  1. Spot on decision sadly. Lee gave Adam nowhere to go.
  2. They say things come in 3s… well, Leon, Ty and now Jye! On top of that, Theo sick before the meeting! Can the bad luck please just f**k off and leave us alone now… properly gutted at the fact we’ve lost.. on the bright side we stopped Redcar getting 4 points… with Jye riding and the form he’s been on at home there’s no doubt to me we’d have won it with him! Couple of days for the lads to recover now and think about our guest situations now before hitting the road to Plymouth and Poole!
  3. Aye… but you tend to ride our place better then your own… Poole are going to make a lot of teams look poor! Definitely a banana skin match for us… we’re a better line up then last year and we have 2 very adequate replacements. I’d have preferred to go with our own line up to beat the Bears but there we are. 48-42 me thinks!
  4. Bends 3 & 4 last week caused issues… may also explain why everyone hugged the white line as much! The only one brave enough to come off it was Bomber in heat 15, which was awarded to Starke despite it looking the other way round… never mind! I seriously hope that it is sorted… Genuine question… was it a landlord decision to put you to Sundays as a race day? I can’t remember why you originally moved from the Monday nights… I remember some banging meetings between Newcastle and Berwick at the start of the noughties on Monday nights!
  5. Oh I hear ya pal! Indeed! Now you can understand our frustration on last week…
  6. Heat 11 comment… Cami Brown complaining about the state of the track… oh dear! *my salty sour puss is saying nothing*….. Gonna be interesting reading the viewpoints of those who were there from Glasgow…
  7. Don’t say that… you’ll be labelled a sour puss!
  8. To be fair, Dick said it right last night… Good track prep and riders with positive mindframes= Berwick being one of the best tracks in the country to watch speedway! I don’t know what’s been done differently on the track this year… but seriously, there hasn’t been one bad meeting this year! The Bullets sit quite proudly top of the league so far with us having set the pace for people to mark up to again! Let’s just make sure we get to the play offs first and then it’s game on! I thought Belle Vue would be the team to get us at home… how wrong I was!
  9. Wow! That was an advert for the NDL! A superb meeting. How you wish Greg Blair misses the gate every heat! Simply superb to watch!
  10. No-one shot you down IMO… simply said Plymouth is more Ben’s style of track!
  11. Always 2 sides to an argument… Newcastle saying one thing… Berwick another… it’s done… Newcastle couldn’t completely romp home to stop our 5 senior remaining bandits getting anything… they got their first much needed win… but what a shame they’ll get their arses handed to them this week against Glasgow… see how the home fans manage and support Granty after Sunday when it gets real tough!
  12. Meant to ask if you’ve seen the clip of heat 15 on Speedway GB? You want to tell me i need a prescription again?
  13. I think you need to rein your neck in a bit! I don’t know how long you’ve been attending speedway… since I started regularly attending again 20+ years ago, there’s always been tension in our matches, more so at Brough! Your lot ain’t holier than thou either and Rob should think clearly about the comments he’s received himself at the hands of his own fans! and consider why our promotion stopped our junior riders going out… Scott, Jamie and Flinty are ex-riders… they have an idea on track prep and conditions! Why would they send our youngsters out if they were concerned… they have a role to play in the management and welfare of them! Consider also that one of our senior team had his son due to go out in the NJL meeting?! I’m sure he’d have let him ride if there was no issue!
  14. I believe an issue had been raised about Paul Starke’s silencer… The Newcastle and Berwick meetings always had an edge of tension…. On what was a rough track… losing Ty in heat 2 and seeing Kyle speared in the rerun of heat 2… seeing riders like Howarth, Wethers, Clegg, Pijper, Proctor etc bumping around on a very rough track… it all just added to the tension!
  15. The only team that worries me in regards to our home form. Ace has started off better than any of us truly expected… we mustn’t forget though that this is only his 1st 500cc season. As long as he continues to enjoy his racing, stops putting pressure on himself at the gate and develops at his own comfortable pace then that’s job done for him. He’s shown he has the Pijper style and mentality for passing! Going to be bold and predict a 48-42 score line!
  16. Plymouth is Ben’s style of track though!
  17. Berwick have 2 paramedics, 2 ambulances and very good first aiders to back them up …
  18. No comment…. I do remember the days of him getting his lanky leg over the bike Designated driver pal… the last time I had a good sesh was back in November… that’s the downside of having 2 young laddies who are proper mummy’s boys
  19. I wear glasses.. was stood in line with the start gate and thought he got it too! Maybe time for a new prescription!
  20. Heard there was a crack but they couldn’t tell if it was done before the race or during… There did seem to be a hoo-ha… tell your mate to settle doon and keep out the way next time
  21. Aye… but what do they know… we’re all just whinging Fannies!
  22. I asked earlier… was told it was to do with Starke’s silencer! I imagine though as it seems issues went in after the race that not a jot will be done even if there was something!
  23. Newcastle used to have 2… can only assuming their promotion now maybe doing things on the cheap?! Nice to see Birmingham getting things in place now though to prevent this from happening as much as possible again
