  1. Hang on a min. How come we have two threads running on this? I thought I was going mad for a minute, looking for one of my posts!
  2. I am not sure what I am more excited about, the speedway or the fish n chips! Its quite funny really, I sent my son off to get fish n chips at Rye House and he cam back saying they had no fish. The very next away match and everyone is saying how good the fish n chips are!
  3. I sure hope so as this team and promotion deserve good crowds. I do wonder if Saturday nights would have been better. I wonder if Sunday afternoons clashes with other commitments too much. Those of you that are not bothering because its National League, I don't blame you. I also said I would not bother going if they went NL. I thought that I would not care about a NT team and that even if they won the league I would not be bothered. I was wrong. I cheer for every point, every overtake, every 5-1 and every 4-2. Hell, I even cheer a 4- 2 against us if our riders were going for it (an the usually are) I am enjoying this season more than any since 2000 and 2002. Maybe even more than that. There is a really buzz around the place. Please come and give it a try and bring your family and friends. (No, I am not paid by or connected to the club in any way) I just love this team!
  4. Great news about the fish n chips. Especially as they had no fish at Rye House. I am going and hoping for an away win. I am going for 42 - 48 Whats viewing like there, anyone know?
  5. Ahh yes. Dicky Davies Rally Cross, Scrambling, Westling, Speedway....even grasstrack! Those were the days!
  6. Ahh yeh, I am not good with smileys, I don't usually notice them. I feel a bit stupid now!
  7. I see on Connors and Nigel Pearsons twitter its saying Eastbourne v Cradley 24th May is on Sky. Is this a wind up. Surely it is!
  8. The scores just dont tell the story of how entertaining these matches are, some great racing and once again, a great result. I guess those that stay away think the matches are not close enough. If they were they would probably moan because we made hard work of it and should do better at home. Could have been nasty for BWD and lucky Georgie managed to lay his bike down. I though Luke Chessel was entertaining and Rob Branford really lived up to expectation. There wont be many that beat BWD twice in a match round Arlo. Mind you, if the track had not been as slick, I think Bradley would have done him 11. Hats off to all riders that managed to lay their bikes down when needed. Woods did it twice I think. As for Brendan, I dont have an axe to grind for him and feel it was a shame he got dropped from our team. His statement on his twitter does not come over as arrogant or throwing his toys out his pram. Simply a guy how is gutted and upset with his speedway. I wish him all the best.
  9. Come on someone. Do the updates for crazysue, its not hard. We all appreciate the updates when we need them. I have done them a couple of times when the usual texter cant and I have done away as well. I have an issue with my phone at the moment so I cant but I would if it was ok.
  10. That's my thoughts. It would be nice to try and take as much of this team into the Premier. Maybe get Tom in at reserve as soon as poss and then have a premier league team in a few year with Bradley, Tom, Georgie and Kelsey perhaps. Although I somehow think Bradley will be an Elite League heat leader in a few years!
  11. When I was stood on the terraces towards the end of last season, my cousin asked me "So what do you reckon on Eastbourne if they went National League then?" I replied that I would stay at home and had no interest in watching a bunch of armatures Well I take that back. The riders have a brilliant attitude and there is some cracking racing. Yes, I think Eastbourne fans are all getting a bit hooked on the success so far but its also just a general feel good factor..
  12. Not sure there is much gloating from Eastbourne fans, We all know tracks can go wrong, even at GP level but it is really annoying when you find that half the problem is political. I got told that the track was prepped for the Premier league match with no thought for the NT meeting and that was by the stadium owner, who seemed completely stunned and upset by the whole thing. It cost me the best part of £150 to see 5 heats of.....well I was going to say racing but I cant even say that. The apology on the website does not go far enough. Yes, I am sure they are sorry but I want to see an explanation of what went wrong and why it went wrong and how they are going to overcome it if we come up for the second half of a double header again? Thank god the next one its just us, so I will be back. For the record, I think the viewing is great. seeing the come out of turn 4 so close to the fence is awesome and I did enjoy the first meeting. Its great to see an in form Ed Kennett as well,
  13. If you read the whole thread I dont think you will find anyone is really linking him with Eastbourne. Thread just went off topic a bit.
  14. Another resounding win I should think. Who will be maximum man for this match. My hope is that we have another big victory but with some good racing like the KL match. As for the fans. What do they want? We have a young exciting team of lads that you can tell love their racing and riding for Eastbourne. Their enthusiasm is infectious. For Crying Out Loud people. All you that have moaned and groaned about previous management, promotion and riders get down and see these guys. They are brilliant and we have a team that can seriously win Silverware.
  15. Wow. Another big win for Eastbourne. 65 - 27 When is someone going to test us at home?
  16. That's at Rye House on Monday I think you will find
  17. Rider replacement for David Mason.
  18. Ha ha. I doubt it. Matt Bates has a practice today doesnt he. Will be good that Martin can set his bike up for tomorrow. Hope he goes well,
  19. Sorry, I am not nit picking. I just wondered why it was on the Eastbourne thread. If anyone was suggesting we sign him I would have been well against that all.
  20. How does this all affect Eastbourne? Or are we suggesting we sign him?
  21. Could that not simply be a case of him not needing to allow as much time for error in his journey? Seriously, I don't quite get the Mason bashing. They guy obviously has some sort of health issue and I am sure if it is on going something will be done. When he rode he did a good job for us and I am sure he is invaluable in the pits..
  22. In some ways I really hope not. If we beat Stoke by that much I think we may have some very one sided matches when the weaker teams come to town!
  23. Anyone can open a thread Alex, just gotta be brave! Whats your prediction for the score?
  24. Looking forwards to this as Stoke seem to be tipped to be at the top or thereabouts this season. Will be good if Matt Bates goes well. It would be good to see another big home win and I am going to go for 52- 38 to the eagles
  25. How can you judge when you don't know what the problem is? You say you are disappointed with Mason and then contradict yourself by saying it must be a serious illness. I agree it annoying and obviously if he has a long term issue he may have to be replaced but its a bit early to slate him just yet imo
