Starry please give it a break. Yes you're entitled to your opinion but you keep antagonising people with your posts and they become too personal. You create so much anti-Poole vitriol, whether you mean to or not. Like the expression of putting your brain into gear before you speak, then similarly calm down, give it time and consider things before you hit the keyboard. Preferably 6 months.

King's Lynn Stars 2017
Pirate Baz replied to Daniel Smith's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
According to Matt Ford Michelsen wasn't an option at Poole due to his Wednesday night Danish commitments, so I would guess it would rule him out for you guys as well. -
'Starman' and 'think' in the same sentence. Something I thought I'd never see in print.
-
I think that's a team that will see us through the season good enough for a top four place. It (they) will improve as the season goes on and by the time of the play offs will be serious challengers. IMO.
-
But it's what we do isn't it Skidder. One way we get through the winter. We are not all 'in the know' like certain people. You know me. As soon as we get the teams sorted out I shall be clamouring for the fixture list. Anyway to continue the theme. Now the Eddie rumour is out the way it must surely be special K next?
-
If Kennett is announced this morning it looks a decent 1-5 in this diluted league. Problem could be the two 3 point reserves.

See my post (number 98) on 9th November.

Is there a start time for this yet?

Darcy Ward Says No Holder At Poole No Me At Poole
Pirate Baz replied to robert72's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
This would be another rule that would need great thought. To speculate, say they lowered the average to 45, then a say 10 point rider was genuinely injured. Would they have to replace him with a 5 ? I know it's not so simple as that as averages are a minefield, but it is one scenario that could arise. Hardly a like for like comparison Skidder. -
If they are keeping Morris that's over 30 points on 3 riders, thus less than 20 for the final 4 .......... he's going to be a heat leader. Still like to know what rule will be implemented at the first set of averages to restrict team strengthening.
-
But after one month or however many meetings it would be down to around 10 (in this diluted league) and there's possibly 2.5 points to strengthen the bottom end. Actually all the team averages are going to drop somewhat. Two teams at 50 points = 100. 90 points in a meeting ....... you do the maths. Actually it's an even bigger differential as CMA's are based on 4 rides so only 4/5 of the points of the riders in heat 15 (or anyone who has 5 rides) go into the averages, thus the differential is between the 100 in the team building and 84 in the greensheets. 16 points a meeting off the averages!
-
Now Brady's average has been stated at 7.65 the Rebels could replace Zach with Brady and come in at 49.77, providing Garry can prise Brady away from Poole. Biggest problem might be doubling up (down) riders with the maximum of two rule.
-
Now Brady is on 7.65 there's 5.51 remaining for the second reserve. Know it's not going to happen though due to Matt's statement about Adam. Still believe the doors not shut on Chris though.
-
Pure speculation, like most of the posts on here, but how about ..... Chris Holder 12.53 Brady Kurtz 9.22 Adam Ellis 7.84 Jack Holder 7.16 Kyle Newman 6.31 Ben Morley 3.85 Ellis Perks 3.00 Total 49.91 I had considered Watty at 7.56 but not sure where his head is at present. OK Adam then takes the third heat leader position in the initial averages, but likely other number 3's include Steve Worrell, Jason Garrity, Aaron Summers, Justin Sedgeman and maybe even Stuart Robson. Of course it's nothing like the team that Matt will track come March/April and not sure who out of those will be doubling up, but it gets some favourites in, is young and I think entertaining. OK go ahead and shout me down. Once Chris' average drops to say 10 there will be another 2.5 points to play with, but have they a rule to counter that yet?
-
Might have the wrong Kurtz there Steve.
-
Harris 9.21 Brady 9.22 One past his peak, the other on his way up. Only one choice for me, but I accept I'm in the minority, and I also think Brady will be on his way to Somerset. Oh and Ellis Perks for the second Brit with Kyle, assuming we can't fit Adam in.
-
I think it's a cunning move to relocate the Robins to Somerset until the new stadium is finished.

Premiership Confirmed Signings 2017
Pirate Baz replied to mdmc82's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Not sure the Doyle thing will happen. Can't see the top GP guys wanting to ride in such a diluted league, and using 25% of the team points one one rider makes teams ridiculously top heavy. Also don't buy the argument of waiting one month until the first Green Sheets, if it is a month, as (a) I'm sure there will be a plan to prevent that, and ( how many riders are going to wait a month for a team place, have to play 'catch up' and may still not be accommodated if the averages don't fit. Is anyone clear on doubling up? Is it allowed? What about foreign riders? Guessing previous will have their average factored up by 1.4, but what about 'new' overseas riders? -
Congratulations Wolves and I think it will be a cracking final. In truth the Pirates have not quite been there all season. Some good performances but also some poor ones. The best two teams throughout the season (imo) will be contesting the final. I really can't split them, but maybe marginally think Wolves as the National Stadium is still not really an advantage to the home team. Yes I saw last nights result but Wolves will be a different proposition.
-
Depends on what weather site you look at. Think you may be quoting Met Office. BBC basically dry all day but light showers at 7 pm. Metcheck has showers/light rain/intermittent rain all day from noon. Guessing with Sky there it will be on, but means standing in (whatever) rain watching Lakeside get pummeled at Belle Vue between races. God I'm really becoming a Victor Meldrew.

Poole V Kings Lynn Elb. 7/09/16
Pirate Baz replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
..... and there wasn't a Poole or Kings Lynn rider in heat 10. What picture does that paint about Elite League Speedway today? -
As posted elsewhere, it says Tuesday 14th so does it mean Tuesday 13th or Wednesday 14th ? If Tuesday the riders (and fans) presumably going straight from Manchester to Kings Lynn?

Holder now out according to the Pirates forum. -
Isn't that after the cut off date, or has that been changed, but also I thought the play offs started on 21st this year?
