  1. That is what is so frustrating, I believed he would do well at Berwick, sadly has not delivered, can Scunthorpe afford to take a risk on such a tempramental rider, might be brilliant but might take a huffy and be sh*te
  2. You are right, it will get sorted, like the 2 names in the frame at the moment, still think 2 more changes is needed.
  3. My only comment on that, 'The track is perfect', nothing is perfect not even me. The track is massively improved on recent seasons, seems to have a problem with the start, but most certainly it is much much better, with the exception of Vissing, the riders like the track.
  4. To be honest, if the riders were available, I would make 4 changes, no use carrying dead wood and under performing riders. The new management really needs to show they have a grip on the situation, the amount of people who told me they were not coming back after Saturdays performance, was to say the least alarming. Many were old die-hards, who have put up with with what we have been served for the last few seasons. Until Saturday we have had very good racing, we had a bad night on Saturday caused by rider attitude in general, so a little early to walk away.
  5. A reliable source said Vissing refused to ride in heat 15 Also Berge scores 8 for Scunny, taking tjhe piss or what
  6. We have hardly won a meeting up here, but we have had some really good racing at all of the meetings, to be honest the best racing in a very long time consistently. It's not always about winning, get your back side up to Berwick, good racing with some of the in best fans in the sport
  7. Because of the way he is sponsored, I wonder how much he gets involved in his set up on a meeting by meeting basis, does he work on the bike himself, or does he just hope his pit crew get it right.
  8. Something at the start has changed, none of our team are getting out of the gate well. As you say if Bridger can sort his gating, or the gate improved to suit our riders including him when gating. I still thing Berge can come good, lets hope the management can work with him to sort his problems. Just had a rider in, really pleased with track this season so far, he said it's the same every week, last year he said you never knew what you were getting it was different every week. I am sure that most fans are aware of the way the track was in previous seasons, but nice to hear from a rider.
  9. That means the rider to go is Blacklock, will LIam be below 2,99 to fit an at No7 and does he qualify. wonder if we will have enough points to bring in another journeyman like Pjiper
  10. To be honest, when Danni moves into main body of time and Liam goes back to reserve, it may sort that problem. Just need to sort Berge and Bridgers problems
  11. Should really have posted this here Lads & Lassies, lets get a grip. Don't agree with Dick and his many aliases, when it comes sniping about 'The Forum Fannies', they have an opinion and are entitled too it. I do however agree with some of his opinion in the programme about what we have now, just a pity didn't air his view previously when it had been so bad, I always believe in saying it even if some don't like it. 1. We have speedway 2, We have a much improved track ( been pants for quite a few seasons, of late) 3. We have at good crowds at the moment, may that support long continue, it had dwindled to what can only have been unsustainable. 4. We have had some of the best racing in recent memory, have to go back at least 10 years for this level of entertainment. I know we are not winning, but I have been entertained every week with some very good racing, certainly worth my entry fee. The team has a few problems at present, let's give the management time to sort them out, let's see if the riders problems can be solved before we start changes, knee jerk reactions are not always the answer. The way I see it, the riders that are having problems, if we dropped them, who do we replace them with, everything available is about the same as we have now, no top end riders, and certainly no bottom end riders. Stick with it Lads & Lassies, the management is new and on a learning curve, they will overcome the problems. Remember speedway so far at Shielfield this season, is better than you have been served in recent seasons.

  13. Points out how little there is out there. Wonder if the French idea of running a 250cc rider in the team would be, would certainly bring up and coming talent through, but, even there would be a shortage of riders
  14. I did put the comma in . as for keeping up with Paulco, NO CHANCE
  15. We used to have a good name in Czech, but in recent years the Czech riders with the exception of Matej Kus have not been treated respectfully at Berwick, the nail in the coffin was Hynek Sticheur. However every Czech I know, think the fans at Berwick are fantastic, it shows when we visit CZ
  16. If he did , they are still second hand engines, does not matter who owned them Cannot see Czechs signing for Berwick, Berwick does not have a good name over there at the moment. Would need a good PR team to go over and convince them otherwise, and a large wallet. Got to agree, the club has talked it's ability to change up, and have delivered with the infrastructure so far. We have had such a bad track for the last 6 to 8 years, and is now massively improved, and am sure it's development is on going. If the management has skills to improve on the team side, they need to put it together and act now, they have "talked the talk", now lets see them "walk the walk" Sadly, I thought the team didn't have structure from the beginning, but was hoping to be proved wrong, nearly every rider had an "IF" against them.
  17. Interesting you have dropped The Gapp, probably been the most consistant, doing his job and getting better
  18. TJ is water under the bridge, what happened has happened. I suppose the question is where do we go from here, easy to say drop riders, what do you replace them with. Looking at what is available would end up with a team much the same as we have now. The talent is already signed, and in general only journeymen left, fine to use if you have injuries.
