  1. Sensible decision. I agree, AJ could have taken this decision a week ago.
  2. Not until later today/tonight His plan is to practice in Hallstavik tonight and then decide if he thinks he can ride tomorrow.
  3. The speedway sport in general. Or perhaps you mean that it's negative for the sport to receive sponsor money, TV-exposure?
  4. Västervik have won the Allsvenskan final. It remains to see if they are willing to take the step up.
  5. A pic of the stadium: https://twitter.com/philmorrisgb/status/778984594880225280
  6. As far as I know, Nicki have been given a wild card once before. But it's not like Freddie Lindgren, Chris Harris or Andreas Jonsson.
  7. Absolutely right and it will take quite a few years for new series to settle. Not that many years ago the Rallycross European championship series was considered to be " a mickey mouse championship" that not many cared about. Today it has evolved into a global world championship with several international motorsport stars in the lineup.
  8. Judging by what he says, he should be stopped from riding. He will be too big risk to the others and to himself, especially on a temporary track that likely will be "less then smooth" compared to lets say how Vojens normally is prepared.
  9. 2-3 months with a neck brace for Nicki. http://www.jv.dk/artikel/2386441:Sport--Nicki-Pedersen-skal-gaa-med-nakkekrave
  10. Lindbäck signed a three year deal with Masarna, http://www.aftonbladet.se/sportbladet/motor/speedway/article23562480.ab
  11. I'd say. Let Emil try to qualify on his own and if there some of that stuff PR mentions well then we can consider giving him a wild card.
  12. Don't blame Onesoirt, blame BSI who demanded that OS shouldn't be allowed to usse national teams.
  13. Correct. The article have been updated and his season is over since he have broken the no 6 vertebrae in the neck.
  14. WembleyLion, as for the bottled still water I don't think that you would be able to find that at a Swedish track either, Afaik, only slightly ccarbonated water is available since people don't buy bottled still water.
  15. Michael Jepsen Jensen Also for those of you who are ccoming to Stockholm, there is a very special meeting on Sunday when Magnus-ZORRO-Zetterström will have his goodbye meeting at Smederna's track ooutside Eskilstuna. It's a little over a one hour drive from Stockholm. You can also travel by train to Eskilstuna and go with the bus provided by Tuna Trafik. http://www.speedway-forum.co.uk/forums/index.php?showtopic=82492
  16. It seems that a minimum three week pause is needed for Nicki. http://www.fyens.dk/sport/Nicki-Pedersens-styrt-Kan-faa-grandprix-konsekvenser/artikel/3071687
  17. Won't happen as long as BSPA have a say. Possibly influenced by BSI as well?
  18. Yeah you are right. ..and there is this Sajfutdinov guy.
  19. That's really bad. Hopefully he will recover in time for next season.
  20. Swedish speedway fans are very upset with Viasat/viaplay who have the rights to the Polish league (and play offs) this season. They have advertised that Swedish speedway fans can watch two meetings live on Viaplay every Sunday. Initially everything was fine but after a while Viaplay stopped broadcasting and didn't start again until customers started to complain. Then come play offs Viasat only showed the first semi final claiming that they didn't have the rights or something like that. Tomorrow is the first final and currently Viaplay how no intention of showing it,again claiming that they don't have the rights. http://www.speedwaynyheter.se/2016/09/17/kronika-oseriost-oseriosare-viaplay/ Imo, Viaplay have handled it badly (by lying) but I understand that they stopped because, likely, the view figures weren't high enough, something Swedish speedway fans generally are very poor at understanding. It is the same when a GP broadcast is delayed by a Formula One broadcast, the fans have no understanding that F1 is much more popular then speedway. Naturally F1 will bring in more advertisement money but apparently most speedway fans seems to think that speedway is bigger/more important then F1.

  22. The true oracle of speedway and Smederna's "walking talker" Stephen "Zetters" Zetterwall will become 50 years old tomorrow. http://ekuriren.se/personligt/1.4373628-stephen-zetterwall-tank-att-det-skulle-ta-47-ar-innan-man-blev-sambo- His forum name is zetters.
