In theory IF the Danes are still weakened without Pedersen and the Swedes dont have Jonsson back we should be in a position of getting ourselves a medal. We havent had a good final in a while now - now is the time to prove that we can still mix it when we are at full strength. If the fighting spirit is as good as it was last night, then in theory we stand as good a chance as anyone. However saying that - think the Poles will blow everyone else away.

disagree Tellboy. When ive been to World championships - and notably the GP challenge at Coventry last year there were a whole array of travelling Poles from there respective clubs. Some i tried to speak to but spoke not a word of English. The hard core travelling Poles live in Poland. Im sure Cardiff attracts its `english` Poles, much in the same way that some people only go to Cardiff and nowhere else as an event.

great point. Id like to have seen the Poles, danes and Brits introduce a price that suited ALL of the countries - not just the hosting nation. As is usual tho - each country does its own thing, with little regard to other nations. Im sure Kings Lynn will be packed to the rafters - but will it be sold out like in Poland???

the point being, Poland speedway scene is buzzing, they give the fans what they want at a VERY reasonable price. Indeed if you put the wages into proportion then that is a fair point. However not the best way to entice the Polish fans to flock here and pay our prices. Yet they do, which just goes to show they CAN afford it. And MUCH cheaper to watch in HD, thanks for the advice. If i was organised id have gone to Poland the weekend in preference. But sometimes work doesnt allow one to get to every match

It gives us all chance to see riders we dont ordinarily see and how else are they gonna get onto the World stage? The trouble with the Czech`s is they have been a spent force for 10 years or more. The Drymls may of 1 time been of a decent standard but now there riding on low averages from a mostly reserve position. Its time they started bringing through some of the youngsters - they would have still struggled anyway. It has some merit i reckon. Gives even 2nd place some security for the following season.

A pretty decent GP, mainly because the track held out well. Gutted for Gollob, he looks likes a world champion elect imho. Holder deserved his win but what a silly pram moment with Crump. Talking of idiots, well pedersen has shown that he is still the bad assed attitude rider he always was. Good win by tai whilst the dirty Danes went at each other. Idiots. If they had raced the race they might have got more points. The Brits , as expected, were leight weights. Good to see fast Freddie getting to grips with the GP at last.

Actually that is the part i agree on. SKY should have really got the captions correct, but im sure they are happy if they can link a rider to an EL club because of there doubling up role. Technically the double uppers ride for both teams tho.

Lets be clear. There was little wrong with the recent seedings system. Gone are the day when England ruled the speedway world, there was an abundance of decent British riders and we were a high profile sport. You cant compare the OLD style qualifying rounds to the current ones or the importance more importantly. We want a British Final that will show the best there is - not allow the likes of Richardson to not qualify because he is ill. No wonder the Poles or Swedes or Danes have no fears tuning in to watch that uneven line up. I suppose you would prefer a one off world final with half a dozen inferior riders fighting it out i guess. As far as SKY goes - of course there EL bias as they should. As expected i was correct never looked capable of mastering Monmore. In an EL type meeting , then no. Completely agree. Thats why most were struggling. we put DIRT on our track Totally agree. That`s why i saved my money. As for the meeting, certainly warmed up once they all had had a couple of heats under there belt. Yet again shows why the track is voted best track as often as it does. Some superb heats that went some way of soothing the dull first hour. Well done to Barker, deserves resrve place at Cardiff. Why oh why the BSPA try to make the qualifiers fair when PL boys can up the anti in there own league yet, as expected, are fodder in a EL line up. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE BSPA - reward those riders that move up to the EL with a place in the Final and let the PL makeweights fight for the remainder of the places. Expected more from Schrammy, however the rest were as poor as i expected. Tho Jason`s win over his brother was a great heat. Glad he wants to try get a EL place. Lets face it, its the only way he will progress in his career.
