  1. I'll give you Hughes but I think Powell and Andrews were always pretty certain.
  2. Fact is, Ben can be very quick and was great back up to BWD last year. With the training and weight loss he is putting in, he could get better next year. I fail to see how that will make him one of the worse number 5s in the league I must say.
  3. Well we know its not Kelsey cos he cant wheelie, well not on purpose! Shane Parker?
  4. Dont worry, I spent ages wondering why the lack of interest in these meetings before I found the KO cup thread,,,,,,,even worse I realized I had already posted on it!!!
  5. lol, the ole toilets debate again. I would rather see money spent on the team and maybe the training track
  6. Great night all in all. We has good racing, rain, thrills and spills, almost fisty cuffs and a great result. Fair do's to Cradley who really made a match of it after the rain. I never thought this would go down to the last heat. I gotta say, I just love Danny Ayres. he never gives up, shows real emotion and yeh, it was so funny when he fell after taunting the fans! I had a chat with him after the meeting and he seems like a real nice guy as well. He has definately bee my favorite opposition rider this season, home and away. Congrats to every single rider for riding in thise condition. I can just imagine the elite league and the huddle of riders on turn 2, the ref being called down to the track because they are all thinking of tomorrows meeting in Poland or whatever. Fair do,s to the Cradley fans who are vocal and help create a great atmosphere. They gave as much as the got from the noisy Eastie fans down the home straight. Wow BWD sure had a bit of Nicki P in him when he blocked Max Clegg. I get why Clegg was not happy, I really do but it was funny seeing him chase BWD round the track after. Just a great end to a great year.
  7. For me the definite returns would be (this is my point of view) and not knowing the average building. These are who I would build the team around, the engine room so to speak. Richard Andrews (Due to the form he is showing now) Daniel Spiller Georgie Woods. Number 1. Its so easy just to go for BWD but can he improve on his average and do we want to use up nearly ten points on him? I would probably say yes but also consider Marl Owen and Ben Hopwood Then of course I would want to look at who fits and we can use out of Kelsey, Mattie, Danny and David (they all did a job last year and were part of a winning team. Other I would consider.if available James Shanes Danny Ayres (I fricking love the guy. I real trier and really seems to care (even when guesting for another team). Luke Chessel Dream City would be Ethan Spiller and Tom at reserve but I have had conflicting info about if they are eligible or available. So I don't know. I guess another couple of grass trackers at reserve would be cool.
  8. Must admit, I see it as being a bit closer than others do. Personally I would like it to be a last heat decider, won by Eastbourne! Although I am not sure I could take the stress
  9. I just realised I have not got my tickets, have everyone else got theirs?
  10. Poole could probably get Jason Crump in on some sort of assessed average. Dam it. Poole have hijacked the Belle Vue thread and its party my fault!!! So back to Belle Vue, I wonder if they could get Jason Crump in on some sort of assessed average?
  11. Would love to see Belle Vue in the NL Please not Poole, I like Eastbourne being the Poole of the National League!
  12. Seriously, get over it. There are idiots everywhere, from train stations to football stadiums. Ignore them.
  13. I dont think he was suggesting that he would.
  14. Its the same everywhere you go. I have felt sick and even been involved in arguments when fans at away matches cheer when Eastie riders fall. Last night I was pretty disgusted (as an Eastbourne fan) myself when the cheers went up for falling riders. I hate it. I have to say it does not usually happen as bad as that and I think they were just hooked up in the occasion. I must add as well that there was hardly a cheer for Kirbys awkward looking turn 2 tumble. None of us wanna see riders hurt
  15. Great night for Eastbourne again, really enjoyed the after match interviews and celebrations again. More than anything though last night told me one thing, SATURDAY NIGHT RACING IS THE WAY TO GO!!! I know the Sunday afternoon time got the vote last year but I just wonder if the traditionalists were the ones that voted, I dont know but what I do know is Speedway under floodlights suits racing at Arlington. Plus, I get my Sunday roast back! Wont start until after the KO final but I cant wait to start discussing the team for next year. I think we will actually be arguing about who to keep rather than who we shouldnt!!
  16. I am kind of glad that the Brummies pulled it back at the end last night. I was really beginning to think, with 3 heats to go, that the second leg at Arlo was going to be a non-event but Birmingham are still in this. They are the only team that have come close to beating us at Arlo this year. Its a real shame they have riders missing. I would rather lose to a full strength team than beat a weakened one.
  17. I am beginning to feel like a Poole fan. Reading posts about how our management will do whatever is needed to try and win, spend money or bringing a legal rider over, how dare they!
  18. I really hope something happens and for the fans sake I wish the Heathens all the best. Must be difficult to find new owners when they dont even have a proper home track!
  19. LOL, I never thought I would hear the Eagles accused of spending too much in the name of winning. What a difference a year makes.
  20. Would be great to see both Spillers in I must admit. Hate seeing Kelsey in and out though, he did seem to struggle Saturday. Who would have thought this time last year that the Eagles would go in to October still in the hunt for trophies!!
  21. Weather maybe? I hope it does happen as it would be nice to have the second leg at Arloington
  22. Looking forwards to the last few matches and more Silverware. All this bollocks (on other threads) about any other trophy being Micky Mouse and no-one whats them is plain stupid. Would I swap the trophies we are looking at winning for the League title? Yes! Do I care if we win the KO cup, the Gold Cup and the NT YES! Thats why I have spend my money going to every even home and away so far and will the remaining ones. The 'Micky Mouse' trophy we won on Saturday is a good as I have felt at Arlo for a long time. Who will remember winning them? Me! and most of the fans that have followed this club this season will. More so than last season and many of the other in recent years. We will all remember the year that Martin and Conner took over. Signed a Kiwi, and an unknown grass tracker, David Mason, Rick Andrews Danny Warwick and Mark Owen. Chucked in another Dugard and built a team in the National League. Then the usual injuries hit and they REALLY 'leave no stone un-turned' and Bring in Ben, Daniel and Matty Bates. Will anyone else remember? I dont know and I dont care. We will. Oh dear. I have rambled on a bit! Sorry, I just care!
  23. Get in there Eastbourne. Could this be the first of 4 trophies?
