Just lately I seem to see more wobblers and fallers watching tired out riders in the Elite League
-
Are you going to stipulate that a rider can only ride in a team within a certain distance of his home otherwise there won't be much savings to the riders costs.

I'm surprised if Neil Middleditch tweeted that, he should know the rules by now SCB Rule 4.2 BANNED SUBSTANCES (ALCOHOL, DOPING & DRUGS) Riders and Officials are forbidden to use or to suffer from the effects of using alcohol, drugs or any doping product and testing may be carried out at any Meeting or Training Session. -
Slowing down to try and get your partner through to join you is one way of making it a bit more watch-able, with a lot of riders I'm afraid as soon as they hit the front they are gone, If you have the experience to get your partner through and sit behind him, let him win, you get the same points on your pay packet. The sharing of riders is a killer, but it's a case that there aren't enough Speedway riders for the amount of clubs in this country, we desperately need to bring on more new riders but with little or no 2nd halfs being run at tracks there is little chance of new blood coming through.

What Does A Team Captain Do And Do They Make A Difference?
Team Man replied to jeff's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
What set up for a track for one rider doesn't always work for another so sharing setups is not always productive. -

"Peterborough Licence up for grabs". another wonderful opportunity for all you people who know how Speedway should be run to take it on now, you can apply for whatever League you think it would do best at. -
Speedway is 2 years older than me, will it reach it's Centenary, it's got 15 years to achieve that, will I out live it, or will I go before it does........Sobering thought.

Tactical Substitutes - Thinking 'out Of The Box'!
Team Man replied to a topic in Speedway News and Discussions
It's very difficult to decide what is fiddling and what is team management then, You would rather see a rider take his allotted rides all night and not have an in form reserve take his place then, because that is a team manager fiddling the rides to suit. -

Thinking like that you might just as well stop riders making changes to their bike after their first ride, I agree of dropping the Double points ride that is a terrible rule But gate positions is surely a different matter, after all a team wins a toss to choose gate positions to start a meeting, should that be abandoned as a form of fiddling. -

I don't know what was wrong with the old, "if a team is 6 or more points behind they have choice of gate positions", as Team manager I used that many a time, it does give you an edge if you concentrate on how the gates are behaving and knowing how your rider gates and rides, but nothing is foolproof. -
Looking at the points Pedersen and Woffinden are on, If Tai were to ride I think Pedersen would take full advantage of Tai being vulnerable. Or am I being a bit harsh.
