  1. Absolutely not, doubling up was a stupid idea that has caused many of the problems, it simply has not worked to benefit speedway. It is of little use to stick ones heads under the blankets, and simply hope it will sort itself out, it will not. Sort out the problem or suffer the consequences. There is little difference between Premiership and Championship nowadays, so one big restructured league, and retain a development league to feed the new league
  2. I think the clubs , that is owners and promoters, need to get their heads out of the proverbials and smell the coffee. They are the problem, speedway needs radical change, and they are the only ones that can change it. So unless they come to terms with they are the problem, then yes speedway is doomed
  3. Doubling up, is one of the major problems, needs to be got rid of. could you imagine a Glasgow Rangers player doubling up with Celtic, i's a bl**dy nonsense. Nick Morris riding for Berwick and doubling up with Swindon, the two teams meet each other in the play offs, who does he ride for Put a number on that,25% of what figure. 4 fans attend 25% increase there are now 5 attending
  4. https://www.youtube.com/user.MisiuMen Takes you straight on to site
  5. Really proud of Leon Flint last night. The only Brit to go through to the final on Thursday' 3rd overall in his semi final, scored 0...3...3...3...3... Kyle Bickley scored 4 in the same semi, JPB came off went to hospital in his semi
  6. Strange comment, we have had processional racing for 8 years and was it not Ian ( Razor) doing the track for that whole period. The track has generally been better this season, with just a few hic ups on the way.
  7. Gates have fallen in latter weeks, partly to with Southern clubs visiting. A lot have not returned since the heat 15 fiasco against Glasgow, undoing all the good work that was done preciously, in fact you havn't stood with your pal on the 3rd bend since that meeting.
  8. No argument the youngsters are coming along FOR FREE, there is little evidence they remain at the important time for the club, WHEN THEY START TO PAY. If they don't continue to come and pay then all the effort is in vain.Look around the stands, there is a big void between the under 16s and the OLD FARTS
  9. The flaw in your argument, it is the old farts like you and too a lesser extent me, who pay to attend every week, the kids are free. So without the old fart to support speedway financially, there will no speedway for the youngster to go to in the future.
  10. I suppose common sense goes out of the window when someone has an opinion, time to sit down and listen to each other
  11. Simply YES, if I was in the same trouble as British Speedway, I would take as much advice as necessary to put it right.. If I don't give my customers what they want, my business is down the pan.
  12. As it is a closed club, unlikely they will let outsiders in, promoters are too locked up in their own bubble to even listen to the fans.
  13. I see where you are coming from, I didn't go to this meeting, I got home, and do you know what I couldn't be ars*d. Now when I die hard like me does that you know something is wrong, I know of at least 6 diehards that no longer attend, havn't been since the debarcle of heat 15 against Glasgow, it really pi**ed them off.
  14. Very easy to blame one person like Buster Chapman, but I would say every promoter is equally to blame, the Chairman is only one part of a whole, and it is the whole lot of them that are to blame.
  15. Nobody hates P/Boro, someone has made a few boobs, the answer is to correct them, stupid BSPA rules have not helped CAREFUL DOWN THERE, YOU COULD BE CUTTING YOUR NOSE OFF TO SPITE YOUR FACE PROMOTER MIGHT JUST WALK AWAY
  16. Trouble is for Glasgow, paying top dollar for mediocre riders, makes them all think they are worth it. The Championship needs a pay scale adhered too by every club, with no doubling up, by allowing it spoils the sport for every other club If a rider needs to double up Premiership on a Monday in the UK, Sweden on a Thursday and Poland on a Sunday
  17. Leon Flint has had to add the Continental riding in this year as he did last year, has brought him on leaps and bounds,. The French idea of running 250s at No7 is a brilliant idea to bring youngsters on, Mamonde has really helped Leon move forward
  18. And of course LEON FLINT 250cc BRITISH CHAMPION again this year. The big one for Leon is this week World Championship at Marketa Stadium Prague. Proud to have helped this young lad even though it is in a small way, it is great to see TAFFYS on the front of a bike and in the lead. GO FLINTY GO,,this week,in Prague rooting for you
  19. Some really nice talent coming through in the 125/250/500 under 16s. Leon Flint, Kyle Bickley, Palin ,Edwards the 2 McGurk brothers and a few others aswell. Listened to the interviews after Belle Vue, Leons hi jacking of the microphone to thank Neil Vatcher was immpressive, and very ,mature for a 14 year old
  20. A far as an entertaining meeting, Berwick vs Peterboro was our best meeting of the season for entertyainment, however , on a downside, the . attendance was very poor No agenda, purely a bit of fact, people who know me, know how critical I can be when it is not. To say we had a good meeting against P/Boro is going to bring them down, you are in cloud cuckoo land pal. Yes, and what a great bunch of fans they are.
  21. They did not short change Berwick on Saturday night, some of the best racing all season.
  22. Trouble is if Ged walks, will you have speedway at P/Boro. It is no ones business how an owner spends his own money to entertain people, however if he invests unwisely, he will walk away because it is costing him personally. Fans always complain about the way someone invests his or her hardy money into a sport like speedway, I am sure he does not want to lose money FANS RARELY MAKE THAT INVESTMENT THAT THEY COULD EASILY LOSE, BUT ARE ALWAYS VERY QUICK IN TELLING SOMEONE HOW TO SPEND HIS MONEY
