Absolutely, but is is worth the sacrifice by not being home with your family more then maybe 1 day in the week?

I think speedway teams can have good team feel as well. Particular Smederna's riders have said that there is a good team spirit in the team. Even if the riders ride in different leagues on different days, the team manager (if skilled enough) can create a "we feel" in the team. I also see it as a good thing that the riders "doesn't know what the score is" (so they claim) since then they might be more focused on just riding. Personally I do think the riders have a pretty good idea about the score, maybe not the exact numbers but large/small lead/trail or more or less even.

Well compared to last season there is a small difference (~180 average) which can be explained by the unusual bad weather with lot's of postponed meetings. In general the attendance have been pretty stable for quite many years with some fluctuations in both directions from one season to another. Also have in mind that most teams are located outside the bigger cities. Of the 15 biggest cities/municipalities in Sweden, only Eskilstuna (14th biggest,Smederna) is the only one to have a team in Elitserien. Stockholm (biggest city and capital) have a team in div1, Malmö (3rd biggest) have team that finished last in Allsvenskan. Second city Göteborg haven't had a team in almost 10 years. 4th city Uppsala's nearest team is 60km away on a fairly narrow/unstraight country side road. Linköping (5) used to have a team in Div1 but they dropped their 500cc team due to being unable to afford an airfence. 6th city Örebro have team about 50km south in Kumla, then 9th city Norrköping have an Allsvenskan team (Vargarna). Also have in mind that the (relevant*) population of Sweden is about 35% smaller then the population of Metropolitan London... *the population in Norrland (12% of the population) except Gävle (about 100k population) is not relevant due to the large distances to the nearest league track.

Regarding Emil's arm, I've seen comments that it was just dislocated so I can see why someone night mistake that for a broken arm. So initially the involved parties might have thought that arm was broken but it later turned out to be a dislocation.

You gotta wonder if this is the same Antonio that hardly scored a point in the GP-challenge?
-
Didn't look particular broken?

He has a brother as well. They used to ride in Elitserien too. IIRC one rode for Piraterna and the other fir Rospiggarna.

Superb ride by Lindbäck.

Disagree, had it been the opposite situation. The two faced grin and his "associates" as well as half of the speedway world would have have screamed their throats sore in telling everyone how dirty that was. How many times haven't other riders done the same against Nicki with NP being excluded for it? Piotr didn't intend to push Nicki off but he was too late and the gap wasn't there.

Piotr Pawlicki will replace Tomaz Gollob who is resting after a back surgery.

Who Should Get The Gp Wild-card Spots For 2016?
Ghostwalker replied to Electric6's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
I think Grigorij have declined and as for Artem, he tried a few years ago and didn't do well, perhaps he was a little inexperienced back then. He also had to skip Cardiff round due to (what was claimed) Visa issues. -
Torun Gp Tickets
Ghostwalker replied to markw40's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Pawelek is a local rider, finished 2md in the Torun round of SEC this season so I think it is a very good and logical choice, especially since Zmarzlik were a wild card at Gorzow. -

It seems that Andreas Jonsson is one of three parties that have put in a bid on Polonia Bydgoszcz speedway club which is for sale. https://translate.google.com/translate?sl=auto&tl=en&js=y&prev=_t&hl=sv&ie=UTF-8&u=http%3A%2F%2Fsportowefakty.wp.pl%2Fzuzel%2F547680%2Fandreas-jonsson-chce-kupic-polonie-bydgoszcz&edit-text=

Sure we are, bronze in 1994 world cup and 2x gold this year in the men's Euro U21 and Women's Euro U19 (third win since 1999 and second win since 2012). When was the last time England won a medal at football world cup? In Sweden, the admission price is 160-180SEK (£17-19). --- I think that the picture of Swedish speedway in this thread isn't entirely correct. Both Sweden and Poland have issues. In Poland C-towa went bankrupt last year and this year Zielona Gora is on the verge of bankruptcy with large debts. Then two teams fighting for promotion might not take the step up due to costs and/or other matters. In Sweden most Elitserien teams/clubs also have a hard time financially, especially this season where many teams have had many rained off meetings which have costed the teams allot of money. This season we only had 7 teams which meant that each team only had 6 home meetings in the series. For next season it will be 8 teams since Masarna is expected to step up from Allsvenskan to Elitserien for next season. However allot of new rules have been decided about and the biggest difference is that the average cap have been lowered from 10,250 (41) to 9,500 (38). Some of the biggest differences is the structure and organization of Swedish speedway which basically is the same as for all other sports in Sweden. At the top you have Riksidrottsförbundet ->Svemo->League Association/clubs. Svemo is the governing body which handles everything that has to do with speedway, long track, grass/sand track and ice racing, Clubs are not owned by a promoter but by themselves. According to RF rules, the parent club of a incorporated team have to own at least 51% of the shares. Tracks are owned by the clubs or by the kommun. The only exception is Hagfors (Tallhult) which is privately owned. Basically everything goes through Svemo, squad declarations (deadline is December 1st), lineup declarations (deadline is at 8/9pm two days before the meeting), licenses, rules, averages, live results...

Emil have stated several times that he does want to ride in the SGP.
