  1. Funny enough… @Shadders said exactly the same about merchandise… there was a noticeably large turnout of Berwick fans there! They’ll get torn a new bum hole next week by Newcastle.. a large Glasgow support should boost the numbers there but after that I do fear for them!
  2. TBH.. I thought he got it spot at the time.. that exactly where I’d have played it the minute we went 7 down!
  3. Let’s not be pedantic eh! We were operating RR after losing our 3rd heat leader last night… we lost our higher point scoring reserve… You had Congreve have 2 rides and score nowt when, if you look on past form, you could also put him in for that 3rd duck egg too… aye, we named a no.8.. but we clearly wouldn’t have used Luke had Ty not been injured! Winning comfortably was the 18 points we won by last night… not the 5 you won by tonight… a 5-1 to us in Heat 15 and we’d have won so don’t understand you’re logic there! And you clearly ain’t been to any meeting at Berwick this season… more passing at Brough there tonight than in a season at ours… aye okay!! every meeting this year has had more than a few talking points because of the action on track! I love seeing born proper racers too.. we’re blessed to have Bomber & Leon especially… Lee Complin was a shadow of the rider he was last night… doesn’t that alone say anything?!?!
  4. A very very hard earned point was the least that they deserved… had proctor not crashed id have been confident that that was a win for us Nowt else to do when you’ve got to wait for things to happen… £4.00 for a bacon roll I wouldn’t mind paying if it was filled but to open it and find I only got 2 rashers of bacon left me a bit riled… the scoops of ice cream weren’t really value either.. I won’t be that stupid again! Yep… bloody terrific effort from all 5 Bandits left standing! Some funny shenanigans though… like you say.. the ongoing saga of the Wilson Dean “injury”… Congreve struggling and then “delayed concussion “… James Wright and his ongoing moving at the tapes… Hopefully not… least we have a break now.. time to heal and regroup! Your team struggled to beat 5 riders… well done! After witnessing what I and many other Berwick fans did tonight, I’d be telling Flinty to make sure our riders accept no bookings at all for Brough! Yet again there were very experienced riders struggling on bends 3 & 4.. wethers and Howarth in heat 1.. Ty in heat 2… Clegg coming down on his own at the back on bends 3 & 4! And this generally happens every meeting I go to.. and I’ve seen a few at Brough the last 20 solid years I’ve been going! And before the usual suspects on here have a go… oh, “you’re just bitter you lost”… I ain’t.. I truly am not bitter…. I thought beforehand we’d get beat so to get a point was superb… but tonight made me realise how lucky we are at Berwick! Generally to stay safe you had to stay on the inside… what kept it interesting was the closeness of the meeting… it only came alive with a brilliant heat 12 from Theo and Kyle! And the carry on after heat 15 in the pits re; Starkes silencer… what’s the crack with that?
  5. Was with us in 2008… built like a s**t brick house had a decent season like!
  6. The Hungarian you were thinking of may have been Norbert Magosi?
  7. Got to ask… what’s with the swapping of reserves all the time?! Why not just put Congreve at 6 and Complin at 7?! Poor George Congreve must wonder why he’s bothered to come over when he’s the sacrificial lamb being put in the far harder heats! Should’ve let him be in his rides and left Lee in his! Like i thought would happen, he certainly hasn’t forgot how to ride here.. one of the very few who has the balls big enough to go as wide as what is needed! Anyways, seems we’re likely to be without Leon for today.. I made a suggestion to crescent girl last night about a potential guest with Leon being our 3rd heat leader (apparently you can do that this season). Whether or not we go guest or rr, with all bar Bomber being able to take a ride, will be interesting!
  8. Is it? Sitting in Goldstone right now it doesn’t look too bad!
  9. I tend to hold a grudge when my team has been shafted! Some blame us for costing Newcastle the chance to retain the title back in 2002 (Sheffield beat us at home to pretty much secure it for them). If I didn’t mind my team being done over, could I call myself a true fan?
  10. 6 negative lateral flows and 2 negative PCR’s I’ve had to do this week just to stay at work … so if I actually did live in Scottish land I’d be shoving them up Wee Jimmy’s jinker and telling her to settle down But I am as English as you and she has no bearing or reason to question my cough
  11. You pulled one against us before that shouldn’t have been allowed *cough* Nico Covatti guest for Lewis Rose on the 29th Day of your 28 day facility *cough* Nice to see you’ve been brought into line this time
  12. True… but he’s one of a small few who seemed to revel on a dirt line as wide as ours has been.. I don’t know.. I just see him being a bit of a thorn this weekend!
  13. Won’t be that bad i imagine something like 55-35! Lee is coming “home”.. if the track was like it was last week then he may thrive in it!
  14. First and foremost… they’re both Bandits fans! Appreciate the fact that the No.1 of their team pulled off a race like that! Can’t blame either of them for getting excited!
  15. Yep. Seen it. An absolute master class to everyone else on how good he truly still is.. and how good our track can be when prepared right and attacked as it should be!
  16. No doubt Newcastle to win next week we have a habit of failing at Newcastle in the pasty when we shouldn’t have!
  17. 58 against Brum… 56 against Edinburgh… 59 against Oxford… I fancy a nice 57-33
  18. Agreed! The original fixture list had the Glasgow vs Berwick meeting being shown.. they should’ve stuck with it!
  19. I just so wish that had been the meeting on the BSN! One of the best meetings around Shielfield that I can recall in a very very long time! Bomber in heat 13 was just perfection!
  20. I’d think close to that as well.. Batch and Nicholls scored paid 30 points between them with Kent! We are clearly performing much better at home than away so far! Oxford to get close but no cigar for them!
