  1. Always use Met Office, as you are correct it is the source from which the other providers use
  2. Footy on , covers not allowed, raining now ,forecast says to clear by lunchtime
  3. Think you are wrong on Dennis and Scott, they are both promoters, not down as Managers this season, I cannot think of any time this season they have taken on the role, might be wrong though.. Like you had doubts about Bridger, Vissing is a selfish rider not a team man, which proved to be true. On Berge I think he has talent, but he needs a management that can bring out that talent, someone to nurture him, I am not sure that is what we have at Berwick. Doolan is what he is a good 2nd string and a very good Captain.
  4. One Manager and an Assistant Manager to be fair. As I said before, I don't think the team was right from the outset, thought there were too many ifs about it, good changes were made mainly due to injury but in due course they were injured, only one rider in the team has not been on the injury list this season. The manager should have replaced Payne long ago, just don't understand that, could be as simple as everyone they contacted did not want to ride for us, who knows, apart from the management. In fear of repeating myself, the track is miles away from what we have suffered in recent seasons, there has been some really good racing. Unfortunately, due to the weaknesses of our team set up, we are not on the winning end of the meeting. It would be nice to win every week at home, with a very close meeting 46--44 is an ideal score for me, keeps you on the edge of your seat. I will repeat myself, are those fans that must win, doesn't matter how boring, are they so fickle, or like myself, who are paying to be entertained and getting good value for money. I want to be entertained, and I am being so.
  5. Welcome back, little bit out of order though. Only running with 2 guests is welcome of late, if I have a comment Payne should have been replaced long ago but Lawson is a good replacement for our injured No1. Havn't seen you at Berwick for a while, but the racing has been very good this season, track prep is much better than in previous years, been some very good meetings. OK our team was never right from the outset, but due to injuries not been able to strengthen up, Morris And Howe should have done the job, damned injuries again. As I said Payne should have been replaced long ago.though. AS for pies those Scots things ARE NOT PIES
  6. NO to Tungate. very hitty missy around Berwick , only 40 points to use if you do any changes mid season
  7. You must agree however, that Dick uses his page to have a go at those who use social media to air their views, legitimate or not, as he did this week. If you take this weeks comments in isolation, then you have a point, but if you take it in the round, you do not. The hypocrisy is that he uses the same social media to air his own views under his many aliases.
  8. I wasn't going to go on Saturday, bit under the weather, managed it and really glad I did. Was a really poor start from Berwick but the fight back was impressive, heat 15 showed our serious weakness. I WAS ENTERTAINED that is what it is about worth every penny of £15, a much better result than I anticipated, I was still tucked up in bed by 11.30, rare for me on a Saturday. On a different tack, was reading Dick's rant in the programme on the complaints on social media from the fan base, a bit rich from someone that has used and abused social media under his many guises for such a long time. It is unlikely that that any promotion is going to keep it's loyal fan base fully informed, as sensible as that may be. This will always lead to speculation where the wrong ideas manifest themselves. The one I hear from fans the most is the Bridger situation, seems to be for ever extending his stay of absence, at least the club made a temporary replacement. The problem here I think is many fans are aware of non speedway events that are affecting his quick return to speedway, here is a case where it would be an advantage for the club to be up front with the fans, and not leave it to speculation. Saturday night was a perfect example of the rumour mill running riot on where is Havvy.
  9. Sorry ! thought you had stopped, as you don;t have the shakes
  10. To be fair Berwick this season is a massive improvement on the last 8 years of processional racing. I have been entertained and have been getting my £15 worth, OK the team was never very good this season from the outset, some of the changes have been good like Morris and Howe, the amount of injuries certainly hasn't helped. If you don't get it right at the beginning, then a Saturday club like Berwick will struggle to put it right when all the talent has been snapped up. The question I suppose is, do you pay £15 to be entertained, win or lose, or do you pay £15 to see your team win but be bored rigid. I think I will be entertained.. would be nice to win as well though, even occasionally.
  11. Announced on Facebook, Garry Flint will take on the role of Assistant Manager, as well as his other duties
  12. My understanding is that a club has to have a certain asset base to operate, when a club is sold or transferred the asset base will be part of that deal. So assets belong to the club and not the promoter allowing it to comply with the rules. Dont think we have sold Pepe
  13. Thought those shirts were standard issue over in Cumbria
  14. Join the Berwick problems pal, good luck in finding riders
  15. I was being sarcastic , Mattey on a Matej no comparison
  16. In the 250cc European Final, Leon came 5th, Jason 10th and Jordan 16th. Leon had to win his last ride to get a run off for 3rd, but in the first running of Heat 20 got wiped out by a Polish rider. After about 10 minutes to recover, Leon did everything he could to win the rerun, but just missed out by the width of a tyre. Leon ended up with 11 points, Jason 6 points and Jordan 2. The final was won by Sweden's Phillip Hellstrom who after a 5 ride maximum in his Semi Final, again went unbeaten in the Final and deserved his win. A very well done to all 3 lads!
  17. In the final Leon came 5th overall, scored 11 points on countback. I understand he got T Boned by a young Pole in one of the heats. A massive well done to him
  18. To be fair, if i ran a club, I would not allow any of my riders to ride in testimonials mid season, just in case. In truth they should be held at the end of the season
