  1. A very well done to all involved, these young lads are the future and need the help. It is a pity this was not done on the center green, for all to appreciate how much the Berwick Bandits Supporters Club does for Berwick speedway. This was especially noticeable in the presentation to Jye Etheridge, without this financial help the rider might find it difficult to compete, this would have a massive effect on the ability of the team. and the club could then lose out financially.
  2. His contract was terminated, so anything in that contract would be void. Are you saying therefore that loan fees have nothing to do with his contract whereby it does not apply.
  3. His contract is terminated, talk about a private club flaunting employment law. One day a rider is going to take the private club all the way in employment law, and the sooner that day comes the better.
  4. WHY ? They sacked him, and you own him, would be different if he left and you signed him, you would then have to re-pay their loan fee to you as compensation. This is not the case, as they incurred their own loss.
  5. I will simplify it, I pay to be entertained, I like Berwick to win, it is not important to me if we don't, yes i would be a tad disappointed but a close tight meeting is more important. Last season after we signed Morris on a much better prepared track really did entertain me, and thought if this carries on, great. Apart from the the odd meeting Glasgow in particular and I did concede last Saturday was better, although very strung out at times, this season has drifted away from entertainment. I will admit my ideal meeting is 46---44, the meeting against Sheffield is a prime example, I dont think we were good they were awful. To be fair there are similar complaints from other tracks, so it may well be the way the sport is run is the problem, and not the individual team, Berwick does however seem to create some of the problems itself. Like any business you have to please your customers if you dont please them they no longer become your customers, and at the end of the day it is the customer paying at the gate that pays the riders wages.
  6. Saturday was a better meeting on a much better prepared meeting, yes there were 3 good passes, afraid ton say that was it. Please to see Spud riding much better, I suppose i would have to give Tero rider of the night. Apart from the Glasgow meeting and a few highlights in between, still cannot say we have had good speedway this season. This is the first season I am picking what I want to watch, never done that before, always took the rough with the smooth, never missed a meeting unless it clashed with a holiday, this season so far I can take it or leave it and sadly and with a heavy heart, many fans are feeling the same. I suppose it is simple, I am not being entertained, unlike last season when the Nick Morris signing turned everything around, and was probably the main reason the track prep was much better as Nick will have put his very strong foot down.
  7. 1st hour 6 until 7 7 until 9 tedium, 9 until when everetc. etc happiness
  8. If it happens that Leon goes to No1, no need to worry, he will relish it , loves a challenge. As for Belle Vue, his 1st time on a 500 end of last season scored 3-3-3-3 then 2nd in the fina
  9. For some reason Danny Gap was struggling at home on Saturday night, don't know if he has a bike problem
  10. Where was the Sheffield team I was expecting. Not sure we were good but they were bad, but a win is a win as so many people remind us. However I didn't find the meeting that entertaining, apart from Doolan in heat 11 hardly a pass all night
  11. JPB is a good signing, especially now the problems in his family life are sorted. Your team is now stronger for it, still a pity for Mitch though
  12. Added attraction today at Berwick. THE MONKS MOTORCYCLE RALLY, is being held around The Black & Gold, come earlier and enjoy the motorcycles. Worth noting, parking may be affected on the grassed area, so again come early.
  13. Yawnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn
  14. Young Flinty really disrupted my guitar workshop, kept checking Updates instead of playing guitar,
  15. I have sponsored many speedway riders, few have been as appreciative as Leon. As far as tonight is concerned, whatever the result, it will not be for the want of trying. GET IN THERE TEAM FLINT.
  16. He really has been a pleasure to work with for the last 5 years, the time is coming where my help will be small fry
  17. I have never been able to get over how mature he is for such a young guy, he will be a brilliant mentor for speedway in the future.
  18. I believe Leon Flint donated his wages for the night to Mitch
  19. Cannot understand Dick either, swings and roundabouts. If you want to bring back anyone, Alan Gladstone
  20. I found it a bit monotonous, one good race heat 13. I missed last week against Worky, but it does seem the magic ingredient is WATER Even filling in the programme is no longer fun, can fill it in heat bend 1 to 2 1st lap
