Well compare Nicki to Leigh Adams. Who is/was the most of a gentleman on the track and who's a three time world champion... -

Perhaps, but then the referees would take the easy way out and "always" allow both in re-start, except Nicki who always would be excluded. -

That surely applies to Nicki as well doesn't it? If Nicki is ex'd despite being lightly touched, surely Batchelor should have been excluded there after doing the same thing? Or is that rule only valid when Nicki is the one that falls? -

Nicki was ahead and where do you suppose he should have gone there? Door was wide open and Batchelor just thought he could lay himself on Nicki but Nicki was already ahead. LIke Arson fire says. Had it been anyone else then Nicki Batch would have been ex'd. or the opposite situation Nicki would have been pointed to as being the offender as well. -

Almost unbelievable that Bjerre was able to walk away from that. What AJ is doing shouldn't be allowed. No rider should be allowed at the track without being seated on their bikes, Second 2min should have been put on directly and any rider that leaves the track should immediately be DSQ. Batch have to go there. -

Imo transponders should be implemented. A reaction time is decided about if a rider moves faster then the decided time he/she is excluded. Just like in athletics where they also have sensors to decide if a runner have reacted to fast. Anyone who has is DSQ, -

It seems that were some doubts regarding silencers before the GP: ¨http://translate.google.com/translate?depth=1&hl=en&ie=UTF8&rurl=translate.google.com&sl=pl&tl=en&u=http://www.sportowefakty.pl/zuzel/467768/zakwestionowano-tlumiki-zuzlowcow-przed-grand-prix-nordyckim -

The cost of such event. I think the cost of renting Wembley for the amount of time needed would be "astronomical": -

I can't believe people still are nagging about giving Gollob a wild card. He have been looking uninterested for a few years now. He was very good when he was at his best but those days are gone now so let it be. Time to focus on the next generation of riders like Zmarzlik. -

It will most likely be Rasmus Broberg who replaces Anton Rosén in tonight's leg 2 semi final between Masarna and Gnistorna. Anton Rosén had a crash last night is reported to have suffered a concussion. -

Broadcast have started already but the racing does not start until 19.00 (26 minutes). Also use the play off thread rather then this one. http://www.speedway-forum.co.uk/forums/index.php?showtopic=77586&page=7 -
C'non now this is old news (about 3 weeks or so). And abuse? There were some criticism but abuse? I seriously doubt that and I doubt the criticism is the reason to his resignation. The same day as he resigned Antonio made a comment that he would boycott the national team as long as Stefan "Ando" Andersson Skill was a team manager for the national team. The criticism was that he picked Darcy despite the failed alcohol test. People were aware that Darcy at the time was allowed to race and that Ando did not break any rules but people thought Ando should have made an example that these types of incidents are unacceptable, especially since Ando had said before the season that he wouldn't tolerate any "scandals". However when ultimately faced with the dilemma he took the "easy way out" by including Darcy in the line-up in a sort of "winning at all costs" way and regardless of his previous comment Ando was also sitting on two chairs since he was both team manager for Piraterna and the National Team. He chose his employer over the national team by picking Darcy to ride for Piraterna. Comparison was made to what Vargarna did when Kasprzak was "caught" tampering with his silencers. KK and/or his mechanics quickly disappeared with the silencer in question and nobody was able to prove anything. Despite that Vargarna took the decision that KK wouldn't ride anymore for them at all. A decision that they honoured despite that KK was a very important rider for them.

It seems that thee are suspicions in Poland that there are riders that have manipulated their silences by making additional holes in then and then covering the holes welding. Obviously any kind of tampering with the silencer is illegal as far as I know but how is it possible for these riders to get the silencers to pass scrutineering? https://translate.google.com/translate?sl=auto&tl=en&js=y&prev=_t&hl=sv&ie=UTF-8&u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.espeedway.pl%2Fnews%2Cczy_zawodnicy_enea_ekstraligi_dziurawia_tlumiki%2C72759%2C12.html&edit-text= As I wrote in the U21 WC thread, Jacob Thorssell's sister Mathilda wrote claims on twitter regarding the existence of illegal silencers in that event but that the officials didn't seem to do anything about it. So do you think these two claims are related?
-
Well who's career have been going straight up all the time? It's fairly common that young talents have dips early in their career. I haven't seen much of Przemyslaw Pawlicki this yea but last season and the season he was very good for Piraterna. I definitely think he will be a world class rider and a future GP-rider.
-
Perhaps a little early to "write them off"? They are only 23 years old so still in the beginning of their careers so let's give them another 5-10 years before we rule them out as being "true world class". There is also Pawel Prezedpelski who have been very solid for Smederna (with one exception) since he came into the team in the mid-season transfer window.
