  1. And one of the track staff confirmed track was very wet from the weekend rain.
  2. It’s a given, Craig is miles ahead of Ben as things stand. It’s a no brainer replacement if possible. Must admit I wouldn’t really want him anywhere near a team of mine however if he fit at wolves to replace the other Cook it would be a no brainer.
  3. I’m surprised anyone has even suggested that but if there is a Poole rider involved of course there must be a discussion.
  4. Definetly Jakobsen at reserve should have ensured a strong reserve all season. Even he has been a little disappointing.
  5. I see it a different way. When you have a team of 3rd heat leaders and second strings you are going to have matches when they all click and you do a great job and a good score (last week against Wolves as an eg) but you will have more matches scoring 30 or less because of no real genuine solid scoring. This team was never going to threaten the top 4 imho.
  6. Nothing suspect. http://www.wolverhampton-speedway.com/news.php?extend.3663
  7. When compared to the Emils, Doyles, Lamberts (which I did) he isn’t in the same league. On the world stage he is a bang average rider. SHOULD be doing better than he is, and you know it.
  8. The problem is Fricke isn’t really a class number one like Doyle, Sayfutdinov, Pedersen, Lambert, Bewley. That showed up in the GPs. Yes he won one however was literally no where else in the others he competed in. Plus this exposes the Lambert for Fricke switch in the play offs. A world class rider replacing a bang average rider because his average allowed.
  9. IF averages allowed Nicholls for Cook is a no brainer. Seems unlikely tho because averages have increased and Scott probably won’t want a full time top flight position. Wolves are in the same position as last season. Strong top 5, weak reserves. Having a strong reserve wins you league titles every time. Wolves will probably lose at home if one of the top 5 has an off night (as evidenced last season) and those will be the costly mistakes that might prevent them making the top 4. Only really 5 teams looking like a challenge for the top 4 this season so winning at home and collecting bonuses are the key.
  10. At least I’m consistent, which is something KK will never be. ;-)
  11. It’s typical KK scoring tho. 2,0,15. You just never know what’s next!
  12. There there must be a caveat to that rule then because even tho Scott was redeclared on the 6th April it reverted back to its original line up on the 10th. I’m guessing because Scott never rode a meeting once declared that’s why a reversing of the line up was allowed? Still all seems very odd timing and announcing between the 6th and 10th tho.
  13. One ringer was brought in legally before the play offs started, one was appealed after being turned down just for the play offs. slight difference. But both are hated by the majority.
  14. I’m just a little confused with the reverting back to original line up part of the rules, don’t you usually have to give 48 hrs to re declare or does reverting back to original line up cancel the need to wait 48 hrs? If Scott was injured Saturday they would have had to declare Saturday night to be able to convert back? Not like anyone can really explain the rules as I don’t think even those in charge know. Look how they messed up the Lambert situation for the play offs!
  15. It was great having Lambert back in the UK top flight, just not for 3 title deciders!
  16. Used to happen every season however since riders don’t want to ride over here like they used to and the lack of available decent riders the ringer system seems to now be saved for just the play offs.
  17. Bringing an injured rider back into the declared 1 - 7 seems perfectly legal to me, the timing of course is a different issue. Sadly the Lambert situation has opened a can of worms to allow ringers being brought in just for the play offs to win the title.
  18. But it’s in fact an upgrade because he will score more than 0 or 2.
  19. Becker was declared in the 1-7 and got injured. He is back in the 1-7 declared line up. Perfectly legal. Using a ringer just for the play offs outside the transfer window (which was why it got rejected first time) has never been allowed before yet suddenly it is. Yea, perfectly within the rules (depending who asks of course).
  20. So Becker is back in the declared 1-7 as of yesterdays new declared line ups, which makes the announcement of Nicholls as a temporary signing all the more odd. Of course it now makes the use of Harris as a guest as perfect sense yesterday. https://britishspeedway.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2023/04/p23_issue_4.pdf
