I never believed we would rack up a big lead in the 1st place.. I don't get what Ipswich fans were being so whiny for... We've had Richard Hall's 1st meeting for us and he is lacking race fitness... Olly Greenwood who to be fair to him was never gonna provide us with the points Alex could.... missing Claus and TJ too... Yes, Ritchie Worrall has been a very good guest but he's only matched the points we'd have got from our own riders being there!

Missing 2 of our strongest riders.... I don't think so! Anyways... going by updates so far, you lot have been whinging for nowt!

You've lost one home meeting against a good Sheffield team... We've won one home meeting against an average Newcastle team... Think yourselves lucky! Yes, you're weakened but that's still a team coming to represent you that could trouble us! I hope that you are right in all honesty though cos I'd love to see us with a fighting chance of a lead to defend in the 2nd leg!

Are the Ipswich fans just playing the 'Berwick to thrash us card' so they can show utter jubilation once they get close or win the meeting... its still a good witches line up... Branford had a decent enough meeting with the monarchs at our place and Lawson can gate well enough to do damage... Ritchie Worrall is a good guest but I'd have definitely preferred having Claus and TJ.. be interesting to see how our reserve pairing gets on Would love to see a thrashing by us to get morale back up in our camp

That same hopeless guest you had scoring 7&2 from 5 from number 2 for you at home last year despite him not having had a good showing for his team earlier that year! He had 3 rides starting off the graveyard gate 4 alone.

Good motivational speech.. but I suspect Edinburgh will get close to 60 again.... Just get the boys through the meeting and then move on to Saturday when hopefully we can start the PL with a home win!

I'd not heard names bandied around. .. just things were in 'motion' for a replacement. I'd avoid Tero though... don't think that he would be a signing to keep people's interest up...

Matej, Steen or Matty Wethers as senior reserve all season as well as solid top 5... yep, slightly stronger last season... We are pretty much a 5 man team at the minute although I understand they are trying to sort out the number 2 position but Luke is going to take a lot of time to settle into regular PL racing...

Shads is right. .. I remember speaking to a few riders a few years ago before the Andersons came in.. The track was bumpy.. had more dirt on and teams were worried about coming to our place... that was the advantage we had; the fear from other teams! That's all gone now! Regardless of the teams we have, there appears to be no real advantage to us!

I don't think you get how Berwick fans feel.. Against Glasgow we were 12 up.. Yes, they had their TR in Heat 8 but then proceeded to go on and win by 5... Tonight against you lot.. Heat 8... A 1-5 would have been VERY unexpected giving that Sedgman had not scored up till that point.. you then pull away from that point... We seem to switch off somewhat in the 2nd half of a meeting.. happened last season too... Must say... It does get very disheartening when you've followed your club for so long and still don't have much in terms of success that you've seen or can remember seeing (other than 2 4TT trophies; I don't remember being at Oxford for the Gold Cup even though I was). It really is sad to read this... but things need to improve dramatically!

Former devil Ryan Fisher.... I used to really dislike the bloke when riding for the Monarchs. Tonight though, that was just sad to watch! A very very big shadow of the rider he used to be... nowhere near being competitive! The real show stopper from tonight was Jakobsen. . He will be number 1 for Rye at the end of the season.. he really is something special!

Still stand by what I say... result was never in doubt regardless of the fact we were a staggering 2 points ahead at one point!

Yep! Expected result.... Even more reason now why fans won't be returning! People thought I was being pessimistic last week! No, I was and am a realist!

I see the same happening tonight as last week... superb 1st half for Berwick.. Edinburgh then throw a TR in somewhere, claw those points back and a 5-1 to them in 15 to take the win.... Cynicism aside.. any Monarchs fan who thinks they'll take nowt from tonight is a bit deluded in my mind... or is that just a reason to big yourselves up more than some do already?

Don't expect much from David here Tigers fans....
