  1. THJ should be awarded a wild card if Lindgren missed out on top 8 and if THJ won't be top 3 in the GP challenge. My 4 picks at the moment (if Lindgren is outside top 8): 1. Thomas H Jonasson 2. Zmarzlik 3. Iversen 4. Jepsen Jensen or Kildemand
  2. Greg says that he is expected to be away for two weeks. http://www.speedwaynyheter.se/sgp/hancock-borta-i-tva-veckor/
  3. Startlist for Karlstad Open: 1. Ludvig Eriksson 2. Jonas Engdahl 3. Oskar Thulin 4. Alexander Liljekvist 5. Robin Norman 6. Martin Liljekvist 7. Daniel Halling 8. Rasmus Broberg 9. Ricky Törnkvist 10. Johannes Stark 11. Anders Mellgren 12. Adrian Bergqvist 13. Nathalie Thelenius 14. Victor Flood 15. Victor Palovaara 16. Johan Jensen http://speedway054.se/?p=636

  5. So it seems it will be re-staged October 18th according to Zengota. https://twitter.com/ZengiRacing/status/506088714595209216
  6. His team said on twitter that the middle finger was dislocated and that the pointing finger was broken. I still think this is very minor injuries, compared to broken wrists/arms/legs/collarbones...
  7. I do expect Greg to ride. The crash looked horrifying but he escaped with very minor injuries.
  8. Well no Iversen for certain, Greg is uncertain but I think he will ride since it was only a dislocated finger.
  9. I think THJ have earned himself a pick if he doesn't qualify by own merit via the GP Challenge. He is riding well in Sweden and rode very good in the SWC this year. Mikkel Bech haven't been that good this season and is not GP-material yet.
  10. crushed knuckle not dislocated according to sgp. But other then that I agree with you. Could easily have been a broken arm or something like that.
  11. You could say the same about Holder. In case you forgot, Holder and the other monster riders loudly complained about Nicki a few months ago and Holder are doing the same as nicki. The Hypocrisy works both ways. If Holder complains about Nicki's riding then Nicki have all the right in the world to complain about Holder's riding.
  12. Why would it? If Billy Forsberg can do a comeback after 6 years and Antonio indbäck after a year and a half. Surely Darcy should be able do the same?
  13. Its not only the fact that a rider rides for different teams in several different countries that is a "problem". The different countries leagues have different rules for team building, averages, guest riders, transfer windows replacing injured riders...
  14. Actually F-s-p, you are not correct. The FIM anti-doping rules (under which alcohol is included) is the same as WADA's rules and according to WADA's anti-doping rules alcohol is considered to be doping and is forbidden during competition for competitors who's sports are belonging to any of the following sport federations: http://list.wada-ama.org/prohibited-in-particular-sports/prohibited-substances/ So if FIM came to the conclusion that the tests were accurate. Darcy Ward has judging by Wada's rules violated Wada's doping rules and is to be considered as doped. Compare this to FIM's rules and as you can see FIM uses the exact same phrasing as WADA: http://www.fim-live.com/fileadmin/alfresco/6572010_ang_ANTI-DOPING.pdf (page 65). Also (I don't have a link at the moment) it is my impression that the local jury in Daugavpils did not have the mandate/authority to hand out a more harder penalty then they did since a €3000 fine and a suspension from that race was the maximum penalty allowed for a local jury to hand out.
  15. This is the official FIM document about Darcy's suspension: http://www.fim-live.com/fileadmin/alfresco/FIM_Anti-doping_Controls_-_Speedway_Grand_Prix_World_Championship_-_Darcy_Ward_provisionnally_suspended.pdf
  16. I hadn't even heard about him until a few weeks ago. -------------- http://sverigesradio.se/sida/artikel.aspx?programid=179&artikel=5950511 Former team manager Tommy Rander who have been on a collision course with Svemo since his team Kaparna were denied an elite licensee about 10 years ago. He have been appointed by the Swedish clubs to investigate the future of the governing of Swedish speedway. Hardly surprising he has decided that the best alternative is to copy the organisation from British Speedway with the clubs still being under Svemo (SCB) but with a much larger indecency (BSPA). You gotta wonder why he is such a fan of the British model? Everyone can see what the status of British Speedway is and I fail to understand why anyone would like to have the same system in Swedish speedway? Clubs want more influence but they already have influence. Many of the league specific rules are requests from clubs. Like the current R/R rule which was changed from the top 2 riders (decided by rolling average) per line-up to top 5 riders per lineup. Imo Swedish clubs have a very short term thinking. They want what is best for their own team at the moment regardless if this is good or bad for their team and the sport in a more longer term. So IMO the clubs can not be trusted with the future of Swedish speedway.
  17. I read last summer that the Friedrich-Ludwig-Jahn-Sportpark in Berlin was a candidate for a GP but I don't know if it still is. It was only a tweet so not much info, 13 years ago this stadium hosted the first ever GP on a temporary track, I posted some info about last year. http://www.speedway-forum.co.uk/forums/index.php?showtopic=74213&&page=3&do=findComment&comment=2330383 https://twitter.com/Mediaspeed_net/status/368422757769699328
  18. Here is what the "STATUTES AND BY-LAWS FINANCIAL REGULATIONS SPORTING CODE DISCIPLINARY AND ARBITRATION CODE" says about the CDI: http://www.fim-live.com/fileadmin/alfresco/6501099_eng-..pdf
  19. I think (guessing) that Darcy and his lawyers have been allowed to submit their claims/evidences/version regarding the tests and what happened to FIM's medical commission (CIM). They then judged those evidences against the report of the local jury. The CIM then came to the conclusions that the tests were made in a proper manner and now defers to the Disciplinary Court now only have to decide on possible further penalties. Then when DC have made a verdict, depending on the outcome Darcy Ward (or possible Wada) can choose to appeal the verdict.
  20. Don't "worry", I am sure Poole will find a way to get either of them into the team. Tough blow to his Swedish team though since afaik, they are not allowed to bring in a replacement for a banned rider. Although their semifinal leg 1 is almost two weeks away.
