Lidsey was hot property during the Polish covid season, he seems in freefall since. And Cook finished with a higher Aces in 24. Cook looks on the way up, as evidenced by his startling form in Poland this season.
-
Can see only minimal changes for the Aces next season. Lidsey will probably stay over Cook. Think Lidsey is at his level now so I’d go with Cook personally.
-
Thanks for showing your complete ignorance of the sport.

It isn’t. It isn’t. It’s been mentioned many times. Monday night is the only night available for speedway at PB so not a chance. Not a number one, too expensive and way overrated plus well past his sell by best.
-
Despite him being 2nd highest scorer in the final 1st leg?
-
You might need a GP star but you will probably end up with Fricke. 🙂
-
I’m not sure even he can defend p**s poor.
-
What a damp squib of a meeting. Was there finally a pass after the 2nd bend in heat 15? Fricke always goes missing in the big meetings. He ensured the Lions had no chance with one win in 8 races. Pathetic. Becker was awful. An absolutely dreadful meeting devoid of passing or action.

Fricke always goes missing in the big meetings. 11 points over 2 legs is pathetic for a rider on a 9 point plus average. Leicester were never going to win either leg with a dreadful number one performance. Becker equally very poor.

The problem without the play offs is the season can be done really early for several teams or a dominant team can limp over the line with little to no fan fare. september is often a wet month so it almost needs a mini play off to decide the title end of August. UK speedway in the top flight would be virtually redundant without TV so for me I’m happy to go along with the play offs like other sports do. Works for me.
-
Yep always does. I’d not want him as number one of any club I supported.
-
I’ve always really rated Milik but he was abysmal for Birmingham and doesn’t appear that interested in the UK.

Fricke never seems the man for big meetings. He isn’t a number one I’d want leading my team personally. just not in the same league as the likes of Emil/Doyle etc. No doubt he will prove me wrong next Monday but I doubt it. He was abysmal on Monday . -

Thanks for the info. Thanks, thought I was going mad! I don’t remember ever having guests for second strings unless you had more than 1 rider injured. With the right rider should be advantage Aces next week. -

And if you don’t have a team to support or has closed down? quick question on the guest for Cook. Have the rules changed to allow guest for any missing rider? thought it was only your number one or reserves? -
It’s up to the track curator to decide what happens to the track. I know this as a fact because I used to track staff at Birmingham and we weren’t allowed to rake from the fence under the curators orders. We were only allowed to pull the dirt from the fence a few inches after the match. Granted it might be different at other tracks. Rakers are under the curators orders. Just catching up on all this. Aces were the better team. The Tigers took too long to get into the meeting which cost them big time. Holder(s) both of them cost the team big time. Jack seemed content to team ride Howarth 3 times. The wrong decision when you have big points to pull back. Harris of course has a stormer following his efforts on Monday which was defended because he is only a 6 point rider. The Lions will need to do better next week if they want the crown.

Yes, indeed!

Having now seen the original Facebook post from the mother (and replies) and then reading JHR response and those who were there it’s pretty obvious they are making up a story to get Jack in trouble. absolute disgrace. If I was Jack I’d share her post so everyone can see what defamation of character looks like. such a disgrace for this excuse of a family. -

Although play off Harris can often perform miracles which is why he is number one choice as guest. It does make me giggle however because if Harris has scored double figures (and again on Thursday) he will be hailed as a super hero and almost expected of him yet when he has a poor meeting the excuses come out and point to the fact that he is only a 6 point rider these days. As previously pointed out out he scored 7 on his last visit to the NSS and beat Bewley, Lidsey and Cook. obviously he got a hatful in last years play offs. People seem to make excuses for him when he doesn’t score well which I find very odd. -

5 points from a 6 point rider is pretty bad. How? Everyone says play off Harris always raises his game and brings his A game. as previously proven he can decidedly below average. He won’t rank the NSS as his favourite track that’s true however he was supposed to be a Monmore specialist!! 5 points from a 6 point rider is well below par. On his last visit he scored 7 and beat Bewley, Cook and Lidsey. These are riders he has proved he can beat. -

Decent enough meeting that certainly livened up in the 2nd half. Will 12 points be enough? pickering bike issues definetly cost the Tigers big points. Howarth was pretty bad. Play off Harris a big let down. Reminded me of his performance for Wolves one year. My money is still on the Tigers but they will need to be all on it on Thursday. The Aces will be pretty happy with 12 points tho. -
Ipswich vs Leicester play off Semi-final 9th Sept
stevebrum replied to ShanoXtra's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Congratulations to Leicester who are lucky to have got thru. Looks like Sheffield will maul them in the final. Ipswich did themselves proud for those performances over 2 legs. Turnbull is a complete embarrassment. -
I don’t think that counts tho as super heat points don’t count but only determine the result. for me they only count if they are official heat points.

Exactly. Although Britain won’t stand up to the Poles but UK has priority on a Thursday even tho the Poles expect us to relinquish riders.
