  1. Cloud base lifted big time, can see the outline of the big yellow thing in the sky, looking likely
  2. I would describe the weather at the moment ,as rain interspersed with showers
  3. Dunno about the rain easing off it is very steady and heavier at the moment. The only problem I see is when the covers are taken off all the water on them has to go somewhere, the only place is on the track. FINGERS CROSSED
  4. We had no football or rain or even sunshine for the last meeting, still managed to c*ck it up. So lets hope for a return to the very good track prep up until then this season, the best in about 8 years
  5. Banditos coming to get you pal, lots of drink and Berwick gets its 1st win this season in the league
  6. Thats where the problem arose, he was signed as a No2 not a reserve, they probably thought he would kick on this season, he certainly talked himself up during the winter. You are right a capable No7, is that what the club needed, or a No7 that will advance, don't think they achieved that with any of our No 7 signings
  7. I will be happy if they don't cock the track up like the last meeting
  8. MAY, this is an important word, sounds that it is a discretionary decision, and that they have used their discretion.
  9. Vissing was a good rider, but had a rubbish attitude, was capable of scoring double figures on a regular basis
  10. Don't know what all the fuss is about, not exactly strengthened the team, Howe and Morris are only like for like with Vissing and Berge, and Etheridge weakens the team at No 2, Payne is not a massive step up either.
  11. Bandits have a team (business) to run, Liam was not cutting the mustard, decisions had to be made, biggest complaint in the stands was why he had not been replaced. Not even sure about Payne & Etheridge, not much of an improvement, but with Howe it certainly stengthens the middle order. As I said earlier I hope Liam gets his confidence back.
  12. Howe in and Carr out, is a good move under the circumstances. Good luck to Liam at Birmingham, hope he gets his confidence back.
  13. In this case, I think Vissing was making unrealistic demands about the track, he walked, not the clubs fault. Many on here have said over the years you cannot prepare the track for one rider. Good track this season until last weeks fiasco, Vissing did not agree.
  14. I would have either of the Worrals at Berwick anytime
  15. Saturday was just embarrassing, especially after the fiasco the week before which was not the fault of the club, with one rider spitting the dummy and the other just not willing to ride.. For them to have prepared a track so badly is unforgivable, the person responsible, should either be re-trained or sacked. The track prep has been very good this season, the best we have had in the last 5 or 6 seasons, then they prepare a track that was bordering on being dangerous. Lets hope a big lesson has been learnt, and it will not happen again.
  16. Worded that badly, the club does not need an excuse and nor does Danny, I think that is what I was trying to say, circumstances dictate the outcome of tonight. Perhaps the club via it's web site should have clarified the situation much earlier, too late now we are where we are.
  17. It is my understanding, that the club was made aware of this meeting in Austria when Danny signed for Berwick, so no excuses needed.
  18. According to his landlady, he flies out after the Ipswich meeting, and will return next Thursday back from Austria
