Yes and no. There won't be a completely new thread but like previous seasons I'll just change the bits and pieces in this thread that needs changing. 2014 season rules/teams & etc for archive purposes. 2014 rules: 2014 Elitserien teams: Allsvenskan 2014 teams/Fixtures: Division 1 2014 2014 Individual Swedish championship

It seems that Finnish rider Timo Lahti will be riding on a Swedish license next year. The reason to this is that Rosiggarna now can use him as one their three mandatory Swedish riders per lineup. Obviously it is very good for Lahti and for Rospiggarna but if you look at it from the perspective of Swedish speedway, Timo is taking a place that would otherwise have gone to a Swedish rider. http://www.speedwaynyheter.se/rospiggarna/lahti-kvar-i-rospiggarna-pa-svensk-licens/

I have to disagree with that. At least in Sweden, swimming gets pretty good coverage between the Olympics. The various championships are usually aired live on tv..

2015 Gp Wild Cards
Ghostwalker replied to arnieg's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
How do you define the 15 best riders in the world? How do you know that the riders placed 9 or worse in the total standings are better then those currently outside the Grand Prix series? You cannot possible know until the latter too have been awarded a wild card to the GP-series. How do you know that THJ would do worse then Freddie in a full season in the GP-series? As for criterias, one criteria is how many wild card that rider have received before and the more wild card picks the further down the pecking order the rider should be. I think it's 5 wc now for Freddie, another criteria is performance in the speedway world cup. Freddie boycotted the SWC. If he can't bother to do the SWC he should not be considered for a SGP pick either (unless the rider were injured). Then we can look at what the rider have achieved in the SGP; how many seasons in the SGP, how many times the rider have finished top 8. Which means amount of top 8 finishes in relation to number of seasons in the SGP. Then no rider should be handed a wild card for two years in a row, unless that riders have suffered long time injuries resulting in that rider Imo a rider have to take the chances he is given, a rider should not have unlimited amount of wild cards. 5 is 1 or 2 too many. What are your motivation to give Freddie another wild card? -
2015 Gp Wild Cards

No way Freddie Lindgren can be justified to get another wild card. He had way to many already and have only managed to be top 8 once. -
No there isn't.

2015 Gp Wild Cards
Ghostwalker replied to arnieg's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
There is only one way to find out. I think the GP-series have stagnated and probably needs a set of new faces. If Jonsson and/or Lindgren misses out on top 8, I think it won't do them any harm to sit out a year. Especially Freddie who notoriously have been relying on wild cards (with 2 exceptions) so I think he have had enough wild cards already. So if either or both of AJ and FL is outside top 8, I say let Thomas H Jonasson have a go as a permanent wild card, after all he had very good performance in thus years SWC and was only 1p from qualifying in Lonigo. -
Bavarian, he should be punished because he broke the FIM & Wada anti-doping rules. Patryk Dudek got suspended from all speedway for 12 months for violating the same rules so Darcy should be punished in the same way.

MIke, the Elit Vetlanda track is actually not as slick as it looks. there is lots of material on the track but it is too loose (like a thick layer of rough sand) so there isn't really any grip on the outside. It will also cause a very heavy spray making it very difficult for the riders behind to pass. -
Why? It is not against the forum rules. You just have to accept that other forum members does not share your opinion. We have just as big right to express our opinion as your right to express yours. So I can say the same to you, stop with this forum policing thin t is not for you to decide what's allowed to be written on this forum. Harris having a fluke says more about the qualifying process then it says about Harris "merit". Many riders have qualified via the GP-challenge. Many of those have tried but failed to establish themselves as a regular in the GP-series. Most of them have realized when it's time to give up. So should Harris. What is the point in qualifying if you are going to be last in every GP anyway?

Indianerna will need 12-14p minimum after the first final. I think tomorrow's meeting will be very good but not Wednesday's meeting. The Vetlanda track rarely produces good racing. -

I don't doubt that, I just wanted a link to share/use as a source myself.

I think you mean Ole Olsen. He have retired as race director but is still responsible for the temporary tracks (except maybe Tammerfors?). It was indeed Anders Michanek.

Official attendance was about 16'000. https://mobile.twitter.com/BjornOldeen/status/515961735237603328 however i don't think it was that many. Looked more like around 10K to me. Decent GP. Ok performance from the Swedes but Lindgren doesnt have "it" when it matters. THJ was ok, just missed out on the semis but was able score points despite being last from the gate.yo
