Darcy Showing What A Pro He Is Again
stevebrum replied to speedibee's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
You reckon? The majority of top boys have health, physios and dietitians to advise them. Doubt they would mess all that up. I was going to say it is like silencergate, but really it is nothing like the same. The plot thickens..................................... -

And should make a statement to that fact if indeed that is correct (i hope that is true because i hope he doesn't think its ok for kids to take drugs) because the quote is defaming his name. -

I must admit i had to stop for a minute as i couldn't believe starman actually posted that and that it appears he actually believes it. Talk about being in a minority of one, although i am sure that some other Poole-ites will spring to his and Middlo`s defence because we all know how blinkered some Poole fans are. Thankfully the sensible ones can see that Middlo's actions are totally indefensible and are totally out of place for our National team manager to make. We wont win the WC for many a year now so there are several candidates that can do a similar job. Middlo has to go as National manager, and clarify the comments ASAP. -
It is what a lot of forum posters do. They write off a riders chances before a wheel has been turned. I am sure the riders concerned or sensible posters don't worry to much about the opinions of those who think speedway is only ridden on paper.

Matt Ford To Be Commended

Hopefully Ford will have a word with Middlo about his crass comment as well. -

Some said the same of Chris Holder. No such thing as never. All a cover up obviously. like we would expect anything else from the loose cannon. See that the link below gives the kind of response we would expect. A travesty Middlo hasnt admitted the ridiculous quote was either out of order or back it up. He needs to because whilst the story (below) gives a better flavour the previous crass comment needs addressing asap. http://www.bournemou...says_boss_Ford/ -

If he was thinking properly he shouldn't have made such a crass remark, However he has. It is no good pre guessing what he probably meant to say. It is is the public domain what he actually said. He really needs to comment and clarify the comment because right now he shouldn't be made welcome as the National team manager. -

I'm in shock. There is something you say that makes sense. -

Or maybe he should be the one to realise what it takes to be a professional sportsman. Hopefully so yes. Completely agree. Indeed. I guess it will come down to the point that he has been dealt with in Oz. They seem to think it is ok he can get his visa and come to the UK (from the oz website link). They must think it is ok or they know how soft the UK is on such matters. He certainly has the bad attitude that comes with most top footballers. Time he started to grow up. What do you expect from the multi named poster? Just put it on ignore, its so much easier. He posts on here, you can get in touch with him. So why don't you then. -

Makes you wonder doesn't it. His comments aren't compatible with that of the National team Manager. -
It would be great if Ricky was able to put onto his average. The evidence is that he could hit 6 from the main team and i see no reason why he won't improve a little on his starting average. With maybe a little more from Proctor we really need the big guns and the bottom 2 to make the bigger improvements.

Strangely all gone quiet since the stats prove the point.

If you are referring to the sk8r thing (take 200 in the KKS aliases) thankfully i only get to see its posts when quoted by others. No love lost. Plus its goths not sk8r chic that works for me

Fine, in my opinion Coventry would replace Eastbourne in your bottom 3. Wide awake. As explained above.

Biased or what. Coventry look bottom 3 as well.

The British Final 13th May
stevebrum replied to Animal's topic in Speedway Testimonials & Individual and Shared Events
You make a fair point actually. For it to be fair then the track needs to be one that is prepared well and can have access a few hours before to allow practise to back place. Are there really many tracks that could provide access at say 4 or 5 PM on a week night (assuming that is at SKY`s request?)?? -

Why would they need practice? Plus the only sensible answer to that question would be the same as any meeting - greyhounds run till 6.30 (bit before) and only then can the greyhound track be prepared to be covered before any racing can start. -

Trick track? It is only newcomers to the EL that will find it a trick track. The vast majority of EL riders (and i am sure some NL riders too) love riding it and for the majority isn't a trick track anymore given the regularity of appearances made due to riding the track more often than seasons gone by when a club appeared once a season. The trick track idea seems to still be peddled by some to try and dis-credit it as a bona fide good race track. Those who probably watch their meetings on a big track will travel to Monmore and feel it is a trick track, but i bet most riders wont agree with that anymore these days. Seasons gone by maybe a trick track, no longer tho. So do most tracks. -
Hopefully we wont FB, however its all assumption until a wheel is turned anyway. Let hope its a good season with teams in contention all the way thru. Jury appears out by some on the Wolves side, but then so many have predicted Eastbourne to finish bottom 2 seasons running so i don't think i will lose too much sleep for now.

Maybe, maybe not. The fact it gets a regular vote of best track, best prepared track says different. But it certainly seems to be the home of the British final these days, and as far as a race track goes i would agree it is a worthy venue. Would it be better at somewhere like Sheffield or Peterborough? Facility wise quite possibly. -
So have some named their predictions,
