  1. Thats because the whole thing is a farce, a golden opportunity to make radical change for the future and they are still tinkering around the edges. Think the picture on Facebook was bang on, a bunch of clowns sitting around a table. Chipperfields will be proud at least
  2. I would like to full wets in tyres for when it rains the same as most motorcycle sport
  3. Aye ! missing the civil war in the home of conspiracy, Berwick is a wonderful place
  4. Wasn't aiming that comment at you Paul, just the discussion should be elsewhere
  5. Thats why I liked speedway, I started as an old fart, loved the fun and banter of speedway and the fans, also had a bit of racing thrown in. The fun has all but disappeared in speedway, the old farts you refer to have remained and everyone have become as miserable as them, sitting about with 1 pint that last for hours talking about the good old days. No wonder younger people dont want to come to speedway, would you want to end up like the miserable average speedway fan. Time to start looking forwards and not looking back to the so called good old days, it is doubtful that they were that good anyway. In the same way people remember hot summers and harsh winters, when you look at the facts, the UK has had 5 hot summers in 65 years and just 2 harsh winters in 75 years..
  6. I have never dealt with a young person so level headed, what is brilliant to see is his interaction with younger people than himself what a great little mentor (well not so little), I am sur this ,might have had something to do with his award for young rider of the year, as he interacts beyond speedway. If he carries on in this way, he could be a really good talent coming through the ranks, A lot has to do with your upbringing an d Sarah is Mum has a lot to be proud of in that area, his speedway has everything to do with his Grandad Big Tony Flint.
  7. Leon moved up to 500s at the end of the season after securing his 3rd British 250 championship. In his 1st meeting at 500 he scored 3--3--3--3-- then 2 in the final. He just placed a call me out for any NL club to talk to him, he will be 15 in February and will be eligible for NL in 2018 Interesting argument about Glasgeeweegies. COULD YOU NOT ARGUE IT OUT ON THE GLASGOW THREAD
  8. Rumour had it you had been trapped in with the snowstorms in Cornhill Colin
  9. Perhaps they will be looking to establish a new track in Tenerife, plenty of volcanic shale available
  10. The question is who the he*l is, it's the same names in the frame going around in circles, the new bad decisions on officers are the same old bad decisions on the same old names. They are the problem, the only difference is which clowns are you going to vote for this time
  11. Isn't that what any business would do, I wonder if any promoter would run their own business in the way speedway is run. Comes down to better organisation Dave
  12. I do hope you lot survive, wouldn't be the same, not taking the Mick out of The Comics, sorry banter. On top of that what the h*ll would Jenga have to moan about
  13. Would be great if he was, but my gut feeling tells me not.
  14. Never seen so many old dinosaurs in one place, with a few youngsters thrown in. I am absolutely delighted however for LEON FLINT, along side his Dad and his Grandad, Big Tony has been a stalwart in his success so far. I am privileged to sponsor this young rider, who is one of the most appreciative riders I have dealt with in the time I have been sponsoring, and am so pleased my small help has helped him get there. In the very near future I will be small fry in his sponsorship, but i can proudly say I was there when he started in speedway, when he needed it most. GET IN THERE TEAM FLINT TAFFYS TIME MACHINE
  15. A really well done, and really well deserved to Leon Flint. For someone so young, he is very level headed, and knows what he wants from speedway. It is an honour to sponsor this young lad. who beyond any doubt is one of the most appreciative riders that I have dealt with. As for the future, National League first, at 15 he is allowed to ride at that level from February, a good year there honing his skills even more. After that it's up to Leon where he wants to step up to, he will know, I really hope pressure is not placed on him to ride for his home town club, just because he is the local lad, it's not necessarily a good thing, it places too much pressure on a young rider. If Leon wants to ride for his home town club, it is entirely his decision, but what ever decision he makes, good times are coming for Leon in speedway. I have said to TEAM FLINT many times, it won't be long before my sponsorship will be small fry, but for now it is an honour, GET IN THERE FLINTY.
  16. Still gets grass in his tyres, end of the world
