 team lineups TBA Backup day 2014-10-xx.

Ghostwalker replied to racers and royals's topic in International World of Speedway
It seems that Holsted have accused Munkebo for deliberately turning of the power (to the floodlights?), while leading 43-41 with one heat to go, so that they could be awarded the win with 43-41. However the Danish federation, DMU, ruled that there was no evidence that Mukebo had deliberately turned of the power or deliberately prevented it from being turned back on. The result stands which means that Munkebo remains in third place in the league. http://www.fyens.dk/sport/Munkebo-Speedway-frikendt-i-stroemsag/artikel/2562882 -

Well weather at Vojens is usually quite doubtful as well so that would perhaps not be much "standby" to rely on. -

The disadvantage with CASA Arena is that it doesn't have a roof. -

Poole have (had) Przemylsaw Pawlicki, but I think he is injured as well? -
Lineups have been declared for Tuesday's quarter finals: http://www.svemo.se/sv/Grenar/Speedway/Elitserien2014/ Dackarna will have to use R/R for Nicki and then Holta will replace Buzckowski. The other teams are expected to have full strength teams. I will make a proper play off thread but it won't be up until tomorrow. -- More info about Vargarna: http://www.vargarnaspeedway.se/medlemsmoten/medlemmar-i-vargarna-speedway/

Vargarna gets another loan from Torsten Sahlin and Vargarna will take a decision within 2-3 weeks whether they will remain in Elitserien or not. If they decide to step sown to Allsvenskan, Västervik will be offered their place in Elitserien. http://www.nt.se/sport/sahlin-raddar-vargarna-skanker-900-000-10087205.aspx

So which riders do we think will get the nod? There are likely three riders that needs to be replaced; Nicki, Darcy and Tai.
-
Krzysztof Buczkowski who crashed a while back have been replaced by Rune Holta accordingly to the rule about replacing a longtime injured rider. http://www.dackarna.nu/sv/nyheter/nyheter/e/5007/rune-holta-ersatter-buczkowski/ Nicki Pedersen is also injured but since he is expected to be absent for less then 28 days Dackarna can not replace him and will probably use R/R for him.

I don't know how far down the list they go, nut Hans Andersen is next in line after MJJ; http://www.fim-live.com/fileadmin/user_upload/documents/CCP_2012/2013/501-06.pdf
