A Quick Question For Our Swedish Friends
Ghostwalker replied to Paragon's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
I was thinking that as well, either hire one or perhaps even loan from someone you (Paragon) know? -
A Quick Question For Our Swedish Friends
Ghostwalker replied to Paragon's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Ok. I don't know either more then what it says at the link I posted. I guess you could always send a question to Trafikverket, they should know. https://webapp.trafikverket.se/e-tjanster/kundtjanst/?ref=road However I have seen info that there is a new EU-wide standard that all children under the age of 15 months will have to have rearward facing seats. http://www.britax.co.uk/safety-for-your-child/i-size-ece-label http://bilbarnztolar.se/i-size/ Current standard apparently only demands rearward facing seats for children aged 9 months or younger. But I don't know if the new law/standard is already in effect and if not when it will be introduced. However if your child is 15 months now, you should probably be allright at the time of the Grand Prix. -
Final results can be found in this link: https://www.facebook.com/ikarossmederna/posts/828636117229878 Meeting was aborted after heat 14 due broken airfence sections. They had spare sections but I think that the team managers and meeting director thought that it better to call it off then to let everybody wait for 15 minutes while they change the broken sections and then just run one heat. Best two heats were heat 10 and heat 14. Heat 10; Zorro and Antonio Lindbäck had an awesome fight, passing and repassing each other for 4 laps with Zorro eventually being the first across the line. Heat 14: A tight first bend with all 4 being close, Eventually Nicholls emerged with the lead, closely followed by Grigorij Laguta, Kenni had held onto his wide line and managed to pass Freddie Lindgren going out of the first bend. Then Laguta chased Nicholls for 3½ laps until Laguta managed to squeeze himself past Nicholls coming out of the final bend. Track was ok, but could have been better. Freddie Lindgren had two F/X but it was very un-dramatic and he got up and cleared the track immediately so the heats didn't have to be stopped.

Doesn't matter, Grigorij is here. Won by a mile ( or two ) in heat 7.Smederna is in the lead with 26-16. Freddie Lindgren seems to be in the need of support wheels though. He has had two F/x from 3 heats so far. Smederna's Linus Eklöf the only rider with a max so far. (5+1). Hey Alan, a pic for you. http://imgur.com/eZDWSv6

A Quick Question For Our Swedish Friends
Ghostwalker replied to Paragon's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
The law says that all children that have a height that is less then 135cm have to sit in a special protective seat such as baby seat, child seat and etc. However as far as I can see there are no demands for the seats to be rear-facing, only recommendations. In Sweden it is very common though since it is much safer then a forward facing seat. http://www.trafikverket.se/Privat/Trafiksakerhet/Din-sakerhet-pa-vagen/Sakerhet-i-bil/Barn-i-bil/#bakatvantarbast -

Polish Speedway - How Popular?
Ghostwalker replied to arnieg's topic in International World of Speedway
I guess it depends on the definition of popular. Swedish Elitserien is the 3rd most popular sports league in Sweden by attendance but when it comes to number of "athletes" it is a much smaller sport and no way near top 3 in popularity. -

Yes I can, most staff at a GP are non-paid volunteers. -
Speedway Champions League ?
Ghostwalker replied to PolskiZuzel's topic in International World of Speedway
Have the rules changed then? Because from what I remember it have "always" been so that the rider that is coming from behind should be declared the winner if there isn't possible to determine which riders who was first across the line. In this case THJ and KK was totally equal but THJ was declared winner because he was the one who was coming from behind. -
Speedway Champions League ?
Ghostwalker replied to PolskiZuzel's topic in International World of Speedway
Why is that allowed? Riders stopping outside the pits? Any rider not going directly back to the tapes should be Xed. Peter Ljung got greedy and lost it all. -
Speedway Champions League ?
Ghostwalker replied to PolskiZuzel's topic in International World of Speedway
very close but THJ should be awarded 3p since he was coming from behind, *edit yes I was correct. -

Speedway Champions League ?
Ghostwalker replied to PolskiZuzel's topic in International World of Speedway
Yep I was correct. http://www.speedwaynyheter.se/2015/04/23/wsl-lagen-officiella/ Elit Vetlanda (red) 1. Tai Woffinden 2. Tomas H Jonasson 3. Jaroslaw Hampel (K) 4. Janusz Kolodziej 5. Peter Ljung Holsted (blue) 1. Nicki Pedersen 2. Martin Vaculik 3. Rasmus Jensen 4. Nicolai Klindt 5. Damian Balinski Kings Lynn (white) 1. Piotr Protasiewicz 2. Kenneth Bjerre 3. Rory Schlein (K) 4. Nicklas Porsing 5. Robert Lambert Stal Gorzow (yellow) 1. Krzysztof Kasprzak 2. Niels-Kristian Iversen 3. Matej Zagar 4. Bartosz Zmarzlik 5. Linus Sundström Imo Gorzow will win this. Vetlanda looks good to but is much weaker with Ljung instead of Emil S. -
Speedway Champions League ?
Ghostwalker replied to PolskiZuzel's topic in International World of Speedway
Peter Ljung probably since Zmarzlik will ride Gorzow. -
I don't think it's cost of the kits they are afraid of but rather the other costs for the testing procedure. The testers need to be educated/licensed/appeoved/employed by the federation which also would appoint the testers to the meetings in the same way as with the referees. However that said, it should be manageable and I think it would be good to know that everyone is sober.

I doubt that Rasmus have become a Swedish citizen already, since he would have had to live here since he was 16 years old (2009, 5 years of residency required). So I think he still is just a Danish rider with a Swedish license. -
Yeah unless you find a way to access to the streams at csports. Who knows maybe someones will stream the other streams as well... Another " fight" in Swedish speedway. Young talent Oliver Berntzon said in a statement to the Swedish "newspaper" Aftonbladet that he thought it was wrong by Svemo to give Antonio another chance after his third drunk driving offence, that Svemo did wrong to give Antonio a place in the GP qualifiers instead of giving it Oliver. Oliver said that he thought that Antonio shouldnät ride another meter and that the entire speedway world sees Antonio as an alcoholic. As a result of that Masarna have said that they didn't want Oliver to ride for Smederna in this Thursdaay's pre-season test meeting in Avesta between Smederna and Masarna. Masarna thought it was inappropiate for him to ride so Smederna had too find another solution, http://www.aftonbladet.se/sportbladet/motor/speedway/article20644011.ab http://www.speedwaynyheter.se/vispen-stoppas-fran-match-i-avesta-men-valkommen-i-serien/

Antonio Lindbäck will be forced to be breathalysed before every meeting he rides in Sweden, this season. http://www.speedway-forum.co.uk/forums/index.php?showtopic=67537&page=60&&do=findComment&comment=2602611 Do you think the same should apply to Darcy Ward and do you think that it should apply to all riders?

But what about Rsasmus Jensen then? Who rode in the Danish SGP/SEC qualification event presumably on a DK license, but he also intends to use a Swedish license for Elitserien. http://sverigesradio.se/sida/artikel.aspx?programid=86&artikel=6009040 http://www.speedwaynyheter.se/dackarna-varvar-jensen-som-blir-svensk/ http://ekstrabladet.dk/sport/anden_sport/motorsport/speedway/veteran-og-talent-paa-vm-jagt/5527691 https://twitter.com/dmusport/status/589144683437240320
