Well said that lady! Wont stop people still saying he is an Aussie wannabie At least he rode with pride for GB, there are several that can learn from that. -

Well thought out post and you make a very good point. Doesnt matter who manages GB, they dont have the resources to sustain any meaningful challenges - and that includes the riders too. Tho he has a point about batchelor Seriously tho Batchelor showed last season he can do it on the World Stage although it is yet to be seen if that was a one season wonder. If Ward is declared fit tomorrow he will take Batch`s place as at the moment he is the Aussies weak link. -

They are using their young riders . mikkel B will be back for Saturday in place of Madsen i reckon. Plus they are doing the right thing. Mikkel and MJJ are 2 stars of the future. In fact stroke that they are already doing it on the World stage. -

So its ok for Nicholls to be embarrased beyond belief????? Hardly a great view point. -

Congratulations to Scott for scoring so well against the Czechs and the Germans When it comes to the race offs he has gone missing for a while now. Nicholls is being exposed when it matters. We wont be in the qualifiers next year having reached the race off . Its time to start blooding riders for the future - or we have no future. We arent strong enough to make the final with the top 4 we have, time to blood at least one young rider. If we dont build we may as well accept we are good enough for 2nd in our round (if at home) and should reach 3rd in the race off. Time to start re-building. -

Nicholls and king hardly looked much better. So we just keep wheeling out riders who prove time and time again they are longer valid on the World stage? How do we get the next generation on to the next level if we dont give them some exposure? Id rather have seen Barker or Bridger struggle than watch an out of depth Nicholls who should do better but is past the international scene now. -

I have to add be-grudging congratulations to the Danes who seem to think its ok to swear live on TV in interviews - professional NOT. -

Some pride for GB, but we just cant race when it gets slick. Surely its time to let Nicholls go, he continues to fail on the big stage. I believe we should have put someone like Auty in. I would have let Richie Worral have a go if he was fit. Lets face it, he wouldnt have scored much less than Nicholls. King we should perservere with but its time to push kids like Worral, auty who are in form and riding quick in the UK and form the team around Tai and Bomber who always give 110% for their country. -
Team Gb V Team Australia Test Match - 1st August 2012.

If the weather is great it could be a no brainer. and, like you say Steve - its an ENGLAND team - as it should be all along -

great idea. But id rather they concentrate fitting in league fixtures than filling in with meeting like this. Whilst the Aussies will be obvious bet Kurtz and davies get a run out at reserve. Hardly makes it world class if so. -

Woffy showing why he deserves to be Brit in the GP`s. We are at least well in this. Still think that the battle will be between Poland and the Danes come the last few heats. -

England could spring a suprise IF they ride with passion for #RICO. However like most have said, the Danes have to be massive favourites but cant see Poland lieing down and not being happy with 2nd and a non spot in the final. I expect Poland, Denmark, GB, Czech in order of finishing. -

I like the enthusiasm, better than monotone know nothings. -
Absolutely spot on. If it has to be in then 8 points should be the minimum. How a team 6 down can potentially draw level in one race is plain crazy.

And the BSPA must take a huge part in the decline of the sport in this country. All we need is one world class rider who could mount a consistent challenge on the World Championship and fans of the sport in the UK might be tempted back. I agree that i dont see any reason why England couldnt be a nation all by itself, The Scots and Welsh im sure have little interest in the National side anyway and of course that is their (and your) right so. However with no money being put into the future of the sport here it is going nowhere fast. It wont stop the Brits getting behind their nation every year however unless we build we will not just stay static but will fall further behind even the nations further afield than us. It was only a couple of years ago we were saying that the Russians were fast approaching. Think it is fair to say they have zoomed past us now and are a potent force. Maybe our only saving grace is the National Stadium at Belle Vue. Will the authorities put in a structure to ensure that sort of facility is used to its fullest or will it just be Belle Vue`s home track and host Championship and World Cup rounds?? Probably the latter. Good to have a balanced conversation. -

Well fancy trying to confuse me with a non related speedway analogy Could you say it a few more times - i dont think 5 is enough The vast majority are so thats all that matters. You dont have to support England. No one is asking you too. What a shame you dont have any Scots in the team to support, i wouldnt why that is?? No one is `buying into the team GB nonesense`. But we are just patriotic when its to do with your country. How dreadful you dont share that view. Not. Quite likely, but they are miles ahead of us anyway so its to be expected. -

Well said that man. Couldnt agree with you more. No idea what point you are trying to make. Are you saying dont use Woffy (our 2nd best Brit) because he wont ride well against the Aussies?? The point is woffy CAN ride for Oz if he choices. He chooses GB. -

But Barker isnt in good form and King has risen to Birmingham`s number 1. If you go by his last few scores for the Bees then that is questionable. Never looked a threat on the World stage, sadly to say. You could say Holder shouldnt delibrately knock someone off at this level. Correct call i agree. -

Think Tai has been honest about his ambitions. He has said he wants a good season behind him before commiting. He also said on SKY/Twitter that he should be wild-carded to Cardiff instead of having to qualify via the British Final, He has a good point. Who else uses this way of wild carding?? I believe he also said if Bomber cant do it in the GP`s let him have a go! I know he started the season saying he wanted to qualify by right. However if he comes back well from his injury and finishes the season well i think he would think twice if offered a GP spot next season. I mean, the thoughts of Vaculik, ward, MJ Jensen, Tai possibly being pit forward it looks quite exciting!
