  1. Spin king has done the stats on Auty v Kurtz at Sheffield (post not far above). Kurtz is the better rider at Sheffield without question.
  2. A typical blue tint response. And a flawed response. Doyle wasn’t young when he rode for Poole. I stand by my point however tho what that has to do with Wolves is baffling. Wolves have in general been loyal to riders which is a different position to Poole anyway. But feel free naming riders that got better when leaving Wolves to make your point. I’ll even start you with one, Musielak. And you are still trying to defend that dreadful track?? Good luck championship fans, welcome to the world of the blue tints.
  3. Swindon have a look of the team to beat again next season already anyway but yes there are question marks over the bottom 3. Ellis I thought was a NL standard rider only until this season when it proves that riding often really can help bring you along. Gonna be a huge task to step up even more to second string or senior reserve. Big ask imho. As for Jordan, not seen him. Although his scores in the CL have improved. Looks a steady improver maybe in the mould of Douglas? Well worth the gamble I’d say. Rowe would appear out of his depth but he has made significant improvement in the CL and held done a second string role. Plus there are on paper equally weak number 7s. Again probably worth the gamble I’d say.
  4. They were 3 riders that I thought of too however what is clear you would have used the same argument with me also. As I’ve said the question was answered but you have chosen to move the goal posts as expected. It’s the typical response from a blinkered blue blooded fan.
  5. Josh at championship level would be my pick over Todd, I’d agree. However the stats at Sheffield show Todd is better this season. Thankfully, for Sheffield, there are a few weaker number 7s next season but still expect him to struggle away.
  6. Finishing 1st to 4th at the end of the season is the first success. Makes no difference if that’s 1st or 4th tho. Sweden and Poland don’t have much bigger league systems yet those are measured a success. Sweden ran a season with only 7 teams in recent years. In an ideal world we would have 10 - 12 teams in each league plus a proper system for ensuring the next generation have a proper education system towards the top tier. We can all dream tho.
  7. You were given 3 by Steve0 but you choose to ignore them. If you are going to keep changing the goalposts then it’s pointless getting into a debate about it.
  8. How desperate must a team be to scrape the lowest of the barrel for a number one, probably the worst number one in history.
  9. It’s only because with the points limit it points to a number one signing with one of JT or SM. If it happens it happens. I’m sure Wolves fans will find out more on Tuesday anyway. It could be an interesting talk in one way or another.
  10. Don’t know how it’s hilarious tho. The bottom 3 have great potential to improve. More than probably any of the other 6 teams bottom 3 when announced. The bottom end is fine (although I’d agree Nicholls for Nicol would be an even better option on paper) it’s just if the top 2 are staying the same is the biggest issue as to why we are building 2 points below the limit.
  11. Riders generally do improve when they move away from Poole.
  12. Ditto virtually every top GP rider. Woffy and Fred are 2 riders that are doing that. I’d love it if either return and prove me wrong. Of course you only have Pedersen as proof that top stars are flocking back to the UK. Wont stop me hoping that Wolves and other clubs bring back those stars. I’d love you to be right, which would make a change.
  13. How is it missing the point? Belle Vue had Fricke, Kings Lynn had Lambert and both teams failed to make the play offs. A strange world if ‘having ambition’ means you sign a true number one and then fail to make the play offs. Ambition to make the play off and Final? Ipswich delivered. We don’t know if Ipswich have or haven’t landed a number one yet anyway.
  14. In truth there is no argument. Todd is better at Sheffield than Auty, as proven by stats. Only someone who has no knowledge of the CL would argue different.
  15. You said they lacked ambition and my point disagreed.
  16. The fact that Ipswich were a top 4 side virtually all season long and made the Play Off Final it would suggest ambition isn’t lacking. Everyone wrote them off before a wheel was turned this year so it would be foolish to do the same again imho.
  17. Splitting hairs anyway. Tracks will see an increase when Sheffield are in town.
  18. The Pedersen factor will see Sheffield comfortably replace any shortcomings that Poole might bring.
  19. As we’ve not seen the other 3 yet I wouldn’t totally rule them out. Think it’s a mistake to rule out Ipswich again as they comfortably made the top 4 this year before Iversen was signed. Id be careful ruling them out again. As for Wolves, makes no sense to build 2 points below limit but even still a decent side if the duo sign.
  20. IF we are looking at similar teams to this season then Wolves will still be strong but would be outclassed by Swindon just like the play offs. IF it’s Masters And Thorssell as the last 2 then it’s well under the points limit despite looking solid and improvement throughout. However if Wolves have pulled off a top rider at number one that could make us front runners tho.
  21. Now the top 7 is confirmed Swindon will start as massive favourites with a way stronger top 4 than Sheffield.
  22. Who is missing Poole already? Nah me neither.
