  1. Piraterna - Indianerna moved to Wednesday, Holder and Iversen will therefore miss semi final 1.
  2. Unfortunately the weather forecasts doesn't look good. Also Nicki Pedersen have announced that he will not ride tomorrow.
  3. Swedish "Play-offs" 2015. Elitserien semi-finals: Elit Vetlanda (1) - Dackarna (4) and Indianerna (2) -Piraterna (3) This Tuesday (September 1st) Piraterna-Indianerna Piraterna Greg Hancock Victor Palovaara Chris Holder Patryk Dudek Piotr Pawlicki Daniel Davidsson Fredrik Engman Indianerna Antonio Lindbäck Artem Laguta Piotr Protasiewicz Fredrik Lindgren Niels-Kristian Iversen Joel Andersson Mikkel Bech Will be very close, possibly a slight advantage for Indianerna. Piraterna defeated Indianerna with 12p a few weeks ago, but neither team was full strength, Piraterna didn't have Piotr Pawlicki and Indianerna didn't have Artem Laguta and Piotr Protasiewicz. Indianerna won the first meeting by 6p but R/R for Lindgren, Nicholls instead of Artem and Rory Schlein on the reserve. Piraterna didn't have Darcy.. Dackarna-Elit Vetlanda Dackarna Michael Jepsen Jensen* ** Jason Doyle* ** Krzyszof Buczkowski* ** Joonas Kylmäkorpi R/R / Hans Andersen ** Nicki Pedersen / Hans Andersen ** Mikael Max* ** Robin Aspegren* ** Elit Vetlanda Tai Woffinden Peter Ljung Emil Sayfutdinov Tomas H Jonasson Bartosz Zmarzlik Kenny Wennerstam Rune Holta Dackarna's team is about uncertain at the moment. Joonas is confirmed as not riding. Nicki would decide Tuesday am. If he doesn't ride Hans Andersen will have to come in for either Nicki or Joonas. Nicki said in a comment to a Danish newspaper that he have a loss of memory from the actual crash and the first few moments afterwards. Imo it would be reckless by him to try and ride just 3 days after banging his head in the way he did yesterday. *=R/R for Joonas, **=R/R for Nicki. ---------------- Lineups for final 1 Tuesday Sep. 15th, Indianerna - Elit Vetlanda Live on Eurosport 2, 6pm UK time. This weeks main meeting is Dackarna-Indianerna. Eurosport 2 UK is scheduled to show it live from 6pm UK time on Tuesday, continental ESP will not show it at all (not even highlights) as far as I can see. Next week, it will be live on ESP 1 UK from 6p, UK time but again not on continental Eurosport. I have not been able to locate a stream. The usual sites have nothing listed.
  4. Munkebo have now been approved as a host for Superfinalen which will take place on September 9th at 18.00 Danish time. http://speedway-league.com/nyheder/ http://www.fyens.dk/sport/Speedwayens-Superfinale-koeres-i-Munkebo/artikel/2774840
  5. Zmarzlik will be in the GP-challenge next week so he have a good chance of qualifying.
  6. Nicki Pedersen was taken to hospital where they were to do a CT scan of his head due to a suspected concussion. http://www.vimmerbytidning.se/article/articleview/66150/1/159
  7. Nicki did the right thing to withdraw from the meeting. WWouldhhave been dangerous to continue. Also think that this was the last championship straw disappearing for Nicki. Grin might also pass him in the standings.
  8. Possibly collarbone or concussion or something like that.
  9. Surely you don't expect the ref to exclude someone of the untouchables? Especially not in the first bend.
  10. I have a week memory of seeing Grigorij Laguta use it.
  11. Patryk Dudek will replace Darcy Ward in Piraterna. http://www.speedwaynyheter.se/2015/08/28/dudek-in-i-piraterna/
  12. Maybe to some extent, at least those who ride in England as well as in two or three more leagues. I general I think it is a bad idea to forbid riders from earning a living and I also think that the EU would possible crack down on it as they could see it as a restriction of work or similar which would be against the EU rules. Basically you cannot restrain a EU-citizens from taking a job in another EU-country. It is pretty much the same as when FIA "tried" to ban SGP-riders from also riding in the SEC. IIRC, there is thread (started by me) somewhere in the general/news section about a similar suggestion from FIA. Since the EL itself has 2-3 meetings per week, a restriction of 3 meetings per week would be difficult. There wouldn't be any riders available since "everyone" would have hit the limit on Wednesday already if they apart from EL also would be riding in Sweden or Denmark. Pol and SGP/SEC wouldn't be possible, I don't think there would be any problems for the riders to do Elitserien (Tu) DK (We) or + Allsvenskan (Th) + GP/SEC (Sa) and Polad (Su). It would give them 3-4 days "off" per week. It is when you add EL/PL into the equation that the problems arises. Then add possible postponed meetings to that and a 3 meeting limit would be more or less impossible. Sure I agree with your sentiment that some riders maybe gets a little too exhausted from all travelling back and forth but I However one thing that both riders and FIM/national federations could look into is how to deal with injured riders. Too many injured riders are riding/making comeback too early despite that they should be at home healing their injuries. Many riders just seems to consider it a matter of enduring the pain. Any rider that suffered a concussion should be forced to rest for at least 1 week. The same goes for any rider who uses a medical note so that his team can use R/R. If R/R for medical reasons then automatically 7 days rest. Possible also requirement for medical clearance for those who have been injured for a longer period of time (3-4 week or longer).
  13. meeting eventually started and Munkebo managed to win with 46-41 after being down by 12p at the most.
  14. A referee threatened to cancel the meeting between Munkebo and Esbjerg unless Munkebo immediately put some flood lights up. Eventually Munkebo managed to borrow some lights normally used a construction sites and put them on the inner field protected by hay bals (balls?) However the referee was not impressed since temporary solutions both poses a safety risk as well as well as obstructing the view. Munkebo claimed that they had received approval from a DMU official but DMU claims that they hadn't approved it. The article doesn't say if the meeting was held or postponed. http://www.fyens.dk/sport/Munkebo-tvunget-til-at-fjerne-lyssaetning/artikel/2772901#sportfyn
  15. Yes and no. A team cannot sign new riders for the play offs but they can, anytime during the season, replace a rider that is projected to be out for at least 4 weeks. Then there is some limits regarding averages and etc. However Janowski's average from last season is lower then Darcy's average so that should be possible.
  16. As it have been said already, reducing power is itself not a good idea since that is one of the current issues. If you reduce power then the bikes will struggle even more to ride on anything else then super slick tracks and that would be very boring to watch. The solution would rather be to make sure the bikes have more torque on lower rpms. As it is now the bikes requires more or less full throttle to function properly. If you don't give enough gas the bikes will lift or stop sliding with crashes as a result.
  17. I don't know about the UK tracks but 8 years ago Kenny Olsson crashed at Kråkvilan in Norrköping and later died at the hospital.
  18. The way as some of the Swedish riders do, and that is by working.
  19. All 6 play off meetings will be televised. Indianerna chooses to start in Motala next week. So that makes : September 1st Dackarna - Elit Vetlanda and Piraterna - Indianerna. September 8th Elit Vetlanda - Dackarna and Indianerna - Piraterna Primary tv-meeting next week have not been decided yet.
  20. "Play off" selections : next week : Dackarna - Elit Vetlanda, not known yet if Indianerna chooses to start at home or away.
  21. The referee is having a bad hair day. Two bad calls. Superb pass by Michelsen. H15 Engman and Greg for Piraterna, Przemyslaw Pawlicki and Michelsen for Smederna. Possibly Zorro's last Elitserien meeting?
