  1. Combination, good rider, good engine, brilliant set up, combined with a good tuner. The engine itself is only part of the factor, not any good without the other factors as well.
  2. An engine cannot be too fast, if the bike is correctly set up, the set up will control the power
  3. Not sure, but I am sure he said he was using his old engine from last year, having problems with new engine apparently
  4. Ludvig is trying out a new Steam Engine this season
  5. The UK went right, look at the mess we are in now, should have stuck to the left
  6. According to rumours, there was that type of capacity on Saturday. However ignoring the rumours and a little bit of exageration, it was a very healthy crowd on Sat, lots of visitors from other Northern clubs.
  7. Nah !, I think the bungalows at the entrance should be demolished, and a dual carriage way built in the entrance.
  8. Covers not down, cos footie on at Shielfield this afternoon, still light rain, been like it all day. Forecast was to clear by lunchtime, but still the same at moment.
  9. I was right all along, Lidl & Aldi, sell crap to the gullable Brits.
  10. Never mind the Gaters, watch out for Davey Meldrum, especially if going to Tampa
  11. Warm snow, oooooooooooo thats rain I think, that stuff tat is comimg down at the moment.
  12. Did the land around the stadium not have outline planning permission for housing, and the problems for the stadium would have been the close proximity to housing and the associated noise.
  13. Only if they want to, after all it is their property
  14. I would imagine that Ashfield is part of The Faccennas property port-folio, and they rent it to Glasgow Tigers, who in this case is themselves. That makes good in sense in tax terms.
  15. The incentives for kids in many speedway tracks is to be commended, Glasgow have done a good a job, as Berwick has as well. It is notable that at Berwick the amount of kids getting in for free, in the hope that they will be the next generation attending speedway meetings. However, there is little evidence that these young fans remain when they get older and become paying fans, the trick is to hold their interest, again only time will tell.
  16. The interesting thing on the capacity of a ground, is, you have to fill that capacity, and that is certainly hard to do in speedway nowadays. It does appear that the fan base is very much an ageing one with little interest from the younger generation. Berwick has more than adequate capacity, but seriously struggles to take up that capacity. In Glasgows case I di wonder if changing to a Saturday was a wise decision, but only time will tell
  17. Basic costs, stadium rent , emergency cover etc, the rest goes to the Ben Fund, and so it should
