I did read an FB post that claimed that Freddie said he had not been asked but obviously could just be an NDA.

It's true that they have withdrawn and that they have financial issues. They have had issues with the track for years and while still decent crowds they have had a lack enough sponsorship.

New rules for 2027 in addition to previously announced changes: Körschema enligt samma modell som säsongen 2026. Officiellt löpande snitt baseras på 12 heat och inplacering i laget. 4 st riders replacement oavsett matchdag i grundserien. Riders 1-5 på laganmälningsdagen officiella löpande snitt (12 heat). Varje lag tilldelas fem (5) transferkort. De fyra bästa förare inkl. bonus kvalificerar sig till nomineringsheatet. Taksnitt 10,750. Golvsnitt 8,000. Slutspel Kvartsfinalserien samma som 2026. Semifinaler ingen serie utan bäst av två matcher går till final. Final bäst placerad lag i grundserien väljer att börja hemma eller borta. Truppsammansättning 7-mannasnitt över 1,249 ska ha minst en (1) utländsk U21-förare registrerad i truppen. Ytterligare en utländsk U21-förare får tillföras truppen efter 28/2 under pågående säsong fram till sista dagen för transferkort. Exakt datum meddelas när tävlingskalendern för 2027 är fastställd. (Denna förare räknas samma regel som han vore anmäld den 28 februari). Lagsammasättning Varje lag ska ha minst två (2) U21-förare i sin trupp, varav minst en (1) ska vara Svemo-licensierad. Thomsen finished 11th on 62p from 9 rounds. Kvech finished 13th on 52p from 7 rounds that makes about 7,2p/round to Thomsen and about 7.4 p/round for Kvech.

With MJJ and Madsen already qualified I doubt they will give a wc to bring a third Date in.

Lets stick to one topic.

Sweden is possible 12 June. Målilla's ended after this season and Västervik's first isn't until 2028. This leaves no contracted club/track for 2027. I think Målilla was offered to host 2027 as well but at the time (just after this year's GP in Målilla) they said that they needed to think about it. If the weather is like it was this year it will be a great event however Målilla is, due it's location on the southern Sweden highland, quite rain prone as we have seen during the years.

Congratulations to Robert and all British speedway fans for Robert's WC title. He, Dan and Bfady will hopefully have many more WC title fights the next 10 years. Hopefully some more fresh faces will will be in the race as well.

Some news for next season. Bartosz previously stated that he wouldn't do Sweden next season but has now changed his mind. He will only do some meetings though (fewer than this season). Oliver Berntzon stays with Indianerna.

A new European style track is also being built the USA. Spain might be suitable during the winter, but Spain is a very hot and dry country so perhaps not that suitable to speedway.

Valsarna who won the Allsvenskan final have decided to stay in Allsvenskan for another year.

Reports on Freddie by his wife says severe concussion so I would assume he is doubtful for Torun.

As me Kim already qualified, but there is also tonight's crash to take into account. Freddie have just come back from injury and now crashed heavily again. Like with Tai Freddie is not a youngster anymore (41 on Tuesday) and his body can only cope with so many injuries. Will this be the last we of him before retirement? I don't see him having a realistic chance of him being world champion so not much to prove. I would agree with Bewley, Holder and Kvech as wild cards. SGP2 winner Mikkel Andersen and Norwegian talent Mattias Pollestad aren't ready yet but I can see both being in by '29.
