Yes, we have lots of away matches coming up and we have to get some 4 point away wins. Ironically, I think play offs would actually help us this year as we seem to fall just short away but I think we could beat anyone over two legs if we came second in the league.

The knockers were a small minority. There was some constructive criticism as well. Most Eagles fans simply want Kelsey to do well and become the Master of Arlington like his Dad was. Regarding Martin being on the tractor, he has pretty much always been hands on. Even when he wasn't promoting. Agree that the riders are brilliant, very friendly and approachable. I have to add that 'some' of the Elite League riders were good as well. Cam especially.

Eastbourne Eagles Vs Rye House. 7/6/15

It was very dusty but they did keep putting water down. You could pretty much see it drying as they were watering. -
So its David Mason, Richard Andrews, Bradley Wilson-Dean, Marc Owen. Real shame Georgie is not in there but I still think we could do well.

I have a feeling it will be a runaway win for the IT First Eagles -
Tom cannot ride for us until 2016. That's the way I understand it due to his birthdate. Hopefully we will stay NL for long enough for that to happen

Eastbourne Eagles Vs Birmingham Brummies 31st May Ko Cup

Simple. Yes 15 point win on the night and through to the next round. -
Yes, bring on Saturday night racing. Its perfect. You get to do what you want to do on Saturday. Speedway in the evening and then you get to do what you wanna do on Sunday. Roast dinner no longer rushed. Get to see the F1 GPs. and I get to miss X Factor and all the other Saturday night TV rubbish.

Two extra teams would only be two more home matches and these could be made up by not having challenge, KO or Trophy matches. I do get your point with the likes of Coventry....maybe they could run a couple of dreaded double headers! Especially if Lakeside run an Elite League team. Coventry v Lakeside EL and NL on the same night. How cool would that be?
-
I agree. I think 12 teams is a nice number.
-
I would rather have all three in.

I have to say it a real shame that three of last years Eastbourne riders have now let the Lions down. It really is a pity the Lewis had not lived up to the potential he once had. It was so much fun seeing him go faster and faster in the second halves at Arlington and I remember clearly the day he beat the 60 second barrier. Then he went off to the Wildcats and set the national League on fire. Then he rode for Eastbourne in the Elite and although he was a bit off and on, he could be such an exciting rider on his night. Where it all went wrong, I don't know. He was a bit of a wild boy, I am not sure if he had the right management or commitment. Only he knows what is in his head. I cant defend the people he has let down, all I can say is that the few times I have chatted to him he has been honest and seems like a decent lad and I know that Rico did seriously hit him hard. All the best for the future Lewis, whatever you do.

Reading the last couple of posts just about sums up the season for me. Usually the talk on the forums is about who we should drop in the current year but now the talk is already about who we can keep for next year! Why? because we have 7 riders (8 including Danny) that WANT to ride, enjoy winning and are racing their hearts out. I absolutely love this team like a haven't since the Martin, Deano and Floppy days. Sunday reminded me of the Sunday afternoons in the 70s, two great sets of fans and riders and real emotion being shown. LOVING THIS SEASON

I agree about the gating. Only David and Kelsey seem sharp from the gate. If we do turn it around, we will be unbeatable -

Good win in the end by the Eagles but it certainly looked like it could be close at times. Great meeting with some awesome passing by BWD and Cradley sure made it hard for us. They look like a very good team to me. Great fun between the two sets of fans and the riders. The Eastbourne lads celebrations on the stock car track were a joy -

I think he means our old friend 'rider replacement' as one of the 7 -
Thats great news. Shame its a Thursday as would be easier to travel on a weekend but I will try to make it next year when the Eagles visit

There is very little criticism of Kelsey in general really, that's why I chose to ignore the couple of posts that did. -

I think Eastbourne need to win this convincingly and not give any points to Cradley. I will only be happy if we win by 12 plus.I certainly hope Cardley don't steal a point. I hope you enjoy your visit greyhound and don't suffer the pain of a last heat deciding a loss by 7 points like we did up there! -

Eastbourne win by 10+ -
Best of luck to everybody involved in this. IOW is a stadium that I have never visited in my 40 odd years off following speedway but one that I have always promised myself that I will.

Gutted I cant go as this will be the first Eagles match at home or away that I will have missed this season. I am enjoying supporting them this year. Would like a win on the night but thoroughly expect the Eagles to do enough to finish the job at Arlington and move on to the next round. -
We sure did enjoy it, Obviously gutted to not come away with the win but was still a good match. I agree with what you say about Danny. I was looking forwards to seeing him as he rode for us last year. Once again Georgie and Bradley were brilliant entertainment they always are. And the fish n chips were great!
