  1. Many thanks , wouldnt have even thought of that!
  2. Think that the mould of ensuring all countries presenting GP`s having a representation was broken in yesterdays GP with Ward bein given the wild card pick ahead of the presenting nation. I`m sure that the Brits would want a British rider to support at Cardiff but i doubt not having one would distract from the attendance. Dont think the atmosphere would be the same tho as Harris, woffy or whoever represents their country gets the mightiest roar at every time they are on track. Think BSI should ensure the wildcard for Cardiff is a GB rider tho at the very least. Will make the British final even more vital. Harris has gone backwards this season big time and im not sure there is a reasonable enough argument to keep him in next season. The best way of sorting out riders for next years grand prix is to give those that miss out on the top 8 a chance to compete with those that missed out on the GP qualifier a chance to re-qualify by a meaningful meeting. You can still have picks - but maybe 2 less. There really isnt any Brit that at this stage is worthy of a pick - not woffy and certainly not Barker. Neither have done enough this season to show that they would warrant it.
  3. I am sure there are some posters that feel its ok to subtract all of his points and Coventry`s because they feel its appropriate. However that is, quite naturally, an absurd idea. If the riders have nothing to hide then that is a good call. However a more sensible approach would be to still pick 2 riders but instead of at random the examiners should keep a list (accessible to all how examine) that ensures all riders have had at least 1 check per season.
  4. Who says he is being charged with using the silencer in other meetings??? I havent suggested anything other than guilty as charged. The correct points were already taken away (his points and coventry`s points for the Lakeside meeting). You cant charge on retrospect - unless there is proof to back it up.
  5. Exactly - one is guilty the other is innocent.
  6. Strictly speaking that isnt true. They were used in the early weeks of the season until riders complained and it got deferred till this season. It`s sleep APNOEA
  7. Thank you. Couldnt care less what Brum do. KK didnt use the illegal silencers so therefore isnt likely to face any ban. Not saying that is right - it stinks to be honest. Hopefully he and EVERY rider will face stringent checks and tests at meetings in future. No matter how you dress the ed situation up he is ultimately responsible. I see it as no different to a rider who is struggling and sacks a member of his back up crew to try and make a difference, the RIDER has that responsibility to his career. If it is proved the person Ed sacked `deliberatly` went out of his way to ruin Ed`s career then Ed might just have a point. It would be a bit like a premiership footballer blaiming the coach for saying he is fit and then goes and gets injured. I like Ed, think he has had a decent year - but all that has been tainted by the use of an illegal piece of equipment.
  8. You are really comparing a rider injured (didnt ride in Sweden or England this week - and had 3 falls Monday) to a rider caught cheating??
  9. The only person who isnt and shouldnt be proud this morning is Ed himself. It isnt like any of the forum users encouraged him or his team to cheat. Lets keep it real who is the guilty party - certainly not forum users who are responding to the FACTS as we know them.
  10. Thats the problem. That is highly speculative.
  11. definetly seems an `im innocent guv, i knew nothing about it`. Despite the words of remorse - the buck falls with Kennett.
  12. That was what i always assumed. They are sealed units arent they?
  13. Absolutely. Sandhu is all about the higher moral ground. Cannot see Eddie being kept as a Bees asset now or being used again. It certainly will be a test of that moral high ground he likes to maintain.
  14. You wouldnt be able to replace Eddie with Hans anyway.
  15. He wont be going to Cov!!! Average to high for them to benefit from riders on a low average again. However Eddie will be snapped up somewhere else im sure. Whoever signs him (or if Cov continue to use him) will be supporting someone who (it would appear) has been caught cheating. As Scott Nicholls has hinted at, this could be just the tip of a small iceberg. Will be very interesing to see if riders now suddenly start struggling on `new` silencers! Not sure that a ban for rest of the season is appropriate. But then i`m not sure what is. If a 7 day ban has been suggested then that is what it should be. Eddie will have to take the flak that comes with this after 7 days - and whichever club he rides for will get huge derision and fan backlash. That is for Eddie and the club to deal with. Of course there is always Eddie`s side - which would put the full spin on it. Hopefully Speedway Star will carry a full interview with him in the next few weeks. That is just SO cruel! And if they cant they will continue using Ed (which i think they will anyway). Very hard to take this so called moral high ground of the closed season seriously if they continue to use him after such a strong worded press statement. I`m sure this will run and run for a while.
  16. Oh my!!!! Naughty Kennett. Looks like Lakeside acted within the regulations and proved to be correct. Cheats never prosper.
  17. I seriously hope the hint of a site comes to something this time. Cradley fans have to be the most committed and passionate fans around. GOOD LUCK!!!
