  1. I know you appear to be unable to follow logic or a simple conversation so feel free to check the replies above. You suggested we need to do something quick when the transfer window opens when if its deemed the management made a mistake but if that’s the case they can change the line up now if they want to. Any team can.
  2. No one is suggesting it isn’t, FACT.
  3. And?? Peterborough had their team named last season and that soon changed before a wheel was even turned.irrelevant.
  4. It’s all assumptive based on no facts. Im sure Scott would have jumped at the chance personally but of course no one actually knows!
  5. Nonsense. We can do something now if that was the plan!
  6. Yep, no argument from me on that one. I don’t think you will find many Wolves fans who were surprised we signed Nicol and not Nicholls. Just perhaps Wolves are looking to the future and also maybe being savvy with this ongoing widening of the points conversion that we could possibly keep the same 1-7 next season. Looking at other teams number 7s Nicol is a stand out so I fully expect him to add to his starting average. And let’s face it if he achieves anything close to 5 he will be pretty close to replicating the rider he is replacing! (In Howarth). So maybe not as weak as some think. But like you say, using Nicol instead of Nicholls is odd.
  7. It’s irrelevant. The point being made is that Scott May be out of a top flight team because of clubs signing foreign riders. Good on the likes of Belle Vue and Wolves for looking to the future. I also hope Scott has a team place in the top flight. He deserves one.
  8. You made the point that a ‘long serving and well respected British rider’ has been left out at the expense of another rider. To be honest that point really is immaterial right now because we don’t even know if Scott has been left out of a top flight place. The bigger picture is that Belle Vue are investing in Lidsey as a long term prospect. It appears that Wolves are doing the same with Becker and Nicol. In that case there is no difference whatsoever.
  9. Fully agree, I expect Jensen to have a higher average by end of year. Nor me, it’s a barmy comparison.
  10. I take it you are equally appalled that Belle Vue are using Lidsey when they could have used Nicholls and a 3 pointer at reserve?
  11. He was a huge revelation. I don’t think anyone saw that coming. If he maintains his average then he will have done well too, but looks capable of more. Wright on the other hand is more than a point away as far as averages go and I grant you in a poor performing team. However with no clear leader at Belle Vue he will need to up his game as well if the Aces are to have a successful season. He has been a very slow burner so whether he has an extra point in him this season is very debatable. As he is a Brit I hope he has a great season.
  12. If Kildemand hits the ground running then I’d probably agree you would be joint favourites. He is a huge risk in my opinion but personally looking forward to see his all action style. Jensen actually improved his average as the season went on so obviously I disagree with your point. As far as I know he never rode at reserve either.
  13. I’m surprised that anyone would think different! Well unless you are a red, black and white supporter.
  14. You need to look at predictions made on here before you put a bigger foot in it.
  15. Don’t think anyone is worried about the Aces anyway.
  16. I’d go with (assuming team positions are correct for those teams incomplete!) 1. Doyle 2. Andersen 3. Wright 4. Lawson 5. Cook 6. Covatti 7. Nicol
  17. But everyone remembers the losers who didn’t make the play offs #justnotgoodenough More than happy to disagree. For me ... Swindon then Sheffield then the rest (so far)
  18. If they wanted Nicholls they would have signed him. Would have seemed the logical thing to do. They are putting a lot of faith in Nicol to deliver.
  19. Will be hilarious if and when we win the league then won’t it! remember it’s not how you start, it’s how you finish - like the reason we made the play offs in 2019.
  20. I don’t get how Belle Vue are anywhere near a similar standard to the Robins tho so can’t agree they stand out at all. A top 3 of Doyle/Batchelor/Jensen is likely to be match winners against any other team and up against Kurtz/Kildemand/Wright it’s a no contest. It would need all 3 to have good seasons with much improved averages to even come close. In saying that there is great potential for improvement in all 3. As it stands they have no clear number one who will get big points and often. The lower end tho is the slightly improvement on the Robins. Ellis V Bewley could go either way. Pit Robins top 4 against the Aces top 4 it’s not even a contest again tho. So it’s the bottom 3 for both sides that will make the huge difference. On paper Worrall and Lidsey are head and shoulders clear of Stewart and Perks. Id say Rowe would beat Etheridge on every track bar the NSS. Etheridge needs to prove he isn’t a one track pony. Im not saying I don’t rate this Aces side btw before Aces fans start having a go. They just aren’t in the same league as the Robins on paper.
  21. No different to last year with Ipswich, whilst virtually everyone still predicted them bottom prior to the start of the season. And we all know how that ended. All completed sides are a threat before the season starts. Some more than others.
  22. I don’t see it that way because if all the riders we expect to improve do then those extra points will soon be gobbled up. However if we get off to a poor start there will be massive scope to bring in a big hitter assuming someone is expecting to come of course.
  23. I can’t see any side yet to complete will be anywhere near the level of Swindon, miles ahead of the rest. I’ll have a stab at the rest when all teams are finalised.
