Wolves Speedway potential new stadium???
stevebrum replied to Pauldoveyspeedway's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
They have already discussed they are looking at land available. These things don’t and won’t happen overnight. Based on what exactly. If it’s possible then CVS and Adams are perfectly placed to make it happen. -
As expected, total nonsense. But finished well lower down the averages at the end of the year, and a huge disparity between home and away average.

I’m not sure what there is to say if there is no update tho?? -
They are a very poor class tho these days. Which kind of makes Zagar at best mediocre these days. Time will tell of course, I hope he does a decent job for the Brummies. In saying that I’m not expecting much.
-
If he is so good how come his away average last time with the Aces was vastly inferior to his home one. Can’t remember the exact figure but wasn’t it something like 5ish? As good as he may have looked he will and is one of those that could easily not be bothered if conditions aren’t to his satisfaction. Milik dropped straight to reserve at the first set of averages in 2024, so did Pawlicki once he had ridden enough matches. Both had similar averages to Zagar. KK was equally as poor last time he ride here hence why Lynn got rid of him in weeks. Very little difference between all of them with consistency and commitment.
-
Must rank as one of the worst signings since KK was tempted back last year to be as expected let go of within weeks. Zagar is good at the NSS but not interested anywhere else. Can see him dropping to reserve within a month.
-
Definetly looking weaker than last season. but riders on lower averages like Becker could make all the difference.
-
IF he wanted a full UK season he would go whoever offered him the most money like most riders. Pretty much end of.
-
The views from a now casual fan should be relevant. The terraces were noticeably fuller this season whenever I went than most recent seasons in the lower division. I don’t need attendance figures to make a point.
-
I’d agree, whenever I went this season attendance was noticeably increased.
-
Its already been discussed attendance was up last season in the Premiership.
-
No surprise on Fricke back as number one but as usual likely to go missing if they make the play offs.
-
Without question that’s one hell of a team assembled. Cant see anyone building as strong as that.
-
Lidsey was hot property during the Polish covid season, he seems in freefall since. And Cook finished with a higher Aces in 24. Cook looks on the way up, as evidenced by his startling form in Poland this season.
-
Can see only minimal changes for the Aces next season. Lidsey will probably stay over Cook. Think Lidsey is at his level now so I’d go with Cook personally.
-
Thanks for showing your complete ignorance of the sport.
-
It isn’t. It isn’t. It’s been mentioned many times. Monday night is the only night available for speedway at PB so not a chance. Not a number one, too expensive and way overrated plus well past his sell by best.
-
Despite him being 2nd highest scorer in the final 1st leg?
-
You might need a GP star but you will probably end up with Fricke. 🙂
-
I’m not sure even he can defend p**s poor.
-
What a damp squib of a meeting. Was there finally a pass after the 2nd bend in heat 15? Fricke always goes missing in the big meetings. He ensured the Lions had no chance with one win in 8 races. Pathetic. Becker was awful. An absolutely dreadful meeting devoid of passing or action.
-
Fricke always goes missing in the big meetings. 11 points over 2 legs is pathetic for a rider on a 9 point plus average. Leicester were never going to win either leg with a dreadful number one performance. Becker equally very poor.

The problem without the play offs is the season can be done really early for several teams or a dominant team can limp over the line with little to no fan fare. september is often a wet month so it almost needs a mini play off to decide the title end of August. UK speedway in the top flight would be virtually redundant without TV so for me I’m happy to go along with the play offs like other sports do. Works for me.
-
Yep always does. I’d not want him as number one of any club I supported.
