  1. A double home win... I’ll take that considering what I thought was coming into the meeting The Dany G of the last 2 meetings should hang around a while... he’s definitely played a massive part in us winning last night! Ty Proctor... what’s happened to him too... that was a very very poor performance from him last night One question though... as a genuine fan... the heat 15 pick.. why not Jye? Is he fully fit? Just thought it was strange putting Leon in; not that he didn’t deserve it; but just knowing he was gonna have his 5 rides in the NDL meeting also? Or was it just a case of we had the home win, knowing they were putting Morris and Douglas and just hoping for the best?
  2. Poole’s top end strength should see them win this but I’d like to think we could at least put on a show and make them have to earn this. With the gating and effort that was shown last week against Scunny, you just never know... we are just that unpredictable!
  3. That’s how it should be... not just cos of the winning result but the racing too!! Much much better! Leon has been on something ... that boy has just lifted himself to a completely new level so far... brilliant for us to see. As he said last night, he’s heading into a very busy period for himself so hopefully comes out of it at the other end unscathed.. just knackered the longer he stays at reserve the more we benefit but based on last night I expect he’ll not be reserve come the end of the year... That was the Dany G we need that came to play last night.. he just looked a different rider... completely motivated... we need the same next week for sure! Scores like that from him can make the difference in big meetings! Jye understandably still struggling a wee bit following last weeks crash but solid points still... Much better from NBJ too... yes, he was solid last week but last night he notches it up to another level too good timing from him as he looks to be moving to the number 1 position when new averages kick in! I know results can impact how some see a meeting... but I could take home defeats better if we saw some of the passes we did last night... Onto next week now... if you were to ask me last week how I feel about Leicester coming I’d have said “not good”.... foreseeing a big home defeat... BUT... IF we ride like we did last night then it’s possible we could push for a very big morale boosting home win! I’ll be there... as hopeful as ever... expecting the unexpected
  4. Am I one of those folk who needs a shake? I’ve bought merchandise, bought a season ticket... I pay into the supporters club 5-1 draw. I’ll continue to turn up every week to ensure I do my part in supporting the club but I’ll have a moan if I want to thank you very much. That doesn’t make me any less a supporter. Aye, just getting to be back trackside was great in itself, normality as such on the way, but people saw lots of ifs and buts in the line up pre COVID too I’m afraid! And it showed! And by the way, take a look at those you say “are moaning”. They’re ones who’ve been going for years and will continue to still attend as long as the speedway is around! We just happen to care and want to see the promotion rewarded for the work they’ve clearly put into it!
  5. I refrained from posting last night! That was a very very bitter pill to swallow! And already, even though it’s only the 1st meeting, a 12 point home defeat is not a good way to start! Some may see this as moaning, but trust me, I speak as a very long time genuine fan of Berwick. I’ve spent thousands following my club over the years, sacrificed family holidays, made excuses to miss birthdays just so I could get to away meetings #imabadfriend We are seriously going to struggle using RR for Coty. Nobody knows when the South American borders will be opened and even when so, he’ll have to quarantine over here! IMO, that needs sorted ASAP! We need Dany G on rubbish hot home form and that was sadly not so last night as can be said with Spud too. Losing Jye was a big blow for us... immediately throwing more pressure on to Leon and Kyle in the process. Our 2 reserves definitely showed huge promise though. Leon scoring 9&2 which should have been more but for his bike failing when leading heat 4. Racing in the 1st meeting was not brilliant... going to have to turn it around against Scunthorpe! on the upside, I did enjoy the NDL meeting against Belle Vue where there was actually some memorable passes... Greg Blair being the stand out!
  6. I got mine back in December when they opened it for the morning. Very very smart jacket :approve:
  7. To me, I believe the results do matter for us.... yes, development is important but teams are also in this to win it. We’ve taken the plunge in going into NDL... for it to be viable, particularly the 2 standalone NDL meetings, it’s better that we have a team capable of winning. We’ve seen how fickle fans can be in the championship when we ain’t doing well.. I don’t wanna see a struggle/ empty stadiums for the NDL team!
  8. The two things which swung this for the Devils were the magnificent performance from George Rothery and our 3&4 pairing getting done over 14-4 in their races together... I said beforehand to the hubby that we’d get a point... that we did... okay, disappointing not to get more but there you go... Another very good show from Leon. Aye, it’s expected of him in this league but if anyone had seen him in his last meeting there, I didn’t think he’d get 13 points. Decent showing from Kyle too... when these two get properly dialled in they will be very very hard to beat anywhere! But Kieran Douglas deserves major plaudits too.... paid 10 from him which, if I’m right, would be one of if not his best scores in a competitive league.. All in all, a decent point and a good start for us ☺️
  9. I’m going for a solid Bullets win with the only real trouble coming from Nathan Greaves! just looking forward to some on track action but it’s gonna be so hard just being up the road from it, hearing it and not actually being trackside :(
  10. Dany and Coty are really gonna have to step up in the top 5 both home and away this year! We had the benefit of Coty at reserve in 2019 and even then he struggled some meetings... yes, he had a brilliant end of season meeting in the double header but we are going to need that every meeting next year! Dany... he himself knows he needs to perform more on the road.. struggles at the smaller tracks/most tracks for sure... and Kent are coming up next year.. oh dear! Good young English reserves which I am happy with though!
  11. Wouldn’t say it was broken.... I’d say it’s slightly wonky..... could do with a bit of tweaking to get it just right .....
  12. Seeing the weather has made me decide against travelling too... too close to Cardiff weekend to potentially lose money on fixtures
  13. Bit of a pantomime villain. Came out after the Cook exclusion to have “words” with Mr.McGregor. I heard there was a few “pleasantries” and he was booed off
  14. Time to get Billy out... throw some of the wet stuff down... sure Glasgow will like it
  15. Hard meeting to call. If the Rebels get nowt from Armadale tonight and we do it makes it very interesting. I’d like to think our boys have been told to go shee-ite or bust whilst it is still mathematically possible!
  16. Weather updates will be very much appreciated I’ve a bloody long day tomorrow with work and then coming straight up when I’ve finished!
