  1. Pretty certain you can close this thread as a no go. Plymouth lost money last year and with the increase in Championship fixtures I can't see there being any space in the calendar.
  2. Surely Pickering has to be the Brummies number one if he leaves the Monarchs. He's outrageously good at Perry Barr.
  3. Maybe we could get back on topic and discuss the Plymouth side for 2023...?
  4. Morley has had some good meetings at home no doubt, but his away form is awful and on that average it's a no brainer to avoid! Alfie is much a better rider overall and on a much better average too. Gilkes would be my first name on the team sheet if he's fit. He'd be a steal on that average. I've heard Richie Worrall is bound for Plymouth and Barker, if not banned, is almost certain to be back. I'd have MPT back in heartbeat on his average and Alfie was coming along really nicely, especially away, before his injury. 1. R Worrall - 8.30 (assuming 2.5% reduction) 2. Barker - 7.80 (assuming 2.5% reduction) 3. MPT - 6.76 4. Gilkes - 4.55 (assuming 2.5% reduction) 5. Alfie - 4.29 (assuming 2.5% reduction) = 31.70 It would then depend on the points limit on the last two, if 38 is the limit it only leaves 6.3, hopefully they keep the limit at 42 or even 40 to allow a bit more room to move.
  5. Change the record! This has nothing to do with league positions and you know it. You drew at Ashfield and beat them by 12 at home. They had no Brennan in the home match but Sedgmen still got 5. Ruml scored what Kemp would probably get at reserve. Even with Brennan it's not a 12 point swing. You know you're favourites and should beat Glasgow but as ever you wind up everyone on this forum. This forum would be a far better place without you and it's about time the mods did something about it and banned you.
  6. I'm sure that this is the case, they're the biggest keyboard warrior out there. I mean they must be alright in person as they'd probably have been beaten to a pulp if they were actually like that.
  7. You've had a stinker here! Suggest you a have chat with the Scunny promoter who blocked a signing Plymouth tried to make to replace said rider!
  8. This post like a lot of other posts about Plymouth in recent months is massively over the top around the fact that Plymouth played within the rules in using a guest facility. Many other clubs have done it over years gone by, it's the rules that are the problem, not the club. I'd have loved for us to have signed a replacement ad the club tried, for the record Sedgmen and Summers wanted crazy money to ride for Plymouth and I stand by the promotion for not going there, neither rider imo is very good at Plymouth. We approached a host of riders one of which agreed terms only for the Chairman to block it (nothing to do with the rider's links to Scunthorpe of course). All of that being said, guest facility or not, no-one could have foreseen the injury crisis, none of which occurred at Plymouth's track and it's a real shame for the fans that they won't get to see what promised to be a very competitive side in the playoffs.
  9. I don't think it makes an iota of difference to be honest. It is what it is, the injuries are what they are and the Plymouth seven that started the season may well have won tonight but Poole can do what they can to market it and play it down but this has 30 point win all over it. Unless some serious mechanical gremlins occur (possible of course) sadly the Glads are going struggle to win a heat tonight. Complin, Morley and Coles despite their efforts are unlikely to score more than 4 between them, Hans given his injury struggle and lack of form will do well to beat the Pirates 2nd stringers let alone get close to the top 3. Summers (if he gates) and Flint will probably top score but again seeing them beat a Poole heat leader is unlikely. I'd love to be wrong as I'd like nothing more than to see the Pirates mess this up and the Glads boys do the business but reality is these are two very mismatched teams with only one winner.
  10. Poole will almost certainly win both legs, far too strong for the Gladiators but I think we've probably got as good as we could have with who is available. What will make it interesting is which Sedgmen and Summers turn up. Either of them are as likely to score 0 as they are to get a max as they basically gate or they come last. If they gate, we may get close, but I'd still expect Poole by 10-12 tomorrow and by 20+ at Wimborne.
  11. Gutted for you Monarchs, hope another solution is found shortly.
  12. You realise the only one who thinks your sarcasm and tongue cheek posts are funny are you, right? I know you only post this garbage to get a rise and in the 10 years or so I've posted on here I've not actually risen, more laughed at how funny you aren't but I'll give you this time I've risen. At least the Poole boys will be so far in front tonight there's no risk of them fencing any of the Plymouth boys for a change.
  13. Complete farce, feel sorry for the Plymouth riders tonight and for the promotion. This should be postponed a week for the good of the sport. Lets face it Poole are winning this over two legs regardless of whether Plymouth have Hans back plus stronger guests or not but at least it could be more of a spectacle for supporters. Instead Poole fans will turn up to see 60 precessional laps of 5-1's and frankly if they don't achieve that questions should be asked of the home riders, they'll enjoy it because winning is all that matters regardless of entertainment value. I wonder if a few of the Poole boys will deliberately miss some gates so the fans get to see a pass. The knock on impact being only a handful will turn up at Plymouth next week which is a real shame. Ah well good old British speedway, at least Poole will be okay...
  14. Whats the betting that after tomorrow's inevitable rain off that BB's hearing this week gets postponed / outcome delayed...
  15. The answer is in the Plymouth v Poole thread for the playoffs. Poole have always had far too much influence at the BSPA, yet their fans are completely in denial about it. Own it!
  16. 100%! Poole pushed it, if the sport was governed independently the 2nd leg would be at Plymouth on the 13th.
  17. Sarcasm is not your best strength. Yet again Poole running the show in British Speedway to get their own way. the best for the sport would be to let this go one further week and I just hope it rains. Perhaps we'll call it off on Monday night due to the weather forecast.
